Pro-Life Horror Movie Premieres in New Jersey

Could a horror movie change minds about abortion? Conservative filmmaker, and New Jersey state senate candidate, Kenneth Del Vecchio is hoping so.

On Saturday, Del Vecchio premiered a new “psychological thriller” about three women who are kidnapped from abortion clinics and held against their will for seven months until they give birth. It’s called “The Life Zone,” and according to a press release secured a cast with names you might know:

THE LIFE ZONE, written and produced by Del Vecchio, a veteran filmmaker of over 15 movies and best-selling author (novels and legal books), stars Academy Award and Emmy nominee Robert Loggia (Scarface, Independence Day, Big), Blanche Baker (Emmy winner; Sixteen Candles), Lindsey Haun (Broken Bridges, Shrooms, “True Blood”), Angela Little (American Pie Bandcamp, My Boss’s Daughter), Eric Etebari (The Lincoln Lawyer, An Affirmative Act, “Witchblade”), Thomas G. Waites (And Justice For All, The Thing), Nina Transfeld (The Great Fight) and Eileen Fulton (Emmy Lifetime Achievement Award; “As the World Turns”).

The movie‘s trailer gives a taste of the film’s plot:

As could be expected, the film is already getting panned by pro-abortion sites. TPM called the trailer “hokey” and decried the “dialogue gems” such as “You were all on the operating table, all ready to commit murder … Your babies will be given life just as God planned.”

The horror movie site Deadcentral.com went a little further:

Find yourself on the receiving end of an unwanted pregnancy? Thinking about having an abortion? How dare you assume that you can do with your body what you wish! Finally there’s a madman ready to stifle that ludicrous conclusion! A right-to-lifer with methods so misguided that the recently departed Jack Kevorkian would call him extreme!

Still, that didn’t stop Del Vecchio from going forward. The film debuted at the Hoboken International Film Festival, reportedly “one of the nation’s largest film festivals, which Del Vecchio founded and chairs.”

What do you think?

For those who don’t get how a horror film kidnapping girls could send a pro-life message, you are missing the point. The point is that it is wrong to kidnap these girls and hold them hostage. The kidnappers are only doing to them what they are doing to their babies – depriving them of their “life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness.” The girls are now in the position of the babies they want to kill – in a one-room jail with no power of their own and their life at stake.

I don’t think a movie about kidnapping women then forcing them to give birth is the way to go here. A woman can do as she wishes with her body as long as my tax dollars don’t go to paying for it. This of course is why women have abortions at PlannedParenthood we pay for it. They need to take responsiblity for their actions and kidnapping someone will not do that. After they give birth they can just neglect the child and then it dies then what good was it to stop the inevitable?

This movie will harm the pro-life movement.

Young girls should not be forced into thinking they are committing a grave sin if they go through with an abortion. It is in my opinion a sin, but we cannot throttle the minds and psyche of young people in the name of righteousness

Rather, exemplify the righteousness of bearing children.

Shall I pull up quotes from the bible where god orders the dashing of babies heads against rocks, the slaying of enemy wives even if they’re pregnant and the enslavement of leftover young virgins for ill-begotten use by “god’s children”?? Hmmm? You can’t pull “Well, it’s a matter of context”. NO SIR, IT ISN’T. Murder is murder as you seem to say. But god is pretty wishy washy about the whole thing.

The hypocrisy is astounding. The Left, aka Democrats, think it‘s a women’s right to do whatever she wants to her body. At the same time, a person who is suicidal doesn’t have the right to kiII him/herself. They instead get put in a hospital and therefore “owned” by the state for a period of time. Can’t have it both ways.

If abortion is murder, should we be putting people in prison for neglect if their child comes out with disabilities? If a parent has depression and takes some kind of drug to help that, and it affects the birth, should they be held resposible? Individual rights should come befor someone else’s religous beliefs.

Even animals and insects etc… have instinctual nature to protect their young even if it means sacrificing their own lives. So are you trying to say we are below even them? Let me ask you would it be right or wrong if I killed you for not agreeing with me? Well that in fact is what you are doing by sanctioning the deaths of human infants. How incredibly evil! OMG nobody should force you to do that. It’s unAmerican. (now in the case of “Rosemary’s Baby“ and ”The Omen” abortion might look pretty good but what are the chances of that?) Has a woman ever had a baby that she regreted and wish she would have aborted? Has a woman ever had an abortion that she later regreted?

