This gets more frightening day by day.
They have been brainwashing their liberal base for years, and now that they are just about ready to impose dictatorial rule on the United States, liberal Democrats are actually welcoming it.

I can’t see this ending in anything but violence.

Nearly half of all Americans DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHAT BEING FREE REALLY IS. So how can they possibly understand that they could lose their freedom forever.

I know we are a nation of laws, but how far does this all go before we have to stop it physically? They certainly won’t listen to us, and they seem hell bent on destroying the Constitution.

Unfortunately we napped for too long and awakened in the fourth quarter. Maybe enough time on the clock to turn it around but I think this is how it has to be because of sad choices or no choices being made by us to pass down to the next generation our values and to have them understand how our system works, who are the players, what are the methods used to manage people, what is socialism, what is progressivism and so on.

I decided last night to have a long sit down with my son 15. To start explaining how we got here working back from WWII and moving forward. Understsanding the culture as I do and understanding geopolitics, foreign policy and the mindset of the progressive helps. The next generation will be lost if each of us does not do this daily to weekly with our kids.

Vote all you want, the problem lays deeper and starts with our kids. You gotta hope that by the time they get a family of their own maybe in the thirties that the light comes on. We need to close this gap and fast. They indoc our kids daily at school and so does the culture. You should have some input to make sure they know what their looking at instead of leaving them to form a false world view of the left. just a thought.

I work in the media industry and it is a billion dollar industry. I highly doubt advertising, TV production companies, radio will tolerate this overreach specially when they’re trying to interfere with money. This type of take over would put thousands and thousands of people out of work.

The problem is that there are still too many citizens thinking independently and not toeing the Democrat Party line. The gubmint is doing it’s best through public schools to dumb down the populace and beat the great unwashed into submission, but it’s still not happening fast enough for them. They have concluded that state-controlled and state-written programming is the best way to control the masses. I have no doubt that they will contort the law (big surprise there) to “find” that their power also extends to all cable broadcasts as well. Remember, the Constitution is a speed bump to them, not a wall.

I propose that the FCC let the consumers decide if a news program, show, or paper serves the values of the public. Obviously if the public does not feel they are receiving value from their radio or tv talk shows they have and will continue to judge their value by simply turning the knob to change the station. We the People do not need some stuffed shirt from the world of obscurity to determine for us what we fees is valuable. We the People do NOT need Washington to tell us what we need to teach our children on public airwaves. We the People do NOT need to be told where our values lie and with whom to place them.

This group of politicians should be applauded, (and shot at the same time) as this has been coming, ever so slowly, that most of you did not see it coming. I have been wasting (as my friends called it) my vote for years, cause I have not been voting Demo or Repub. They began to grow together in the late 60 I believe.
Just take one little right from us, and we did not complain becasue it was for our own good, and then another right goes, and then a few people get a small group together and make some noise and the govt. takes more rights away from others to appease the small group. No matter that the majority want it the other way the squeek gets the oil. I am so tired of the Few controling the Masses..

      @DG25

I was politely trying to inform the public of this in the late 1980′s. Nobody was interested in hearing me speak about it then, when (to me) the handwriting was already on the wall with all of the gun control, the so called “war on drugs” and emerging warantless roadside random “sobriety tests”.

You can never, ever giver politicians more power than they’re constitutionally permitted. Gun control via the BATF turned into “rule by unelected government fiat” as we’re seeing now as expanded Czarist rule, the war on drugs became the “war on terror” became the “war on everything with no defined enemy”, and warantless roadside searches became “you will let us grab your crotch and photo you naked…or ELSE!”

And there’s more coming. I really wish people would listen to me, and there are times when I’ve wondered if I was perhaps a reincarnation of the mythological Casandra.

“Without Freedom of Thought there can be no such Thing as Wisdom; and no such Thing as Public Liberty, without Freedom of Speech.” –Benjamin Franklin

“There are more instances of the abridgment of the freedom of the people by gradual and silent encroachments of those in power than by violent and sudden usurpations.” —James Madison

Guess the early Americans knew what would eventually happen to what they fought and died to give us… what we let slip through our fingers through our apathy. We watched it fall, one freedom at a time and did nothing.

“Those who expect to reap the blessings of freedom, must, like men, undergo the fatigues of supporting it.” — Thomas Paine

And we didn’t support it. We allowed them to send our men on wild goose chases around the globe , keeping us occupied, while they stole our freedoms one at a time.

The ‘ol Progressive “Control the Message” mantra. Things would work soooo much better if they could just silence the CONSERVATIVE voices that are gumming up the works. I have an idea: How about we have FULL disclosure of the FCC’s plans to investigate these claims that he is making. I’m talking about every E-mail, every note taken during closed-door meetings, transcripts of every conference and meeting calls involving policy making and investigation targets. Those should be posted on the FCC website so that we can understand their total “nuetrality” when they try to impliment these policies. Let’s be truly transparent, Obama Administration! TYRANNY AND THE MEDIA

When both Hitler and Mussolini came to power their first act was to assume total control of the media. It seems that this lesson wasn’t lost on the FCC. Can the FCC extend its Congressional Mandate to establish a group of street thugs named after the color of the shirt. Mussolini had his “Blackshirts”. Hitler had his “Brownshirts”. It would be appropriate for the FCC’s hoodlums to be named “Blueshirts.” Of course, his thugs can’t be effective until the citizens are disarmed.

