President Obama in Chicago: Let‘s Go ’Forward‘ to a Future of ’Shared’ Prosperity

President Obama on Sunday asked a group of enthusiastic supporters at a fundraiser in Chicago whether they’d rather “go forward” and experience a future of “shared prosperity” or backward and support the “policies that got us into this mess in the first place.”

“Too many folks still don’t have a sense that tomorrow will be better than today. And so, the question in this election is which way do we go?” President Obama asked.

“Do we go forward towards a new vision of an America in which prosperity is shared? Or do we go backward to the same policies that got us in the mess in the first place?” he added.

“I believe we have to go forward,” the president said. “I believe we have to keep working to create an America where no matter who you are, no matter what you look like, no matter where you come from, no matter what your last name is, no matter who you love, you can make it here if you try.”

“That‘s what’s at stake in November. That’s what is why I am running for a second term as president of the United States of America,” he added.

Does any of this sound familiar? It should. This isn’t the first time the president has talked about “sharing the wealth.” Remember back in 2008 when President Obama was caught off guard by Samuel Joseph Wurzelbacher (aka. “Joe the Plumber”)?

      That doesn’t sound FORWARD. That sounds like taking away “the right to pursue happiness.” If people allow this, then life and liberty will likely soon follow. The only rights would be whatever the dictators say they are at the time and even they will be ignored by the government just as every totalitarian state does. This is very, very BACKWARDS.
      Stay on the Obama bandwagon, Hollywood! Share or give up your mansions and your huge paychecks, your cars, your yachts, your private jets… Who will repair them when they need it? Why? Free stuff for everyone, why work if everyone gets the same share. Isn’t this what the pilgrims tried and they realized it was a terribly bad idea as they were starving?       So what does this data tell us?

      For starters, given that all of these two-term presidents experienced better job growth without the assistance of the massive tax cuts for the wealthy provided by President George W. Bush, it certainly seems fair to note that a certain amount of job growth would have come during the years George W. was president—whether he had given us the tax cuts or not.

      And if one feels the need to argue that tax cuts are the great driver of employment, the comparative numbers presented make it shockingly clear that these tax benefits to the wealthy do little to nothing to even keep up with the employment increases under all of the other two term presidents of the modern era, with the exception of poor old Ike.

      At the very least he is a marxist, I believe that a very strong argument can be made that the man is a communist. His comments and actions over and over again reflect his true beliefs. Whether its his comment about business owners not being responsible for creating their own businesses or his belief that it is the responsibility of the federal government to fund the businesses he deems fit like solyndra and lightsquared and to try and bankrupt those that he doesn’t, like the coal and oil industry, he reveals his true beliefs and they are not in line with our constitution. He preaches about SHARED prosperity but when was the last time you heard him talk about INDIVIDUAL liberty and responsibility? You haven‘t because he doesn’t believe in those things, what he believes in is COLLECTIVE salvation and spreading the wealth around. So if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck…..

      It’s not prosperity that Obama wants to share, It’s poverty that Obama wnats to shares. You don’t bring the bottom earners and slackers up by stealing from the middle and upper earners. This only serves to bring society down. Of course a society becoming more depended on the government has always been the true goal of the progressives.     “Shared prosperity” works so well in Europe. It totally does! Just look at it. Every country there is effectively bankrupt. Yes, even the rich ones like Germany and Austria. The German national debt is way above 2 trillion Euro (that’s the official debt, the real one is way above 7). The Austrian national debt went from 70% of the GDP to 80% within just one year. In Germany the completely out of control welfare state eats up 50% of the annual budget (and adds even more debt.) There are people in those countries, an ever growing number, who say openly “Why work?”

    You can get more money from the government in Germany and Austria with not working than by actually going to work 40 hours a week.

    Meanwhile taxes there are through the roof. Income tax up to 50% of your salary in Austria (49% in Germany), VAT up to 20% in AUT (19% in GER). Fuel prices are through the roof as well, thanks to more than 50% of the price being actual taxes and that’s not counting the VAT (which for fuel is 20% in Austria.) And this isn’t even counting all the other taxes and fees one has to pay.

    Today the Germans don’t even know whether their gold reserves (which are not stored in Germany, of course) still exist or not. The last time anyone has seen those was in 2007.

    Working as planned, if the plan is complete destruction. And Obama wants exactly such a system.

      And btw, income tax at 50% in Austria starts at making 60,000 Euro per year. That’s 60,000 over 14 salaries (different, very unique, system.) People on welfare also get their main payments 14 times a year.

      Also, I know some local small business owners. They have massive problems finding apprentices to learn their trades. The reasons? Well, more and more kids coming out of school say “Why work?” And then there’s the issue that kids coming out of school are simply too stupid to be useful. I wish I was kidding. Proper German skills? Basically zero. Basic math skills? None. What good is a carpenter apprentice who can’t even calculate the area of a square, who can’t even write one coherent sentence and who has zero working spirit?

      None, of course.

      The dumbing down of schools and the out of control welfare state is part of the plan of our dear left wing. Schools of higher education in Germany, for example (just like in Austria) -there’s a different system than in the US or UK-, no longer educate, but rather indoctrinate. School books are openly anti-capitalistic and support left wing ideology. School kids are useful idiots who march through the streets protesting against “evil” Israel and moan about “evil” capitalism while cussing out “the system”.

People who work hard to make ends meet are paying into those not working, and this is “sharing prosperity” ugh no it is letting the government rule and we just sit there and let them.       Sameness…that is what is like in the book “The Giver”. It’s a short book and a quick read. As I read it I thought to mysell…just how many years are we away from this type of life because it seems like we are going in that direction. Right down to the way your final years of life are planned out. Check it out. My friend’s daughter had to read it for school and I borrowed it whe I spent the weekend at their place. I finished it by the time I had to go home. And I am not a speed reader!

When voting time comes around again, the two 26 year olds will vote for Obama to keep stealing two thirds of my paycheck and giving it to them.     I highly doubt that what ever it is that currently resided in the wh..will be leaving anytime soon.

      Only if B.O.Plenty walks a Chitown street at night in disguise with a pocket full of cash. btw…I can’t help but wonder if the Ca. refinery fire was arson. It seems a little too convienient to me.
