Pro-Palin Group to Air TV Ad Urging Her to ‘Reconsider’ a 2012 Bid

Pro Palin Group to Air TV Ad Urging Her to Reconsider a 2012 Bid

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin greeted visitors at the Iowa State Fair in August. The group Conservatives4Palin will run an ad next week urging her to reconsider her decision not to run for president. (AP)

Some supporters of former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin are so hopeful she’ll reconsider her decision not to run for president, they’re airing a TV ad in Iowa to try and get her to change her mind.

Conservatives4Palin will run the ad in the Sioux City, Iowa market and on YouTube beginning Nov. 30, the group announced in a blog post Friday.

“Your contributions have made it possible for us to run the Palin reconsider television ad next week in the Sioux City, Iowa market,” the post said.

With the Iowa caucuses little more than six weeks away, time is running out to convince the 2008 vice presidential nominee to get in the race, the group acknowledged.

“What we do next after the television ad goes up is a more difficult question,” it said. “If this ad is able to build some momentum for the Governor, the best way to keep that momentum going may be to commission a national GOP primary poll that includes the Governor as one of the options. We’ll see if it’s possible given our resources.”

“We’re open to other ideas but the greatest challenge may be that time is running short for her to reconsider,” it said.

Palin spent a lot of time in Iowa before ultimately announcing in October she wouldn’t be running: She made an appearance at the Iowa state fair during her “One Nation” bus tour and made a major speech to Tea Party supporters in Des Moines in September.

She also released a video in August titled “Iowa Passion” that led many to think a presidential announcement was imminent.

Come on people be realistic, as bad as she has gotten trashed by the media in the past, she can’t get one liberal vote (which is needed), therefore, she doesn’t stand a chance.

I understand that of 2008 we had one million..and I guess Obama must have imported a couple of million of them.because now we have 2 million. I am staying open about him. I spoke with a governor candidate last week who had an executive for the tea party tribune with him and I asked him to talk to Dr Paul to see where he actually stands on Israel. I am trying to encourage a more open dialogue…good to see you..

It‘s obvious the current crop doesn’t cut it.

Must we wait another election cycle before we realize the obvious? What good does a sub-par candidate do, even if elected?

I’d rather take my chances with Palin. Contrast will be so necessary to build a case. What kind of contrast does Romney or Gingrich or Perry bring? They‘re all career politicians that will do little to change the course we’re on.

The scary thing is I’m not overly bright, but I can see it coming from miles away.

I’m inclined to agree with you.

People are wanting a gentle easing back to the right, and in my opinion that simply foolishness. We know certainly that Gingrich and Romney are left wing plants. Perry is just fumbleheaded. Bachmann has the right idea’s on many issues but she lacks the conviction that would make her appear to be a cedar tree of leadership. Huntsman? I‘m not sure if he’s a communist, or just that Constitutionally corrupt. I suspect he’s a plant to lure so called Independents.

Paul sure seems to be the only person who is saying the right things concerning direction. I’ve reviewed his voting history while in Congress and he vores his convictions straight down the line. Even when he makes a decision that seems to not make sense, at least he’s been willing to state clearly what his position is and why he voted in a particular way. My boy Cain has faded because he allowed the distractions of lies to derail his direction and rather then rising above the fray, fell into it.

Paul is left standing. Unless Sarah enters.

Thoughts on Ron Paul. I like Ron Paul . I like the idea of going back to the Constitution and as for the drug thing..I hate the idea of legalizing drugs and prostitution.. That is legalizing evil…but I understand that the war on drugs is not working and law enforcement all the way up to the WH has gotten involved in the money aspect of it..So if it were legalized..then maybe it would take the air out of the tires of Hezbollah and the drug trade. Then in place of putting money into the prison system just for that..we could relocate it over to education and medical facilities to deal with it. THere is no basis for legalizing prostitution…but I understand he wants the states to take responsibility for it all. Now as for Pauls foreign policy..I like the idea of becoming an isolated nation..keeping to ourselves and shoring up our military..what I don’t like is pulling support from Israel…both verbally. financially and militarily. As for providing support for other nations.. I hope that we would always help our allies if needed…but no muslim countries..they are not nor will they ever be ours or anyones friends..I hate that we support them militarily., and financially..I also hate the fact that Ron Paul seem oblivious to the fact that muslims are such a danger and that they are a theocracy which is bent on taking over the world;..I do think that Paul could help us financially..and I love his kindness…but I fear his naievety.

