Prince of Monaco Gets Way-Cool Custom Lexus for His Wedding

A week from now Prince Albert II of Monaco will be getting married, and when he and the new princess leave for their honeymoon rattling cans and a “Just Married” signed will dress the back of a very special Lexus LS 600h L Landaulet. AKA The coolest car ever seen.
From autoblog:
“Yes, it’s being called a Landaulet – you know, like the Maybach – but instead of the rear seat passengers being completely alfresco, there’s a transparent bubble roof, in this case, one without any reinforcements or pillars. Lexus says that the roof was built by one of the world’s leading transparent component-production companies in France. The entire Landaulet conversion was handled by Belgian coachbuilder Carat Duchatelet in close collaboration with Lexus, and it took just over 2,000 hours to complete. Even the Midnight Blue livery paint is a special touch – it was applied manually using several coats of bespoke, water-based paint.”

Frankly, if you have to tint the windows after having bought it this way, you should’ve saved yourself the money to begin with. Myself, I‘d prefer a Dodge Ram Quad Cab with tinted windows dropped on 24’s even and twin SC Hemi under the hood.

Just lame jerk driving appliances. I hate toyota and wish them very bad luck. I think VW is a major under-achiever as well. Its sad to see the largest companies providing loser driving appliances and not real fun to drive cars. I think back to the GTO, where the cars were fun, looked good, and has huge power and very VERY affordable. All cars today are a rip off and are boring crap appliances.

The Maybach transparent roof turns dark black at the touch of a button. you’d only want it clear at night probably, to look at the stars and all.