That is the most hokiest movie trailer I have ever seen. So generic and mind leading. Women who get abortions aren’t bad people…. it’s not actually women who get abortions, but children. Under aged girls brought to the abortion clinics by the hand of their parents who would rather their children get a chance to go to college – instead of – having a child without a father (who probably committed rape or incest). I was gang raped and was lucky enough not to have gotten pregnant. I had plenty of time in my mind thinking, and I would have kept the baby even though I was homeless and just a teenager. The world sucks. Over 80% (to my personal experiences in life witnessing others) who have abortions are ALWAYS UNDER AGED. IT’S THE PARENTS FAULT – that is, LACK OF PARENTING.

The other 20% of women who get abortions, I would estimate, are older women who, yes, are selfish and only want their careers (possibly some date rapes with that damn date rape drug – their seems to always be so much more of that damn date rape drug than there is water in our country – the government does NOT CARE.). Other women – who I have personally spoken – in an abortion clinic – told me that their boyfriend, whom they were dependent on, only used this as a form of birth control – NOW THAT IS DISGUSTING. The woman was 6 MONTHS PREGNANT and getting an abortion. She was black and lived in a slum, too lazy to take FREE birth control that is offered from the FREE AIDS Clinics. I was there. Ic

Education is the key; – But without seeing the movie, (I viewed the trailer), I agree this whole concept only serves to make pro-life LOOK look Kooky!

There has got to be a better way to demonstrate that not only IS abortion murder, but it places an unfair burden of responsiblity upon a woman,(or girl), to bear the guilt of “choice”, alone, when the real CHOICE in most cases was made by two at conception. In this day and age, with the availability of DNA testing, and knowledge on the neonatal process, their is NO REASON to force women to bear alone the physical, spiritual and pschological toll of abortion.

Once we face the value of the life within, it should be a badge of honor for a woman to make a nine-month sacrifice. As for the fathers, they should be made to make a financial sacrifice, of (let’s say), half of the medical and adoption costs to help these welcomed children into the open arms of the childless, or other loving families.

If the medical costs are paid by the state, then the father should reimburse the state fully, and if the mother keeps the child as a single mother, they should receive assistance from the father entirely. How about using federal and state funds to track down those who should truly bear the resposiblity. It would be amazing how many fewer of these children would be kept in poverty, and how many would go to loving, capable homes.

Let’s face it. With our current science and knowledge, abortion is a cop-out, and is the truly KOOK

I agree with you on just about all you have said BUT how can we enforce a woman’s right to her own body yet let her off the hook for a pregnancy she had control over in the first place? How do they get to have it both ways? (Except in the case of rape which is a very low percentage of pregnancies).

Lets face it Men have no rights at all when it comes to a pregnancy If the Man wants the child and the woman doesn’t he has no right (even if he is married to the woman) to make her carry to term. I find holding any man liable even for support to be preposterous because he is not from the start on even level legal grounds. A man only has the legal right to pay for the child if the woman decides to carry to term. The cards are stacked in the woman’s favor if the father is a broke non worker she can weigh that into her decision for abortion. If on the other hand he has a great job and gainfully employed it may in fact be a windfall to the woman to carry to term.

Unless and until Men get on equal legal footing I say the word on the street should be “You get pregnant you pay and take care of it!” If a Woman indeed has the right over her own body solely then she HAS to take responsibility for the result of letting anyone inside it.You cant have your cake and eat it too.

I think accidental pregnancies could be prevented with proper education and also no special govt assistance. Don’t reward people for bad choices and they will make fewer of them

It’s useless to expect aaron to see the truth. Now these wacko liberal progressive commies are trying to play the race card on a women if they don’t want an abortion. All he is doing is showing the world how a “closet baby killer” reaches new and lower levels of ignorance and lack of any morals. They just want to have all the abortions perforned that they can so that they can feel morally superior because they don‘t have the guts to stand up for what’s right. All we can do is try to protect these precious babies from being murdered and all these baby killers will find out in the end what happens to them according to the Bible(and it won’t matter if they believe in God or not as they will find out).
As for these polls about these kind of “christians” or that kind has this percentage of abortions don‘t mean anything since if they kill their babies then they may consider themselves christians but I would be a safe bet that God doesn’t consider them one. If you’re a Black, Protestant making 30-60k/year, your baby is screwed.

Babies will cost you your career. Children cost $250,000 to raise to age 18.

Save, Plan and save your child’s life.