Glenn has supported Ron Paul numerous times in the past – saying he’s the most honest man in politics because he has NEVER strayed from the Constitution. But for some reason Glenn now expects Dr. Paul to do just that when it comes to Israel. Why?

Dr. Paul supports Israel 100%! It’s the other GOPs that want to keep funding Palestine – the worst enemy of Israel. Glenn supports MB for the GOP candidate and she wants to continue giving money to both sides of illegal wars. Why? It doesn’t add up.

It was America’s intervention into Israel’s business that caused them to give back the land they fought for! Ron Paul does not support that type of ‘intervention’ because he knows doing so only makes matters worse — history has taught us that much – over and over again.

If you truly support Israel – don’t vote for anyone that supports funding their enemies. duh…

We have seen what 11-12 debates covering everything from whats on your pizza to retreds like Newt . You are the inspiration for the Teaparty movement you layed ground work and left with unfinished business.
Their will always be haters you know this, but their were things George Washinton didnt want to do but did on principal for the nation he loved. You have that fire in the belly you know you do and nobody can drive a media frenzy like you do . They tried to dig what they could last time … Epic Fail . If you go I vote for you and I agree polls should include your name in them for the candidate . Because as it stands now I will be writting your name in the ballot anyhow. Make my vote count and not be wasted .
**** is getting bad and will get worse thats when we need TRUE leadership the kind you have already shown that you have. NOW PUT YOUR GLOVES ON AND GET IN THE RING !! DING …. DING !!!
    GAME ON !!

No she’s NOT the “inspiration for the Tea Party.”
Ron Paul STARTED the modern day Tea Party in 2007 before it was co-opted by Beck, Fox, and Palin.

You don’t even know your recent history, much less distant history. How could you possibly know who is right for this country, if you’re making uninformed statements like that?

Pro-Palin, Thank you for your post. I read it with tears in my eyes because that’s how I feel about Sarah. She is the leadership the US needs. The current crop we have just doesn’t cut it for me. I held my nose and voted for McCain because of Sarah, I will not do that again. I know that probably gives my vote to Obama but what is the difference if we put a tepid Republican in that only continues what the Democrats started. The progressive Republicans don‘t want Sarah because she can’t be controlled by them. That is exactly why we should want her. She will not be beholden to the Party SHE will do what is best for OUR COUNTRY. PLEASE RUN, SARAH!!!!

Too bad none of the candidates are what we want. They’re all good … but none of them are great! Our country is so upside down, we need someone GREAT!

We also need to get rid of the corrupt members of Congress.

Isn’t it too late to register as a candidate in 2012? She’s better at promoting candidates than she would be as a candidate herself. I think she should not consider a run for president – any year.

I would like to see Gov. Palin run, but doubt she will She would have to give up too much, and for what? The way the media and Commie/Liberals, and moderates too, have treated her is criminal.

Run Sarah run, and tap Donald Trump, stir it up real good because I hear Hillary Clinton is being tapped for Obama’s VP if that happens (talking like a former H. Clinton supporter, Democrat) there is no chance, unless you jump in, for the Republicans. Why not? what do you have to lose? The media is running around scared and they have already veted you. Time to be the barracuda (sp) you were so well know in school as.

I like to look at trends, crazy as they seem, over the years. I think Hillary has big plans, and it may seem silly, but look at her new look. She’s figured out the boy-cut and masculine look of dem. women isn’t working, so she’s gone for the new face, lots of smiles, long hair long the winning repub. women. She and bill are always planning…..what else do they have to live for but power?

Have to agree with ya there…Hillary is up to something…she makes me sick to call myself a woman…the last time I seen her, she was at Bills B-Day party and Lady Gaga was singing to him, showing her butt to him and hillary was just laughing away..made me sick.

There is no way Sarah Palin will give up her cooshy, no-work job at Fox News to actually work for a living. However, if the Republicans don’t win the White House in 2012, look for her to be out on her fanny when her contract ends in 2013. Her tease act of “Will-she-or-won’t-she” was the main reason Ailes hired her in the first place. She gave the scope to Mark Levin because she’s mad at Karl Rove, because he thinks she’s an idiot and he talks trash about her on Fox. Ailes is reportedly furious with her for giving the scoop to another outlet. She never had a chance of winning a national election, she’s too ignorant and while she is very popular with a TeaCon audience, the rest of the U.S. doesn’t like her, or they don’t trust her to lead. When she has held office, she rewards her loyal cronies and she uses her powers to punish her enemies. And she bites the hand that feeds her. She’s a little Richard Nixon in Naughty Monkey pumps, without the education or intellect.

