President Obama Allegedly Sent This Congratulatory Letter to a Recently-Married Gay Couple

President Barack Obama has characterized his views on same-sex marriage as “evolving.” While he has traditionally opposed gay marriage, some intriguing developments — including a wedding card he purportedly sent to a gay couple — are leading to questions surrounding whether he’ll soon change his mind. With the campaign cycle heating up, this may be a demographic he’ll more actively pursue.
Regarding the alleged note: A recently-married gay couple has come forward saying that they received a random card from the president. The note, which offers them well-wishes as they start their life together, may be further evidence that Obama is preparing to turn a corner on his views on gay matrimonies (or, at the least, it‘s an indicator that he’s ready to actively pursue votes among this electoral cohort).
The letter, which was dated Dec. 8, 2011, offers congratulations “on this special occasion.“ It goes on to say that both Michelle and the president ”hope it is blessed with love, laughter, and happiness.”
The relatively short note, which appears to be on White House stationary, concludes, “I wish you the very best as you embark on your journey together and hope that your bond grows stronger with each passing year.”

Matt Katz and his husband Aaron were married on July 24th at Borough Hall in Brooklyn. They have no idea why they received the card.
Matt says, “I’m not sure why the letter got sent to us. Aaron and I were married on July 24th at Borough Hall. However, we had our wedding ceremony on July 23rd at my dad’s house the day before. Maybe word got out that we were outlaws for a day?”
If Obama did, indeed, send this letter, it would be yet another act that could help rally a portion of the electorate the president has been trying to attract — gays and lesbians. Already, the Obama administration has dropped the court fight to preserve the Defense of Marriage Act. Additionally, the military’s “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy is no longer on the books.
While the letter may be a fake, it’s certainly interesting to note the “evolution” that could be unfolding.

Homosexuals can’t procreate so they MUST indoctrinate, and adopting innocent little children is a way for them to do just that.
Someday an enterprising investigating journalist will look into the harm caused by homosexuals against children and reveal to the world the hideousness of homosexual adoption. These people have a terrible influence on the lives of innocent children. Is there any doubt most of these people will encourage their normal children to pursue same sex relationships?
We had a sample of that when the lesbian prompted her adopted son…….against his wishes and in complete embarassment…..to tell Michell Bachman his “Mommy doesn’t need fixing,” in spite of the fact she needs intense psychotherapy to get well, but refuses to cast off her perversions.
Homosexual adoptions are the very worst crimes of the 21st Century, on a par with some of the most egregious genocide in global history. And today’s politicians are complicit in their evil crimes.

As for “TRYING” to get the gays to vote for him? Er, they march lockstep behind every marching point that comes out of the DNC, so I don’t think he is going to expend much effort on the gay vote. He could mock them openly, and they would still vote for him. Sure there are a few exceptions, but, it is an overwhelming majority of them that blindly support the socialist democrats. If certain states still had their way, slavery would still be the norm. At the very least, a certain segment of our population would still be riding in the back of the bus. That is why Federal law always trumps state laws and it should on matters concerning equality. Like it or not, gay marriage is here to stay. Posted on December 20, 2011 at 7:30amLooks to me like somebody wrote the White House asking for a congratulatory letter for a newly married couple and the White House responded. There is no indication that it was to a gay couple of straight couple and it is not an original signature. This is a NON-story. Any effort to make this evidence of an emerging thought process on gay marriage is a stretch.

I don’t care if someone is gay, just don‘t put it in my face and don’t try and tell my kid that your lifestyle is okay, and don’t try and take over my church, and don‘t ask for preferential tax treatment by structuring yourself as ’married’! The tax breaks for married were intended to benefit the concept of family with children! If you don’t like the tax breaks, argue against them; but don’t play chameleon and try and argue that you are married–you are not husband and wife, and never will be! You won’t have offspring of your union and if you acquire dependents, it will be by other means. Argue for THEIR benefits, not that you are ‘married’! I‘d like to see us go back to ’no benefits’! It is wrong when government takes from one to provide for another! Equal taxes for all, and have faith that ‘the rich’ will contribute to your benefit by spending their wealth, rather than have our government spend it for them! And, this, by the way, leaves open the door that YOU, TOO can become rich and not suffer onerous taxes when you get there! Once you take away the economic incentives to be industrious, you are no longer industrious! Why do you think that everythign you buy comes from China? It is not because of the rich people! It is because the Chinese are more industrious than we are! And, now, you suffer the result! Better get busy!
