President Michele Bachmann?

Could Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) be considering a title change? According to ABC News, the Tea Party favorite is considering a run for “Mrs. President.”

President Michele Bachmann?ABC News reports:

ABC News has learned that Bachmann, R-Minn., also is seriously weighing whether to seek the Republican nomination for president in 2012.

A source close to the three-term congresswoman said Bachmann will travel to Iowa this month for multiple meetings to seek advice from political forces there and party elders close to the caucus process before coming to a final decision regarding a potential presidential run. Bachmann, a native of Waterloo, Iowa, also is set to deliver a keynote speech at an Iowans for Tax Relief PAC fundraiser Jan. 21 in Des Moines, Iowa.

According to ABC, this will be Bachmann’s third trip to Iowa in the last eight months — trips that could pay dividends when the early Iowa caucuses roll around.

And Bachmann‘s staff isn’t going out of its way to shoot down the rumors.

“Nothing is off the table,” Bachmann chief of staff Andy Parrish told ABC News when asked whether the Iowa trip signaled Bachmann’s intent to run for president. “The congresswoman is excited about her first trip to Iowa this year.”

Those in the far left wing of the democratic party are NOT liberals, they are “progressives” who view
people like Mr. Obama the same way that the majority of the muslim population view mohamed. He can do no wrong, and can not be questioned. This is the definition of a cult, not a political party.
      and
mr middleclassprophet.. you might want to consider “lmao” as you could easily lose the few brain
cells you have left, should that part of your body become separated from the rest of you.

btw, why do so many of the marching morons from the progressive (right or left wing) cadre love
to use “LOL” or “LMAO” in their mindless diatribes ?

“btw, why do so many of the marching morons from the progressive (right or left wing) cadre love”

Excuse me, but the’re ARE NO “right wing” Progressives. That’s absolutely retarded–it’s the very definition of “conservative” to support the status quo (or what you think the status quo is, depending upon whether or not you’re a smart conservative)–you can’t want change, and also think tradition and values, and preservation of the existing order is good. And I know, you get around this be using revisionist history to sketch a kind of mythological “golden years” which you want to “return” to, but in the end, such people aren’t really conservative (unless of course they do end up supporting doing nothing either in intent or effect), they just want the change to be to their vision of good. This has been done before–the Nazis had the exact same myths and reexamining of German history, the same kind of “restoration”-ist rhetoric we hear from reactionaries around the world today. Now I’m not suggesting the Tea Party and the Nazis are comparable–I like to think that at the very least the overwhelming majority of Americans, while their passions can be inflamed, and while we may agree and disagree about a lot of things, are still committed to peaceful democratic debate and process. However, I am suggesting that both ideologies are equally rooted in mythology rather than fact, and that true Progressives only exist on the Left, because we (yes I am a Progressive) see the harms of the status quo, and envision a society that is truly democratic, that truly reflects the interests of the many and not the few. An economy that does what an economy is supposed to do–provide the means of producing goods and services that are useful to as many people as possible. To be a Progressive is to look at the great arc of history, to recognize the cycles of historical patten through which society, its institutions, classes, and structures of though, reproduces itself, and their consequences for each new iteration of the cycle; to be historico-conscience and to want to break the cycle, and create cycles which are positively reinforcing. To find a way to democracy that is positively reinforcing, that reproduces citizens of virtue and wisdom, to safeguard the democratic process, that vouchsafes their voice, and their control over the means of production of their society, which is a direct extension of social will. That is what it means to be a Progressive.

Just think, if we only had a functioning DOJ these last few years, half of the constitutional circumvention carried on by the left would probably have been stopped. I think he would sure straighten things out and throw those two Black Panthers in prison where they belong, right next to Geithner, Rangel, Frank, Dodd, and Waters. If any of the above were in the private sector and did what they did, they would all be locked up for a long time.

So your suggestion is wait until Nov of 2012 and what? Wing it?

@angroehl geee here we go an off the cuff question with no substance. NO…. I didnt say wing it. Now listen up. A politician that holds office that seeks a higher position should not run a campaign or campaign while in that position. Lets face it they persue a higher position that takes away from there current duties. I personally dont think its fair to the taxpayers to continue to pay these people and there not full filling there elected responsibilities. Case in point Obama a US Senator campaigned for 2 years while holding that position, he drew a salary of roughly $350,000.00 (for 2 years) at taxpayers expense while campaigning. Politicians regardless what party that seek a higher position in the Federal Government should resign and than persue there ambitions. The Federal Government ie: congressional members and senators waste to much taxpayers money persuing there careers @ our expense (there nothing more than career managers for themselves). In my personal Opinion in modern today times theres one person that did the right thing and leave public office to persue there further endeavers is Sarah Palin. I felt she left as Gov of Alaska was a wise and smart move, and not to burden Alsaka taxpayers with all the bogus ethic law suits leveled at her. Heres a little tidbit info for you theres 400 plus representives and 100 senators each and every office is given a 1 million dollar budget each year to run there office, That equates to $500,000,000.00 plus a year of the federal budget THATS DOWN RIGHT stupid, theres more than 4 million total federal employees. They talk about budget reductions lets start right there and down size the federal government rolls and do away with all public service unions WE THE PEOPLE could save alot of money if we start there. Bottem line if you hold public office they should never have to run a campaign there record and what they have accomplised should stand alone.