There seems to be some confusion over Net Nerurality. It is a bit complicated but without it it is possible that individual will no longer have access to sites equally. That is to say if your local cable provider owns a site or is paid by a site they could direct you to it. They can also prioratize traffic such that IP traffic from sites that don’t pay them is slower. It is complicated, but don’t we want equal access to sites, and not he herded to others?

Divide and conquer…….The internet is the most valuable tool patriots in this country have to communicate, receive real information and network, so naturally that has to be stopped in the minds of our wannabe Communist masters. Get ready people, because the near future is going to be a very bumpy ride.

They‘re going to force our hand but I don’t think they realize what they’re up against. Free men and women that will die to protect their freedom. I’m ready.

This is no longer a joke…no longer a bunch of crazy conspiracy theorists. The rulers have made their move. I hope the people have the will and the might to resist. The military and the police will soon have to make a choice.

Did you know that neutralize and neuter have virtually the same meaning?

Either way, they’re making it “regular” or “normalizing” it. It’s the basis of regulation, they make it regular, not extraordinary as it is now. They want to make it ordinary through ordinances.

You can say they‘re chopping off it’s balls.

They can’t stop us from coordinating with each other with computers. All we have to do is build our own networks by directly connecting our computers from house to house using some ethernet cable and set up a peer-to-peer network OUTSIDE of their networks.

It might be slower, but we can do it, and we’ll find a way to make it work, we’re Americans.

You’re an Ohioan too? Central Ohio here, around Columbus (not in Columbus, north of it).

Net Neutrality changes how the internet functions today. Last check, the internet functions fine right now, today. It does not need changed and we don’t need somebody else to start deciding what is “fair”. We’re doing just fine on our own, right now, today. Leave us alone.

Born and raised in the poorest most miserable city in the country, Cleveland, Ohio.

Did you know that they’re about to increase our water and sewer bills threefold? From about $380 a year to over $1000..

They’re also putting microchips in city-issued garbage cans that they force you to use or face a hefty fine…they force you to recycle and check and weigh your garbage just like the Green Police Audi Commercial…

You can’t make this stuff up…they’re charging us $9 a month to have our garbage picked up, and we already pay the city worker’s salaries to do that, they use that money to purchase more city issued trahs can, and pay for the tracking microchips installed in each can..

The police unions already receive public contributions to their retirement pensions to the tune of 19.6% of it, and are asking for an increase to 25%, all the while this city is the most depressed and hit hardest by the mortgage crisis, and is broke, and crime is rampant.

Why are Repubs in congress so eerily silent on issues such as this? There had better be a full docket of investigations for the next two years into each of these government organizations who enforce laws/regulations that are unconstitutional. They had better be active in reining in this complete explosion of government oversight from every angle. If they don’t act quickly, Congress will be irrelevant (if it isn’t so already).

      @ Deutscher

      Re: “Net Neutrality”

The term “Net Neutrality”, as it is commonly known and understood, is a rather basic concept that says a carrier may not discriminate against content depending on who originates it, and forbids “double-dipping”, ie charging both the end-user and the website/service the end-user is connecting to for the same data.

These concepts could be enshrined in law with a bill a few pages and a few hundred words long, at most. Why is the legislation they propose a thousand-plus pages long and read like some cryptic, coded clue document from the movie “The DaVinci Code” or “National Treasure”?

It’s not that people who are against *this* “Net Neutrality” legislation are against the concepts behind a “level playing field” on the internet such as I had described above. They would be fine if that’s all that was in what they actually propose. What they object to is what is in the other 999 pages of what should be a one-page piece of legislation.

Unlike Congress, we actually like to know what’s in the bill before the bill is passed.

Although from the looks of things, it doesn’t much matter what Congress does anymore. The Czars and Federal Department bureaucracies have pretty much bypassed Congress and do as they please.

The new Representatives taking their seats in January will have a long list of things to de-fund, now including the FCC. Nearly every single thing Copps discussed in those clips are things the FCC has no business concerning itself with and NO power to regulate it, other than the threat of showing up with lots of big men with guns, as they have no Constitutional power to do the things Copps proposes.

Count me in as another Ohioan, Cincinnati area. And related to one of the newest congressmen from Columbus. During Thanksgiving, I asked him if he was going to de-fund PBS and NPR. He kind of avoided the question by saying he couldn’t do anything alone.

Worst case scenario, the Red Roach re-elects himself in 2012. Things will get ugly, meaning you should have an escape/protection plan for your kids. Commies hold patriots hostage through their kids. For starters, Glenn is wrong about homeschooling in that you will not be allowed to homeschool your kids. That is a given. Your children will belong to the State. Please prepare.
