President Obama Accuses Opponents of Telling ‘Fibs’

During a campaign stop in Colorado Tuesday, President Barack Obama told a group of fired up Colorado State University students that Republicans were willing to “fib” in order to win the election.

“You have a chance to prove the cynics wrong one more time. And over the next two months, the other side is going to spend more money than we’ve ever seen before. They will throw everything they’ve got, and the kitchen sink. They’ll just make stuff up if they have to — they’re doing it already,” the president said.

“And they will send an avalanche of attack ads and insults. They will try to distract you, and sometimes — how do I put this nicely — they will just fib. And it’s backed by $10 million checks,” he added.

You want to talk fibs? Alright, let’s talk “fibs.”

Of the two men running for president, which one has been accused of being a tax-cheating, SEC document-falsifying killer?

“Fibs”? How about that pro-Obama ad that accuses Romney of “saying anything to get elected“? You know, the one that claims President Obama didn’t say things he actually said?

Or how about the ads that falsely accuse Mitt Romney of being some sort of “outsourcer-in-chief“? Or the endless attacks on Romney’s taxes? Remember those? We sure do.

Yeah, let’s talk “fibs.”

      Wheres Hope and Change, where are the jobs where is the deficit reduction? Why isn’t Sweet Old Barack running on his accomplishments in the last 4 years?

      IAMMADDOG, I was just responding to VOX’s same excuse. As I said their, maybe the word removed can be seen as a bit of extrapolation, he essentially watered down the requirements for work, that it virtually dose not exist. And as you said, by executive order he has again attempted to change a law that was properly put through congress and signed by a sitting president. Eventually, this will go to the Supreme Court.

You said earlier that he “left Bain in 1996.” That‘s not even in line with Romney’s lie of leaving in 1999, and certainly not in line with SEC docs signed by Romney stating he was CEO and sole shareholder in 2002.       This is what WHACKO considers to be “interesting and provocative” (small minds right?). He‘s bleated to me that he won’t answer for Obama’s adding $6trillion to the debt when he said he’d halve it by the end of his first term nor will he address Obama keeping unemployment consistently over 8% during his tenure when he said it would be 5% today. All this “stuff” WHACKO considers beneath him to answer because he claims to be a “busy” retiree who “stands in the truth” and doesn‘t have time to address Obama’s debt and joblessness. I simply asked whether you believe Romney left Bain in 1996 as you have insisted, or in 1999 as Romney has insisted, or in 2002 as the SEC filings indicate. (Where’d you get that 1996 idea anyway? Have you been listening to Ann Coulter again?)

      No, SEC filings do not indicate 1999 . . . Here’s the truth:

      Now, you may not think that is much, but it is obviously enough to stump you. As for the smoking gun, it‘s in Romney’s taxes. And as I’m sure you know, President Obama and even Harry Reid have legal access to those returns. They already know what’s in them. Now, there are legal restrictions dealing with the public release of those records. If I were you I’d brush up on those legalities, because when Mitt’s tax information comes out, and it will, that‘s all you’ll be left with – whining that “they didn’t play fair.” Two things: First, so boo frickin’ hoo. And second, you won’t be able to pin it on Obama or Reid. Call it pay back for Janesville.

      Speaking of “the only thing you have left” – please – regale us with your insider knowledge of executive separation in the corporate world. (Hey, doesn’t that refute your claim that the SEC indicates 1999? Why yes I believe it does. Sloppy.)

    That’s hysterical coming from the man that said he had the power to detain Americans indefinitely, but wouldn’t use that power. That’s just off the top of my head. I don‘t believe a word that comes out of this man’s mouth. Anyone that would is a fool.