    Here comes the science….
Women identifying themselves as Protestants obtain 37.4% of all abortions in the U.S.; Catholic women account for 31.3%, Jewish women account for 1.3%, and women with no religious affiliation obtain 23.7% of all abortions. 18% of all abortions are performed on women who identify themselves as “Born-again/Evangelical”.
Women with family incomes less than $15,000 obtain 28.7% of all abortions; Women with family incomes between $15,000 and $29,999 obtain 19.5%; Women with family incomes between $30,000 and $59,999 obtain 38.0%; Women with family incomes over $60,000 obtain 13.8%.
While white women obtain 60% of all abortions, their abortion rate is well below that of minority women. Black women are more than 3 times as likely as white women to have an abortion, and Hispanic women are roughly 2 times as likely.

Obviously, the race that makes up the majority of the population will have a majority of the “legal” abortions, and who decides how devout a person is that calls themself catholic, baptist, evangelical? Facts, even if they are true, only help your argument is they have context and you EXPLAIN. You have done neither, choosing instead to just state the obvious. Regardless of where one stands on abortion, it is none of the Federal government’s business.
If you stab someone to death, it is murder. You are charged with a STATE offense of murder.
So, the Federal government does not need to be involved.
If it is not murder, then they don’t need to be involved because no crime is committed.
The ONLY thing in the Constitution that I know of is that we have, “certain unalienable rights, among these is life…” in which case we have a right to live. Which leads me to say that even the unborn have a constitutional right to LIVE!
We will only get this stuff fixed with a court of HONEST, non-political Supreme Court Justices. (scotus), or with a constitutional ammendment – which we definitely do not want until we get the people of this country educated and thinking rationally (the thought process of the right), not emotionally (the thought process of the left).

I hate horror movies myself, but I think this is great. We’re in a culture war in America. The arts is the means by which our societies values are expressed. And a “horror” movie in which evil will not be tolerated is about as good of a horror movie as can be made. Although I agree we can’t use vigilante violence, we should be a nation that doesn’t tolerate murder like we do. Interested to see more of what its about.

I don’t get it. If the horror of it is that the women get abducted by a pro-life doctor and are forced to have their children, how is that a pro-life message?
There are some genres that will just never make a good vehicle for certain messages.
Try showing a horror movie where the guilt of conscience for having an abortion drives a woman insane.
Try showing a love story about how a hardened woman learns the preciousness of children and learns that the reward of birth and motherhood far outweighs the rewards of her former life.
So much bad “art” on the Blaze today!

Abortion is murder, clear and purest of reasoning will make it clear to anyone who bothered to use a bit of sense and thought. What has occured to me, is that with it involving the taking of a life by the actions of another, then technically under the law, anyone displaying or paying for a pro abortion ad could also be charged with conspiracy to commit murder and solicitation to commit murder as well.

These movies often only end up preaching to the choir because the makers never bother to think about the differenvce between the truth as a Christian understands it and the truth that a non-Christian is able to understand.

Kidnapping women to MAKE them give birth? At first it sounded like a pro-CHOICE film. Who on earth is the intended audience for this film? Will women seeking abortions watch it, and after watching it will they think better of pro-life arguments?

The irony is that the State of California has already set the legal precedent that an unborn “fetus” is a human being w/ the same right to life as any other when they convicted Scott Peterson of a double homicide & subsequently sentenced him to death. The reality is that all know what abortion is – the pro-abortion folk simply sooth their consciences w/ “choice” & “it’s my body”. We (the US) have become a culture of death, and we are no different than the ancients that engaged in child sacrifices (we have just “sanitized” it). Without repentance, we will go the same way as those cultures.

Abortion is murder plain and simple. Libs like to save serial killers from execution and kill babies. Why? Because it is against God’s laws. It is simple. Every aspect of a liberal is against God. We are not to be ignorant of the devices of the enemy. Satan rebelled against God and his children are still doing the same.
Look at all these ‘so-called’ celebrity heroes that are breast cancer survivors. The chance of a woman getting breast cancer after an abortion only goes up 70 percent, that’s all. Why? Because it is God‘s judgment for sacrificing their children for the god’s they have made unto themselves.
It again is simple look at the rate of murders, divorce, drop outs, teen pregnancy, drop in grades and any type intelligence in this country since The Bible and prayer were removed from public schools.
What do we get? People like this Aaron that spew forth filth from the bowels of Satan and think that it is OK. He made my point before I even got on here.
If you cannot see that God is the answer than you are already swayed by the world and the this world belongs to Satan. We were given dominion and authority of this earth and all that is in it and it is time to take it back.

@Marylou7 & Dustyluv. You are exactly right. But I have to add to the mix, if our culture would get back to a moral lifestyle, there would be no need for abortions. Girls & women today have sex “whenever” apparently. What happened to save yourself for marriage? Ok, so it’s old fashioned thinking, but it is moral. I’m stunned how many girls give such a personal act without shame. Look at the morals we let our children see on TV, magazines. No wonder they think it’s normal.