Virtually every line of your post is wrong or stated as if her position is bad. Her position at FOX is definitely hard work, what with constantly being dis-respected by MSM propagandists. If the Republicans lose in 2012, her views will be MORE sought out, not less. She was not hired because of her “will-she-or-won’t-she” decision, and you can’t believe that nothing else played into her “on-air” presence. She likes Mark Levin, as do many folks, while Rove feels a bit slimy, a back-room deal maker. Rove is negative on Palin because he is afraid of what she can do, like over-shadow him. Ailes argues with her decision, but so goes it in business. She honored previous commitments to friends, that is all. If she has no chance to win, then let her run! Don’t be afraid! Ignorant she’s not, she carries more clout than you, and I think most of the US trusts her. That’s the key issue… trust. And one of the hopeful qualities she will bring is the same as she demonstrated in Alaska, and that is she uses her powers to punish her enemies. She would have a large number of enemies to defund. She has not bitten the hand of anyone that supports her, and I’d take Richard Nixon over Obama, Carter, Clinton or Kerry any day of the year. And to tell you the truth, I’m tired of the Harvard, Yale, and Ivy League educated lawyer types that now run government. I say we could use a little Alaskan Bush logic and intellect right about now. I trust her.

I am older than dirt but you are dumber. Intellect? You cannot spell scoop or cushy although spelling is memory not intellect. Freshen us up on Richard Nixon won’t you? Sure would like to read an intellectual comparison and your memory of how that played out. Considering of course that Sarah Palin is the First conservative woman to have run in a national election and found many women who call themselves soccer moms who voted for her not John McCain. But Nixon-Palin comparison. Hmm. Are you saying she is a crook?

@ Devil Dogs, I don’t know, I never quit in the middle of my contract. I always finished what I was hired to do.

@Gary47, Um no, my points are not wrong. In the Gallup polls, Sarah may have shown high name recognition, but she isn’t respected or trusted, not even by Republicans. Yes, Rove is slimy, but unlike Sarah, he really does have some clout within the party. I’m not afraid to see her run. I’d love it, same goes with Bachmann. Either one of them could get up on the national stage and once they start talking, they demonstrate just how extremist and unhinged their politics are. She decided not to run because she knew she would lose.

@Texasgranny73, Okay, so you got me on scoop, thanks for pointing that out. However, the use of cooshy was a choice, say it out loud, it seemed a better fit than cushy. May I point out that you seem to have forgotten how to construct sentences? As to Nixon, you’re right, it was a poor comparison. Nixon was a much smarter man and he worked hard for everything he had. Harvard offered him full tuition, which he didn’t take because of a family illness. But he did accept the offer when Duke Law School offered it. I don’t really think of Nixon as a crook; he didn’t steal money, he just pulled dirty tricks. I think of him as a brilliant, sneaky, vindictive politician. His campaign was behind the Helen Gahagan Douglas “Whispering Campaign”, after all. Sarah Palin is just small time petty and vindictive, she’s a bit pat

IF she decides to run, I wonder if she’ll tell Roger Ailles first ? He was very upset that Sarah Palin went on another show to declare her intentions not to run. In her defence, which I usually don’t go, Ailles and FOX knew all along that she didn’t get along with, beatty eyed, Karl Rove. Fox decided to show their power and allegeance to Rove, Sarah decided to show her independence and her refusal to be “DISSED and EMBARRASEED” by FOX. I have to say that I agree with her “SNUB” back to FOX.

America is too far gone to ever again vote for anyone who is good and honorable. Americans have made their choice, they have chosen evil, just look at the disgrace in the White House today. Obama tells you all you need to know about America.

      CCS,

I concur with your sentiment “America is to far gone to vote for anyone good and honorable”. The reason is these values are all but dead in this country. Even good people struggle today trying to make good honest decisions. Their breed is being replaced by another kind the kind that votes on popularity, race division and class warfare. Somebody has always GOT TO BE A VICTIM in this country and this is what is used to divide us as a country. As long as we allow ourselves to be labeled victims then agree to act the part, we are all to blame. Satan has us only when we make a choice to be with him. This country again with childish mentality will put BHO back in the WH.