Like I said TIFOSA, we are discussing Mrs. Bachmann and I was specifically showing Whitetea that he has once again, on these pages, made a Freudian Slip. I could care less what you want me to see that is out of context to this thread. There is probably very little you could point me to that I’ve not seen before, but again, we are speaking of Ms. Bachmann here, not Karl Rove.

Anyone who believes Palin will fill the second slot again is smoking to many prescription cigarettes. She might fill a cabinet position, but the days of letting someone else control her voice are over. Regardless, let’s not let them distract us with these conversations, but stay focused on what we need to get done now. If Baughman holds her ground and spends the year fighting for the will of the people (successful or not) this will be a much better and more important conversation then. Don’t miss the fact that this was ABC that has put this story out at the exact same time as Baughman is trying to maintain a narrative the conservative public want.

Listen, I like Bachmann/Palin, but the Progressives will use Palin as a devisive wedge (experience, would you want her Prez. if Bachmann couldn’t serve, they’ll say).

You have to keep your eye on the prize, which is the White House. West is the one to have on the ticket. He will draw the black vote, at least the sensible ones. There are many blacks tired of the racially-motivated, racially divisive tactics, and more Conservative blacks show up at our TP meetings all the time. One is a major speaker at our meetings, and a great guy.

THE REPUBLIC IS IN CRISIS :
A champion of freedom, reminiscent of George Washington, will be necessary for the Republic to survive. This new leader must fulfill Ayn Rand’s definition of a “Radical for Capitalism” and will have to be a charismatic speaker to Garner the popular support required to save the Republic. At this time there’s no one on the national scene that fulfills these specifications.

Two personalities that show promise are Herman Cain and Marco Rubio. Both of these men are excellent communicators but they have yet to earn extensive public support or demonstrate that they are truly “Radicals for Capitalism”. Only time will tell if either of these men has the philosophy and the charisma to save the Republic. Perhaps someone, unrecognized today, will rise to the occasion.

Who do you think has the capacity to restore the Republic? http://commonsense21c.com/

It is independents who decide a presidential election. The Republican candidate MUST appeal to independents as well. Do you think a military man like West would do that? I’d LOVE a West/Bachmann ticket, but West would be portrayed by the left as a torturer, a warmonger, a fascist, etc. IMO, his military background would not be an asset in a presidential race.

One more thing. I did not like the fact that he joined the Black Caucus. He gave a good response for doing so, but the Black Caucus is a MARXIST-infested organization, and there is a 50-50 chance that he might be the one who is transformed, instead of the other way around.

Independents are not dumb; they just have a different mindset. I don’t disagree that a strong conservative leader would appeal to them, but our notion of “strong” may not be the same as theirs, case in point, Palin. All I‘m saying is that it is statistically impossible to beat Obama if we don’t get independents on our side. We need to choose our candidate wisely, i.e., with that in mind. Again, look what happened with McCain. We handed over the presidency on a platter.

Keep in mind that 2012 will not be an ordinary presidential election. A commie is in office. He has a huge machine, the MSM, and an insatiable lust for power.

I sympathize with the spirit you said that, but respectfully disagree on one point. We’re not creating a sexless society, that at least would have some level of equality before the law and some notion that the “Y Gender” contributed things of value just like the “X Gender”. No, we’re creating a Female society. Men are not being turned sexless, they’re being turned into females, and subservient ones to the Dominant Brood Queens at that.

Well, many are anyway. And our supposed saviors now? Bachmann and Palin. Oh joy. Don’t get me wrong, I like Bachmann. It’s just frustrating to know that “people like me” are essentially prohibited from not only public office but from most high level jobs these days as well.

Also – if she is elected president, I hope her first order of business is to sign an executive order allowing anyone named Michele, or Michelle, or Mishelle or whatever to exact a fine of $50 from each person who is stupid enough to sing “Meee-shell, my bell” when they meet her. That would be lovely.

(Can you tell what my name is? LOL!)

Sorry but McCain and prefect example of why catering to the middle does not work, the man worked with democrats more then his own party and stopped the republicans agenda more then once to be a “maverick”. McCain was a sellout that could not rally the base even with Palin at his side. The middle is not dumb just without conviction and easily pushed one way or the other by momentum. Obama had momentum with media and “first black president” ect…. rally the right like in the midterm (nov) with many tea party candidate and the middle follows there I said it all nice. But it still leave the middle as swishy washy and to be spit out in my view and that of the good book. Right now the world cries out for a leader and they will get one it just if its a Chavez, Hitler, Obama type or Palin, Glenn, Reagan type. The middle will not decide they will do what they always do and follow the momentum.

