Vote: Did Carl Paladino Say ‘F*** Him’ to Question About Attorney General Holder?

A video making the rounds across the blogosphere today is raising more eyebrows about Republican New York gubernatorial candidate Carl Paladino’s campaign. The video originates from the National Journal’s Hotline On Call where Jeremy P. Jacobs laments that “it’s already been a rough week” for Paladino after he’s been widely criticized for comments on homosexuality, “and it looks like the hits are going to keep on coming.”
The latest “hit” is Hotline’s “previously unreleased” video of Paladino speaking to a March. 26 town hall audience in Tappan, N.Y. According to Jacobs, the video shows Paladino cursing Attorney General Eric Holder when a crowd member asks about the possibility of terror trials being held in Manhattan.
“If you were the chief executive of New York, what would your response be to the attorney general of the United States deciding to hold terrorist trials in Manhattan?” the unidentified questioner asks.
According to Jacobs’ assessment, Paladino responds, “F*** him. F*** him.”
But is this really what Paladino said? Let’s go to the tape:
It appears to me that the words were in fact not Paladino’s, but seem rather to come from an audience member seated near the camera’s microphone. For what it’s worth, I think Paladino is being wrongfully accused here. What do you think?

Posted on October 12, 2010 at 10:20pm…at :19 seconds you can clearly hear the voice (for the second time) say those beautifully TRUE words ~ even as Mr. Paladino begins to give his response.
Different HONEST person. Once again, the ‘media’ gets it LEFT… er, wrong.

Posted on October 12, 2010 at 9:13pmPaladio is not soft spoken, If he had said it, it would have been much louder. The sound was close to him, but not amplified as it would have been had Paladio said it. Although I try not to be blue, I echo the sentiments!

It will be Good for America for genertions.

Well, I guess they are really upset by my loud and unexpected reaction to TV and the internet. Poor critters have to suffer my loss of control to the outlandish lies. Shame on me. I have to reassure them they’re not in trouble too often.

Posted on October 12, 2010 at 8:15pmAs far as I can tell he did not say it. Sounds like someone else said it. Although I appreciate the sentiment I am very happy he didn’t use those words. I personally think that type of language is vulgar. I was taught that ladies certainly don‘t use that type of words and that real gentlemen don’t use them in front of ladies. My husband has never used that language in front of me or the kids and the kids sure as heck don’t use it where I can hear it….and they are in their late 20‘s and early 30’s. I also believe a politician should have a better grasp of the English language and have no need to use those words. Just my opinion. God bless all.

Posted on October 12, 2010 at 7:48pmYou can clearly see Paladino not saying f* him on the 2nd time when the camera is facing him and you can also clearly hear it is a different voice all together, the same voice as the first f* him when the camera was not on Paladino…
This is all much to do about absolutely nothing, more distraction from the left as we are seeing nationwide, they have no agenda to stand on, the country hates them, they can’t defend themselves so all they have left is smearing candidates like Palidino who are clearly in a winning position come November…
I‘ve said this before and I’ll say it again, everytime the left tries a smear stunt, show them what happens, go give another donation to a conservative campaign and show them the more they pull dirty stunts, the more ammunition we the voters and supporters give to the conservatives.
I just made my 3rd donation to ODonnell this AM and now I’ll make another donation to Paladino now:

I’d rather “Invest” my money in a conservative campaign, then allow the left to come and “Steal” it out of my paycheck in the future!!!

All the while the “community organizer” Soros’ propaganda machine was demonizing Bush on what now are proven to be false pretenses on all counts.

Posted on October 12, 2010 at 6:46pmIf you listen closely you can hear a different voice say this. Focus on the second expletive when you can see the camera pan back to Gov. to be Paladino. His mouth is clearly saying something at the same time the (’Eff him” hat tip to Joe Biden) is heard the 2nd time. So, with out a doubt, Gov. elect Paladino in fact did not say these two quoted jibes. ‘Nuff Said!

Posted on October 12, 2010 at 6:43pmI like an honest politician. Carl gets my vote! When I was a kid, I would spend summers(1980.s) with my Grandparents in Statin Island. My ears are still ringing like it was yesterday. My Grandparents would think I was watching TV, but I was listening to them.
My Grandpa would call Mario Cuomo some pretty nasty names for all the rotten things he did to NY. I read the son, Cuomo worked for dear old Cathlic in name only Dad. I really like Carl, but I would vote for anyone against Cuomo. I am voting the conservatives in and Democrats out! Until the Dems get control of their party again, I guess I will be voting against them for as long as it takes.
You Rock Carl. and I think we need someone who will fix things for NY, not just vote with and maintain the mess we’re in now that favors Indian land claims and NYC..

Posted on October 12, 2010 at 7:03pmI can hear “these are prisoners of war” at the beginning of the video. That sentence doesn’t actually seem to get said until after the applause.
Report Post »Just did a bunch of EQing and noise reduction on the audio: 1st instance sounds like “uh oh,“ and the second sounds like ”f—ed it up.”
BenInNY
Posted on October 12, 2010 at 7:35pmOne more thing: The place where someone says what sounds like “f—ed it up” there is no reverb, unlike the way everything Paladino is saying through the microphone has the reverb from the room.

Posted on October 12, 2010 at 9:15pmThat makes sense, It doesn‘t have the amplification of Paladio’s voice right before or after, and he is not a soft spoken man, If he had said it, there would be no doubt.

Posted on October 12, 2010 at 9:34pmYour absolutley correct. The voice patterns when scanned did not match in intensity or scope and the background sound seems to have different characteristics at the point where the second time it was said. The lips don’t match the words at that point either. You don‘t see Palidino’s face during the first instance, but, it doesn’t even sound like his voice at that point.

Posted on October 12, 2010 at 8:03pmThe real story here is not whether Paladino used the f word. Who cares if he did? The real story is the mindset of people who don’t want to use a judicial system, which while not completely perfect, has served this country quite well for its short history. With the Bush Doctrine of pre-emptively starting wars, the abuses at Abu Ghraib, and the condoning of torture by the Bush administration … with all of that, this country lost something very important. We lost some of the respect of civilized people around the world. It used to be that common people in other countries looked up to us, because we believed in the rule of law, and because we played fair, sometimes too fair. Holding a trial in Manhattan or anywhere, is just one small step on the road back to respectability. Let the rest of the world see again that our laws are good and our system is strong.
Report Post »AmericanPatriot01
Posted on October 12, 2010 at 9:26pmI have run a sound scan on the file and it appears that someone else said it. The patterns did not match any of Palidino’s speech sound patterns. I even tried to match them with the sound bites from the interview where he said “I’ll take you out.”, The intensity and the voice patterns didn’t match up with his. So, I know he didn’t say it.But I‘m sure he didn’t necessarily disagree with the statement and condonning it may be just as bad politically. But, I find his blantant honesty refreashing and SO called for in this Country. I’m tired of all these fake people. Nobody is like these professional stooges they have no soul, they freak out when it is exposed that they live secret lives. I don’t think tht would be a problem with this guy.
