Politico Reporter Views Cain ‘Smoking’ Ad as ‘Weirdly Postcoital’

Interesting analysis of Herman Cain‘s now infamous ’Smoking’ Ad has continued to permeate the political spectrum, especially following reports that since its release, the campaign has seen a bump in donations. However during a recent radio interview senior POLITICO reporter Glenn Thrush gave his more bizarre take on the polarizing ad:

It is not totally clear what made Thrush associate the video supporting the 65-year-old former pizza, with postcoital sentiments. Do you see what would lead Thrush to make that association?

    Ahhh the great illuminati burn so dim again. I’m begging you guys – please, please keep putting this stuff out there…keep “enlightening” us… it’s working…really…no really it is…I wouldn’t deceive you…

    No really…we get it that Herman Cain is just some “local pizza delivery guy”, “black man that knows his place”,”can’t spell Iraq”, “flavor of the week” candidate.

    Now can you please tell us all again about this guy Huntsman and why you know that Obama is really really really really afraid to run against him…c’mon now – you don’t expect me to think for myself do you????

      What? Is this blog trying to foist that little lord fauntleroy (Huntsman) on us? REALLY? He is awful!! He chirped up at second debate: I SPEAK CHINESE !! Well, Dude, it evidently make any difference that the Ambassador who worked in the OBAMA administration spoke CHINESE did it? THE CHINESE have rolled over us.

    ABRAHAM YOUNG,, appreciate your referral to Mike Church. Blaze followers, like Mike Churches tax proposal a lot – a real lot. Ya know how the 99%ers want to steal from the 1%, or for all practical purposes, the 53% that do pay taxes. Mike says, we want to be like you, meaning the 47% that don”t pay any tax. I think that is a great idea. Just think, how many departments we could shut down, pretty much all of the cabinet offices and their burgeoning departments, education, interior, EPA, Commerce, Labor, Health and Human Services, Housing and Urban Development, Treasury Department (gets rid of IRS and Geitner at the same time). We just unloaded a raft of unnecessary freeloaders on the government payroll and the freeloaders on the streets. We are talking about 100′s of billions of savings annually. Most of these functions can be handled at the State or local level more efficiently, practically and economically, if in fact they are needed at all. Sound crazy? not if you are talking about real reform and saving the nation. Probably take some one with bowling balls as part of their human anatomy, but it could be done.
    We would keep the Department of State with a major overhaul, sending many of them overpaid blood suckers home too – to find a real job. Keep the Department of Defense, but revise the bidding and allocation of contracts to pay real costs, not hyper inflated to line the pockets of defense contractors – major savings there. Veterans affairs is a keeper. We owe them.

      Yea, how many of those departments were needed a hundred years ago? They’re all socialistic, that‘s why the socialists say we’re all socialists. In the “olden days” the elderly were taken care of by their families. The infirm were taken care of by their families. If I didn’t have 2 mortgages, I wouldn’t have my handicapped adult son getting SSI. (and that second mortgage isn’t on a summer home, it‘s a house that I’ve been trying to sell for almost 3 years now).

      Addendum: Homeland Security is probably a keeper, but one of the job description requirements would be conservatives only. Liberals need not apply. Janet Napolitano would not be grandfathered in.
      The Justice Department – that is probably a keeper, but major revisions and down sizing would be needed there. Why? Once again, get the government the hell out of our lives. This would also have to be posted, No Liberals Need Apply. As far as Holder, not only would he be not grandfathered in, he would be one of the first to be prosecuted under the revised Justice Department for selling our country down the tubes and supporting Obama in activities Holder knew to be illegal or unconstitutional. Also the West Texas US Prosecutors office would be closed and not only would the entire team be fired, but some would be prosecuted for corrupt practices relative to hamstringing our Border Patrol and falsely accusing and trumping up false charges and prosecuting noble, patriotic Border Patrol agents, who were simply doing their job and doing it well.
      All this being said and in all honesty and sincerity, this is the the only way to turn this country around. Any of our Presidential candidates have the cahones to pursue this path, for our Congressional leaders sure as hell don’t? They would rather play Who Dropped the Ball, or Pass the Buck, and Same Old, Same Old while the whole country is going to Hell in a hand basket.
      Tough times require drastic measures. Who is game to take it on?

That ad had nothing to do with sex but that’s where your liberal gutter slime heads went ? The MSM, Talk radio and on tv just don’t get it. Herman is not PC. He‘s so smart and way over their heads intellectually that they can’t comprehend their enemy ! Beautiful

      Bachmann is great and, yup, more conservative than Cain. But Cain has a better shot a winning in the gereral and he is the only conservative who can beat Mr. Moderate (who would either be Romney or — less likely — Perry) in the primary. That is just how things are shaping up. I am on the Cain Train. As I see it, the more conservative Republican electorate needs to get behind Herman Cain — otherwise, those Republicans are (wittingly or not) laying track for a Romney nomination.

What I get out of Herman Cain’s ad was his smile at the end, was that once he gets into office, he is going to kick every radical and American hating Marxist out of the white house as fast as he can.

    I gotta weigh in here. In reference to the ad, the part at the end where the camera comes in for a close up as he takes a drag on a cigarette is weird because there is a pause and the ad’s message is completely over, then there is the new scene which has nothing at all to do with the ad.
    What is the purpose of the scene?
    It’s almost spooky.
    I am a Cain supporter, and the ad bothers me. If the idea was to create free publicity, it certainly worked.

    My first thought, after seeing this ad for the first time, was not sexual at all. The message sent to me was all about our rights, and how they have been taken from us. Helmet laws, seat belts, smoking, etc.
    Herman Cain is giving the finger to all the lefties who believe that the federal government cares about us and our bodies, and feel they have to tell us how to live. I want my life back!

    I have to agree with Mike Church on this one. Why should we continue to pay ANY income tax when it’s unconstitutional, communist in principle, and half of us don’t pay it at all anyway? The Constitution states that all federal taxes must be apportioned equally among the states, not half the people pay and half go scot free. Those who don’t understand the Constitution are participating in their own demise

    All the democratic news media that focused on the smoking part as objectionable seemed to at least certain viewers as conveniently forgetting how many of the media and democratic politicians are known smokers by the public. Therefore, by calling attention to the smoking bit, they revealed that the message of the ad didn’t have a thing they could complain about or poke holes in. Only the person saying what he did was objectionable BECAUSE he smoked. To some viewers this is grasping at straws to find something wrong with a conservative that is commonly done even by democrats. The democratic news media are real suckers! Figuratively and in reality.

I just read Herman’s book “This is Herman Cain” and I suggest you losers read it and learn something about this man who is the “real deal”. I have no doubt the Left, the Socialist Party (formerly the Democratic Party) to include such wretched Obama worshippers as Biden, Pelosi (God help us), Reid (dimwit extraordinaire), and his entourage of other socialist cockroaches to include the paid for socialist media will do ALL they can to discredit or otherwise attempt to destory this intelligent and worthy man who is a good Christian, a Patriot, and someone who loves this country. No doubt the worshippers of this devil in Washington who simply hate America and our way of life will jump on Obama’s bandwagon especially for those 30 pieces of silver. Racists and agitators who hurt Mr. Cain’s campaign if they could i.e. Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, Harry Belafonte (who seems to have a bit of problem staying awake on the air), and a few others but to no avail.
