    The right to a speedy trial…I would say his trial came very quickly. Lets analyze this trial;
    The courtroom was Yemen; The judge was the Hellfire controller; The jury was the drone; The drone agreed he was quilty and sentenced him to death; The missile was the conviction and the electric chair; The explosion was justice! Pretty fast if you ask me!

    It was probably Leon Panetta’s doing again. I’m sure Valerie Jarrett tried to block this assasination attempt as well.

    Considering Obama was nothing but an obstructionist to our war on terror before his election, it sure is ironic that his only successes have been terrorist kills.

    Okay he speaks on the assassination of this guy — now the next question is how long until the names and locations of this band leaks out and they are ambushed and killed or executed?

      Bad precedent. Our government just killed an American citizen without due process. Congress had a responsibility to use a Letter of Marque and Reprisal to apprehend Awlaki and try him for treason.

      You have to understand that America has seen encroachments of unConstitutional federal usurpations of authority in the past, and this killing of Awlaki is such an encroachment.

      For example, bBefore the Constitution allowed the federal government to take over the responsibility of granting citizenship, the individual States could make citizens of anyone they wanted until 1808.

      During this time, Congress overstepped their Constitutional authority by passing the Alien and Sedition Acts.

      As noted in the Kentucky Resolutions of 1798, allowing the federal government to violate States’ rights as pertaining to aliens would allow them to suppose they had the right to violate them pertaining to natural citizens.

      See here.

      The Kentucky Resolutions of 1798
      http://www.constitution.org/cons/kent1798.htm

      “… the friendless alien has indeed been selected as the safest subject of a first experiment; but the citizen will soon follow, or rather, has already followed, for already has a sedition act marked him as its prey …”

      (Side note: Wallbuilders.com gets the Nullification issue wrong: Jefferson did NOT later denounce Nullification – he held both the federal AND State governments to the Constitution.)