I LOVE it, even though it’s utterly unconventional. Have we ever had a President from the House? She is a “Radical for Conservatism” without question, and without parallel. She would set the GOP on it’s ear, which is what we need, and she doesn’t have the negatives Sarah has. She would satisfy the white guilt of the independents who went for The Anointed One for the romance of it, and she would thrill us Tea Partiers to the core.
I, for one, do not want to be backed into a corner over two rich white guys like Romney and Huntsman, and God save us from an affable compromiser. It’s going to take someone completely unexpected to beat the Obama machine. Herman Cain, Michele, Mike Pence.
Sarah should be Sec. of the Interior, IMHO. She can get the government out of the land business and into the energy production business, please God!

Obama lowered the bar so much that almost everyone else in the country could be considered OVER-QUALIFIED! I hope they continue to underestimate the TEA Party and our Candidates.

I’d vote for her. She has experience well beyond what Obummer had/has. Obummer’s teleprompter has more experience. Bachmann stands on principal and does not make excuses for it. Let’s see how the campaigning goes. I think she is better than the bunch of names that has been’s that have been floated about, the old guard fools. Not interested in the professional schmuser anymore. I would like to see a solid conservative limited government principaled leader. Bachmann seems to have the attributes, but does she have drive and brilliance to rise above the BS that will inevitably be thrown her way. Hard saying? But in my mind, she is welcome to join in the fray.

I would vote for Bachmann. I would even open my wallet to support her campaign. She has demonstrated a level of understanding of American history, the founding principles, and the constitution that I have not been hoping to see Palin demonstrate but have yet to see. She has also demonstrated a willingness to act in accordance with the founding principles and the constitution even at personal risk.

For this woman, I would vote.

Another excellent choice for president. In fact, it would be fun to see what the team of Sarah and Michelle could do as prez and vice-prez.

All truth passes through three stages:
      First, it is ridiculed;
Second, it is violently opposed; and
Third, it is accepted as self-evident.

That just made my day Sparky!! Thank you for that! Looks like I found a new quote to update my status with!

I think Bachmann would make a great candidate! The upside to her last name is that there is not a stigma attached to it which people will vote against no matter of creed. This is what she has on Sarah. However, I feel the power of Plain in undeniable! BUT, I would love to see a Demint/Bachmann ticket and then see Sarah appointed to Head of Homeland Security (because you know how tough that woman is, I would feel extremely safe being guarded by a mama grizzly!)
Might as well throw Napolitano in as the AG and Paul as the sec of state while you’re at it too!

Isn’t it fun to dream up tickets when we have such strong conservatives to choose from!?

Cobra Blue, the real men are occupied with the War on Terror which leaves plenty of room for sneaky, progressives back in the US to further emasculate the American male. Seriously, though, its a shame when the only group claiming to embrace “Manliness” are those type of swine we see on The Man Show.

Two good things with Bachmann…the Left can‘t say she’s not qualified, and us Tea Partiers can’t say she has not been consistent with supporting smaller gov. She’s been a strong voice in that regard all along.
West would be a good running mate, no doubt. Him being black ,to boot, might begin to draw away some blacks from mindlessly voting for the Dems.

      @COBRA BLUE

Men are supposed to be the spiritual leaders and judges of nations.

However when in the event men don’t have the kahonies to stand in the gap GOD will raise up women that will be successful at that enterprise. It is no coincidence that many new leaders striving against the evil progressive movement are women and I believe WILL play a key role here in America to reverse the tide. It would glorify GOD and not contradict the word to hope (real hope!) that right here in America such things may become reality if we only stand in GODs light, press on, and fight the good fight.

      @ME
I don’t know if you check back. I don’t always have time to reply the same day, and Blazers rarely stay on a thread long enough to have a substantial debate.

Neither Palin nor McCain appealed to independents. Polls show that Palin would not get their vote if she ran for prez. You are right that McCain is a moderate/RINO, but the reason he lost was that he has a weak character, and independents bought the image the MSM sold them of Obama as a stronger persona. McCain’s base still held their nose and voted for him; independents did not. Thus, we have to do a better job of convincing independents.

Unfortunately, we have to work twice as hard as Dims to get independents to look at our candidate. Those suburbanites lean Democrat, but they WILL vote for a Repub, if Dims mishandle the economy and/or our candidate has a very strong, well-rounded personality in their view. The left and its fringe media know this, and THEY SOLD INDEPENDENTS THE PERFECT MAN. Let me be a little cynical — or practical — and suggest we study how they portrayed their fantasy Obama, and we will have a clear picture of what appeals to independents. It does not mean we have to compromise our principals. We just have to be wiser in choosing a strong conservative who will ALSO appeal to independents more than Obama. Admittedly, that is not an easy task.

You mention Tea Party tactics, but the Tea Party failed to boot Reid out of office, and he was KEY. Multiply the Reid machine a thousand-fold, and you will get what we are up against in 2012. The fact that the Tea Party was unable to defeat Reid does not bode well for 2012. We also lost CA, and Whitman was an excellent candidate.

I hope we learn from the mistakes we made in both elections. America will not survive a second term of Obama Marxism. In fact, we are lucky if we survive this one.