Dath Bader Ginsburg, during a 2009 interview stated that Roe V Wade was not so much about giving a woman a “choice” but rather rid of “populations that we don’t want to have too many of.”

“Reproductive choice has to be straightened out. There will never be a woman of means without choice anymore. That just seems to me so obvious. The states that had changed their abortion laws before Roe [to make abortion legal] are not going to change back. So we have a policy that affects only poor women, and it can never be otherwise, and I don’t know why this hasn’t been said more often…Frankly I had thought that at the time Roe was decided, there was concern about population growth and particularly growth in populations that we don’t want to have too many of…”

In the USA, an estimated 1.3 million abortions are performed annually
      FACT CHECK -http://www.abortionno.org/Resources/fastfacts.html

During the 1940′s Germany had a SOCIALIST Party government that managed to “get rid of” 6 million undesirables. There were called Nazi’s.
In the span of four and a half years -The United States alone murders as many babies, as Nazi’s killed Jews (and other undesirables).

I taught him to ride a bike , math reading and other unforgetable things.

Abortion is not necessarily the issue. When life begins in the eyes of the courts is the issue. If life begins prior to a baby’s live birth there are all kinds of consequences that most people are not necessarily aware of. If the legal definition of life begins with conception then every miscarriage would have to be treated as a potential homicide. What did the mother do wrong, to cause the miscarriage? A debate on the legal definition of life needs to realistically address the consequences of choosing a definition that starts with conception.

For all my Christian brothers and sisters, do not expect the unsaved to act godly. What is surprising is the number of professing “saved” who act ungodly! Remember every child below the age of reason, including aborted babies, are guaranteed a place in Heaven. Abortion is not the problem it is a symptom. We need to change people’s hearts before we can change their actions and only the Holy Spirit can affect that change, we are just the conduit. So love everyone, as Jesus did, even the abortion doctors, and pray for their awakening and salvation. Our sins are no less egregious in God’s eyes than theirs and Jesus did not just die on the cross for you and me, but also for every other sinner no matter how terrible their sin.

This seems more like a pro-abortion movie, with the supposed “protagonists” sounding more like psychotic villains, and it could just as well have been made by Planned Parenthood to paint pro-life advocates in a bad light. Even the old man’s voice sounds like that of “The Jigsaw Killer” from the Saw movie series, and it‘s particularly ironic that the miscarriage of his wife’s baby at the hands of a drug addict that attacked her is what set “Jigsaw” off in the first place.

Abortion is homicide, but this stupid movie isn’t helpful.

52+ Million Babies Have Been Senselessly and Brutally Murdered Since Roe V Wade Passed In 1973!

A better film to watch would be “Silent Scream” authored by former pro-life advocate, Bernard Nathanson, MD. It is an actual abortion, showing the baby‘s reactions to his’ or her’s impending and eventual murder.

Research Norma McCorvey [aka Jane Roe of Roe V Wade]. She has done a complete turn-around and is a strong pro-life advocate. The same is true for Bernard Nathanson, MD. Dr Nathanson was a force behind getting roe v wade passed. Ms McCorvey and Dr Nathanson are NOW SAYING there is NEVER A REASON for an abortion.

All of you who are saying that an unborn baby is “a mass of tissue” or a “lump of cells,” check it out! Do the research! All the info is easily found on-line! I hope you have the courage to do so! You have opted to be blinded by deceit and delusion! How about opting for Truth instead?!

I could care less about the underlining message of pro-life, but that was the poorest excuse of a horror film I’ve ever seen. I’ve seen some cheesy horror flicks in my life, some that I was actually able to enjoy and other that I was blown away by how horrible they were. I didn’t think any other movie could have topped that feeling until I saw this preview….. I think based on the amount of movies I’ve seen in my life, which is extensive, and the quality of this preview, I am authorized to declare this the worst…. horror movie… ever made…..

If they would have used something more scifi’ish or not lay on the pro-life message so damn thick, it might have worked out and been a watchable movie. Make it subtle at first then reveal the pro-life meaning at the end, that would have made it a better movie while still keeping the pro-life message but they blew it.

I have a question for everyone here who is anti-abortion.

Do you, or the government, have the right to tell another free, American citizen what they can or can’t do to their body medically?

And there is where the paradox comes in. You wish to have Government intervene in this case for a choice she makes about her medical health, which is essentially what a pregnancy is. It’s a medical condition. If you want government the ability to intervene in this case, you must allow government to intervene in any medical case. You can’t give exceptions just because you feel strongly about abortions. Just don’t get an abortion yourself. If someone else makes that choice, that is their right as an American citizen. The fetus is not yet born and is not yet considered an American citizen nor protected by the Constitution. The mother, however, is.

