Private Abortion Clinics Given the OK to Advertise Services on British TV

(The Blaze/ AP) Britain’s broadcast advertising body has given the go-ahead for private abortion clinics to advertise their services on television.
The Broadcast Committee of Advertising Practice says there is no justification for barring private clinics that offer post-pregnancy services, including abortions, from advertising on television. Nonprofit post-pregnancy services are already allowed to advertise on television, and their for-profit counterparts are allowed to advertise in all other media.
Conservative lawmaker Nadine Dories said the move would desensitize people to the seriousness of getting an abortion.
But committee spokesman Matt Wilson said the new rules would not allow companies to say: “Come to us to get an abortion.“ He said clinics would have to promote an ”array of services.”

Mark Bhagwandin, from the pro-life charity Life, told The Telegraph: “This is an extremely disappointing decision.
“The abortion industry has a lot of money behind it and these companies will have the means to run prime time television and radio advertising campaigns.
“This will trivialise and commercialise the decision to terminate a baby, putting it on the same footing as choosing other products advertised on television.
“I have no doubt that we will see a rise in abortions as a result of this.”

Posted on January 22, 2012 at 11:51amEven though I am against Abortions I can see that this is not encouraging abortion. These clinics do not promote abortions. They do have counseling for people thinking they want an abortion and they do make sure they know ALL of their options and encourage other options first. Tax dollars are not used for abortions. Planned Parenthood provides free birth control, STD testing and treatment, Care for pregnant mothers that want their babies but cant afford services.They are not advertising abortion on this video. They are encouraging medical care for Pregnant mothers. You can’t legislate morals. We need a Grass roots effort to enourage life. Each church should advertise (if only on the sign in front of their church). It needs to say “Are you pregnant and need help, inquire within”. churches could then try to help Pregnant teens/mothers by teaching them the truth about abotions. Roe vs Wade has gone before the Supreme Court several times and I am afraid that it will not ever be reversed. Republican politicians know that this is not going to be reversed and they can’t change that. Advertising that they are Pro-Life will do nothing to actually change Roe-Vs-Wade but they advertsie their belief to gain votes. Mitt has flip-flopped on this issue but does it really matter when they can’t change anything anyway? Why vote for someone soley because they are Pro Life when they are unable to do anything to change the Supreme Court decision?

He gave up His life on the cross so that we could have life and have that life abundantly. Abortion is nothing but legalized murder. Now the works of the flesh are evident which are: adultry, fornication, uncleanness, licentiousness, idolatry, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outburst of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, MURDERS, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. Galatians 5:19-21. Women say that its their bodies and they have the right to do with it as they wish, maybe true, but the child they are carrying are NOT THEIRS and they dont have the right to take that life. If you dont want a baby, THEN STOP COMMITING ADULTRY!!

God is not pleased and neither are a lot of us that would have taken any child from any unfeeling person that wants to just get rid of a child to be like a piece of garbage. A lot of our precious children are being taught that immorality, hatefulness, destructive behavior, lies, etc. are ok. God help them. Pray for this World.
