‘Pre-Emptive Strike’: Sheriff Joe and Governor Brewer React to Obama’s Immigration Announcement

Arizona Governor Jan Brewer and Sheriff Joe Arpaio joined Arizona talk show host Mike Broomhead today in two separate segments to discuss the President’s decision to selectively enforce immigration law – a decision which Brewer said “has the status of law” even though it actively contradicts the law.

You can hear Brewer’s segment below, where she explains that this decision is likely a “pre-emptive strike” in anticipation of a likely Supreme Court decision in favor of the constitutionality of SB 1070:

Arpaio, however, was far less concerned about the decision, saying the timing had taken him by surprise, but not the substance of the move. He also said that the rules change wouldn’t affect how he enforced the law, and that he planned to keep right on going arresting illegals under state law. He did echo Brewer’s concerns that the new policy would spawn a run for the border, now that there is an incentive for young illegals to enter the United States.

“We‘re still gonna lock ’em up if we have ‘em on another crime,” Arpaio said.

      I will go for that. He should be jailed for treason. We are a nation of laws. He is thinking of what could happen to himself if the truth is brought forth. He is not likely eligible to be in the White House. This man is beyond evil as is Holder, Neopolitano, Nancy Pelosi, Van Jones, and Bill Ayers. They all need to be tried for treason for what they have and are doing to this country. Those Mexicans who brought those children in here knew it was criminal. The kids is their responsibility, not the responsibility of U.S. citizens to raise. They made that decision to put their own children in this delima and now they should have to be under the laws of our Constitution. They should help them someway, but not at the expense of our citizens. Obama allows payments to abortion centers who kill babies and there is no way this man can care about older children who were once babies.

    This will help find the parents who are here illegally so they can be deported. However,they will probably get a special dispensation to stay with their children because …. sob…sob… who would be so cold-hearted as to separate the children from their parents? Ages 16, 17-to early 20s is much too young to leave your children alone in a foreign country ….don’t cha know! :-(

      Wrong !! Romneys plan is a 20% decrease across the board. Those in the 35% bracket, would go down to 28% Those in the15% Bracket would go down to 12%. That’s a lot more than just extending the bush taxcuts. Mr Romney, himself, would have about an extra $5,000,000 in his pocket.

      Seriously, I wondered about that too. Does this ONLY apply to Hispanics who were brought here when they were under the age of fifteen by their illegal parent(s)? What about Africans, Arabs, Asians, and those from the European Continent whose parent(s) did the same thing? Not all illegal aliens are from Mexico. If it doesn’t apply to everyone then Obama is violating the clause of equal protection.

      Obama is setting up a scenario for those as well. I believe he is very aware of what he is and has been doing to this country. This man is not pro-American and is doing everything he can to promote the overburdening of this country. Those parents who brought those kids in here, commited crimes and this is what their children learn is that crime pays. We have to have Justice for our citizens and stand upon those laws we have. This is indeed a preemptive strike agains the citizens of this country in the guise of standing form something that would and does pull on the heart strings of all people. This nation will not stand making exceptions for all groups. There are so many different fringe groups that wants exception to the laws of this country, that when we give in to these various and sundry groups, our Constitution will be in shreds. That is their ultimate goal. They think they can rebuild and fill in the holes of this great shred with their own twisted laws that will then be used on whim, as it suits them in any situation that promotes their agendas. So either we stand or we will sink from the shredding of our Constitution by this likely ineligible man in our White House.

    Let’s just hope we can remove this dictator out of his office come November. Folk are so blind that they don’t see what is happening. Our Republic is at stake and we definitely need more leaders like Jan and Joe to stand up against this precursor to tyranny. Fortunately my state has, so far, stood up against the Executive branch so far (Alabama). I just wish the rest of the states would grow a pair and do the same since our Republic should not tolerate this. :)

      SHOW me in the Constitution exactly where the President has the authority to order that a law be ignored.

      Then show me where he has the authority to order a law be ignored on a selective basis.

      Then, while you are at it, show me what has changed between this year and last when HE stated, as a Constitutional professor and scholar, he did NOT have the power to do what he just did.

      Then you can explain how this does not fall under the High Crimes and Misdemeanors clause of the Constitution where there is a specific duty to “take care that the laws be faithfully executed.”