Which will it be? Government allowed to intervene in medical matters or not? You can’t have your cake and eat it too. You give them this power, open up that crack for them to have this power, don‘t be surprised that they’re willing to grab more power when it comes to your health and your body (Obamacare)

After all, if you think the Government needs to protect the fetus, the Government also believes it must protect you from yourself as well.

I take the jailer as a metaphor for the consciousness that women contemplating abortion go through from a pro-life perspective. Of course, we know that, in reality, women contemplating abortion are only bombarded with the pro-abortion message once they set foot in an abrotion clinic.

Let me first say I disagree with the notion that Abortion is acceptable.

However, this entire post is stupid, simply because, people are free to make whatever stupid, garbage, nonsense movie they wish.

A good example, Crank, not only is it beyond dumb, but its not even logical.

SO….Let the free market dictate if this movie is good or not, if people do not see it, it makes no money, therefore they don’t make more movies like this.

Simple economics, however Beck apparently wants us to demonize these people for a fictitious
film? Please, freedom of expression goes across the board. If you do not like it, don’t go see it.

      Simple enough.

Its not kidnapping of the mother you dolt, its protective custody of the child, thats the whole point of the movie. They are using liberal mentality against them, mandated forced behavior.

I like that they did this movie, I think it will help get people to think about it and talk about it and thats always a good thing, because the more you talk about abortion the more clear it becomes that it is wrong.

“I have a question for everyone here who is anti-abortion.

Do you, or the government, have the right to tell another free, American citizen what they can or can’t do to their body medically?” First of all the woman isn’t doing anything to her body. She is murdering her unborn baby with totally different DNA than the womans. However, if my money is paying for this abortion damn skippy I have the right to say whether this woman can murder her own child or not. I should not be an accomplice to this crime via my wallet, unless I choose to do so.
There is no paradox as you claim, the government has no constitutional mandate to provide healthcare of any type. And as long as me the taxpayer is paying for any healthcare I should have a say in the receipients healthcare. You keep mentioning rights, but you fail to mention my rights as payer of the healthcare. What about my money staying in my paycheck and if the woman wants the abortion let her, but not use the government to force tyranny over me to pay for murder that I disagree with. Where is my freedom to not to pay for this abortion?

You do realize Planned Parenthood uses 0 federal dollars for abortion right? They also provide healthcare to our youth male and female alike which they may not otherwise get. You can be pro-birth all you want and still support Planned Parenthoods mission to provide non-abortion services. Here is a comprehensive list of service areas provided by PP.
1.ABORTION 2.BIRTH CONTROL 3.BODY IMAGE 4.MORNING-AFTER PILL (EMERGENCY CONTRACEPTION) 5.GENERAL HEALTH CARE 6.MEN’S SEXUAL HEALTH 7.PREGNANCY 8.RELATIONSHIPS 9.SEX & SEXUALITY 10.SEXUAL ORIENTATION & GENDER 11.SEXUALLY TRANSMITTED DISEASES (STDS) 12.WOMEN’S HEALTH. In many (rural) counties here in TX PP is the only place for the young or impoverished to turn in regards to sexual health issues. In TX a poor woman who cannot afford a regular doctor can go to PP and get the proof of pregnancy she needs to receive state medical care so the child runs a lower risk of birth defects. It’s okay to be pro-birth, it’s not okay to remove medical care from the young and the poor. Planned Parenthood is not all bad.

So what exactly is the difference between big government mandating insurance, clearly a communist socialistic plot (LOL) and big government deciding for a women what her reproductive choices should and should not be. Roe V. Wade is the best we can expect from government and is a reasonable framework. Privacy and individual liberty either extends to all or it doesn’t. People really need to work on their own lives and on their own contributions to society and stop trying to limit reasonable reproductive freedom for women. It is their body and their choice. Hiding behind religion to impose your beliefs and will on women is exactly that.

Aaron, Aaron, Aaron!!!!!! To call an unborn child a mass of tissue is disregarding life itself. That so-called mass of tissue already has a heart that is beating, ten fingers and toes. It is a child that deserves to live. And you believe Margaret Sanger, the founder of Planned Parenthood to be a hero, then you need to know that her reasons for Planned Parenthood was for the eradication of African Americans, Jewish American, and any others deemed undesirable. She was a member of the KKK and followed the philosophy Terry Blanshard, the Grand Cyclops.
