President, VP Taxes Revealed: Guess Who Doesn’t Qualify for Buffett Rule and Who Gives 1.5% to Charity

Obama Doesnt Qualify for Buffett Rule; Biden Gives 1.5 Percent to CharityJust in time for tax day, both President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden have released their tax returns.

“Together, [the Bidens] reported adjusted gross income of $379,035. The Bidens paid $87,900 in total federal tax for 2011. They paid $13,843 in Delaware income tax and $3,614 in Virginia income tax,” the White House website proclaims.

“The Bidens contributed $5,540 to charity in 2011,” the site adds.

But you know what this means, right?

“In other words, the Bidens donated less than 1.5 percent of their adjusted gross income to charity [emphasis added],” the Weekly Standard’s Daniel Halper writes.

By comparison, the president gave far more to charities: nearly 22 percent of his adjusted gross income in 2011.

Obama Doesnt Qualify for Buffett Rule; Biden Gives 1.5 Percent to Charity“[Obama] and the First Lady filed their income tax returns jointly and reported adjusted gross income of $789,674. … The President and First Lady also reported donating $172,130 – or about 22% of their adjusted gross income – to 39 different charities,” the White House website reports.

Hey, wait a minute. To repeat myself, do you know what this means?

President Obama “does not…qualify for the so-called Buffett Rule that he has promoted relentlessly and the Senate will take up on Monday,” the National Journal’s Matt Vasilogambros.

As most Blaze readers know, the much-touted Buffett Rule (named after billionaire Warren Buffett) seeks to impose a minimum tax on those making over $1 million a year. However, according to his 2011 tax returns, it looks like the president is exempt from his “fair share” rule.

And now, a video of the president saying “I should pay more taxes” (via Fox Nation):

Encinom, you’re a troll, you’ve always been a troll, and you’ll always be a troll. Yes there are some on here filled with hate. That’s obvious. But it‘s not be people you’re pointing out. Conservatives are looking to make a better, stronger America. Liberals are focused on getting more for themselves and making everybody “feel good.” I don’t see the hate on the conservative side as a whole. I do, however, see a lot of people from the liberal side trying to destroy any symbol of Christianity. Seems like hate to me.

Obama Lies to make Himself look Reaganesque in his Buffet Rule and his class-warfare speech!
__Two speeches Reagan made on June 28, 1985 and June 6, 1985 where he quotes a letter from a business man stating that it was crazy where some millionaires pay a zero tax. Reagan was trying to get a tax cut for all Americans which he succeeded in doing ultimitely by cutting taxes across the board by 25 percent. The Obama lie is that Reagan wished to raise taxes on the wealthy.
__When Reagan made this speech, the highest tax bracket was 50 percent which he cut by 25 percent. Capital gains tax at the time was at 20 percent and wanted to cut it as well to 17.5 percent.
__Reagan was not gunning for the rich but rather wanting to give all a tax break including the job creators by cutting their tax rate as well as the capital gains tax rate.
__Reagan allowed for the private sector to create 15 million new jobs, expand the S&P 500 worth by 124 percent, bring unemployment down from over 7 percent to around 5 percent,; bring inflation down from 12.5 percent to a little over 4 percent.
__Obama wants to raise capital gains tax, wants to raise the tax on 90 percent of the job creators, and wants you to believe his policies are like Reagan’s.
***My ears burn when I hear Obama lie straight faced to the American people and the spectre of the functionally illiterate buying his lies.

The hell of it is, he continues to lie about the Buffet rule, and absolutely NOBODY in the MSM is calling him out on it. He continually talks about Buffet’s “income tax”, that isn’t “income tax” at all. It’s capital gains. Capital gains on investments made with “after tax” income, which he more than likely STILL owes, since he’s in court fighting the IRS, for the BILLION he owes!

How dumb is Biden, after all his years in politics, including the last four year’s scrutiny of his income taxes to NOT increase his charitable giving?

    Answer – Apparently, Pretty Dumb…

He collected much more than that in rent payments from the Secret Service who rents an outbuilding on his residence to provide him with his free security. The Secret Service is paying him $2,200/month to rent a cottage on his property in Delaware:

Obama gave substantially only the last two years!

If Romney were to make his taxes public, It would show that he paid less in taxes because a lot of it was capital gains, but it would also show sustained consitant charitable giving, unlike Obama and Biden.

Something isn’t being considered here. If I meet certian goals at work, i was able to qualify for a gift card at a grocery store, but the problem with that is that it was considered income and had to be taxed. Well, why aren’t the Obamas being taxed on vacations in the tune of over 20 million dollars. Shouldn’t those things be taxed as income???

So is the Blaze advocating making the buffet rule apply to those that make over $500K? Or is this Becky’s ham fisted approach to smoke and mirrors. Knowing that CEO and other corporate executives are making 7 figures and more, only to have most of their income and salary in the form of stock options to avoid paying their fair share. Or they follow Romeny’s lead and have multiple off shore accounts. The GOP is running man for the highest office that is a tax cheat, that has funneled his income he receives destroying American factories and shipping American jobs overseas to off shore tax havens to avoid paying his fair share of the taxes. Too top it all off he is looking to give himself and his country club friends additional tax breaks while cutting benefits to the middle class.

CEO’s are paid in stock because the majority shareholders want the compensation for executives to be in line with what their ultimate objectives are – to increase the stock price and increase shareholder value.
That’s why people buy stock. To see it increase in value. Executives are put in place to make sure stock prices rise and in turn drive demand for their stock. If a CEO’s compensation is directly tied to the stock price – his actions and decisions will be guided along increasing the stock price for everyone.
They aren’t paid like that to avoid paying taxes – anymore than you contribute to your 401k so you can rip off the Government.

Ony the last two years has he done much and probably because he knew he could be going up against Romney.

I would love for Romney to release his taxes for a long time. It would show he made a lot of money but would also show he has donated a lot to charity! We do need discussions in this country to make the tax laws fairer (get rid of a lot of decuctions for the rich and flatten and lower the rate for them, have the lower income ones that don’t pay at all pay something so they have skin in the game).
