Prof. Compares Alabama Immigration Law to Hitler’s ‘Anti-Jewish Actions,’ Calls Glenn Beck ‘Menace to American Freedom’

A progressive history professor at Florida Atlantic University (FAU) compared Alabama’s anti-illegal immigration law to “the anti-Jewish actions taken by Adolph Hitler and Nazi Germany,“ and called Glenn Beck a ”menace to American freedom“ and an ”extremist” on his personal blog, Campus Reform reports.
But a closer look at Ronald Feinman’s blog, titled “The Progressive Professor,” reveals the comments to be nothing out of the ordinary for the self-described “liberal and progressive,“ which really seems to have become synonymous with ”college professor.”
While he is certainly free to promote his views in his free time, several of his students have reportedly argued that Feinman pushes his beliefs in the classroom and is unwelcoming of dissenting opinions.
In a 2010 post titled ”Glenn Beck: The Most Dangerous Demagogue Since George Wallace,“ the professor slammed Beck for being ”out to enrich himself at the expense of the gullible Americans.”
From Feinman’s blog:
Face the facts: Glenn Beck is the new menace to American freedom and stability, and the fact that many advertisers have withdrawn from supporting his show on Fox News Channel is a good thing. This man has nothing positive or encouraging to say, and it is obvious he is just out to enrich himself at the expense of the gullible Americans who are rightfully concerned about their future, but are being told by this recovering alcoholic to have fear and hate for their government and many of their fellow citizens.
On June 29 of this year, Feinman wrote that the right-wing represents “modern day Fascism” and “progressive forces must resist and fight the right wing. According to the professor, Republicans represent “a threat to progress and tolerance in America, as the goal is to restore a past that was far from wonderful, but has been romanticized as glorious!”
Furthermore, following the Supreme Court ruling on the Affordable Care Act in June, Feinman posted that the “lunatic fringe,“ made up of ”extremists” like Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh, went “berserk” and acted disgracefully. He also said that the “lunatic Right” posed a physical threat to President Obama and wants to implement fascism.
Take our word for it, Feinman’s blog is one giant, progressive love-fest. He constantly praises Obama and Woodrow Wilson, while condemning conservatives like Beck, Limbaugh and GOP Presidential candidate Mitt Romney.
Several students have seemingly posted complaints about the professor on the well-known website RateMyProfessor.com. According to students, Feinman is intolerant of opposing viewpoints and is constantly praising Obama.
Campus Reform has more details:
[One] student [said] Feinman “spends a good deal of class time bashing Bush and praising Obama.”Another student wrote that Feinman is a “very opinionated liberal professor who likes to frequently twist and edit history and current events throughout his lectures.”
A spokesperson for the university declined to provide an official comment, but said over the phone that “the university does not get involved” with “what staff does outside of work.”
Professor Feinman has also authored numerous other blog posts on his website. Many entries include colorful and outspoken criticism of conservatives and the Republican Party.
Here‘s a list of excerpts from Feinman’s blog, collected by Campus Reform:
Republican Party: “The Republican Party has moved so far to the Right that the list of outrageous views and statements that can be compiled gets worse all of the time! There seems to be no limit to their nastiness, selfishness, mean spiritedness, and anarchistic statements against government.”
On Scalia: “But one must remember that Scalia is a showboat, a maniacal egotist who loves to hear the sound of his own voice, and get everyone’s attention.”
On Scalia, Thomas, and Alito: “It would seem appropriate to call them the ‘Three Horseman of the Apocalypse!’”
On Conservative Governors: These “despicable governors” have “no conscience, and do not give a damn about protecting the health of their own less fortunate citizens.”
On Sarah Palin: “This woman is a mental case who needs to be repudiated, and invited to shut her mouth once and for all, as a unnecessary pest and naysayer in her party, who is bound to do everything to destroy any Republican who runs for President, because of her maniacal belief that only she could govern, but unwilling to do the work required, and offer her candidacy to the people of her party.”
On Michelle Bachmann: Feinman says she “comes across as highly ignorant in so many ways, and with views on social and economic issues that are literally scary . . . Bachmann has a history of showing ignorance often, and her view of social and world issues is literally terrifying to thoughtful people.”
On Ron Paul: “That [his views on college loans] is only to be condemned as heartless, uncaring, narrow minded, and elitist . . . .”
On Bathrooms: Feinman says he is an “advocate” for gender-neutral restrooms “which now exist all over the nation in shopping malls and many hotels and other public restroom locations.”
On Romney: “Romney has no guts or courage, and would become a tool of the billionaires.”
On FOX News: “Fox News Channel is infamous for distorting news on a regular basis.”
“Fox News Polls, which tend to distort reality, but are believed by those who see that so called ‘news channel’ and the ‘poison and hate’ it disposes, as being absolute Gospel!”
More updates with information from the professor’s blog may be added.

Posted on July 8, 2012 at 10:33pmI don’t understand why the Blaze gives a totally unknown professor a forum on this blog, making remarks that absolutely no one cared about in 2010, and no one still cares about in 2012. His accusations are especially ridiculous. And, worse, they’re made with no substantiation. (He’s no different than a lot of professors that I was forced to listen to, when I attended college in the early ‘70’s. They weren’t relevant then, and aren’t relevant now.)

Believe it or not, Van Jones challenged Beck, and Beck did nothing but make excuses why he wouldn’t debate him. This was back in the summer of 2011, and since Beck declined the challenge, he has posted multiple anti-Van Jones stories on the Blaze, so he’s fine sniping at him, but chicken to debate him. Thanks for the links.
Did you read the comments? I did.
I liked the one that said:
What kind of debate would that be? Beck would say Jones is a communist – Jones would agree. Beck would say Jones wants to destroy America – Jones would agree.
Also the one that said: why did Jones wait 4 months and expect to be on one of Beck’s last shows on Fox. Glenn had more important things to do.
I would add – who cares about Van Jones? Beck is more powerful and successful than Jones could ever hope for.
It‘s not a smear if you use the truth to expose another’s agenda.

Posted on July 9, 2012 at 4:52pmI hear you, Brother Ed, but regardless of the comments, Jones challenged Beck and Beck made excuses vs. debating him. One would think that a man who espouses having the truth and the facts on his side could make mincemeat out of a silly liberal like Van Jones, but true to form, Beck will not debate an opposing view point.
As far as who thinks Van Jones is important? Ostensibly, Mr. Beck does since he runs a derogatory story about Jones nearly every week on the Blaze. Search “Van Jones” in the Blaze’s search function and count how many Van Jones stories have been posted since this challenge in 2011. I agree Beck doesn’t care about Jones, but instead, he throws out the tried and true “Van Jones as the bogeyman” red meat to his rabid fans and they eat it up. Van Jones is good for Beck’s bottom line, but that still doesn’t excuse Beck for not backing up his rhetoric face to face with the people he besmirches or disagrees with. Most other pundits will do this (O’Reilly, Matthews, Hannity, Stewart, M Kelly, etc) but not Mr. Beck. I guess that thrashing he received from the ladies on The View made him gun shy.

Posted on July 9, 2012 at 8:48amThe US dollar has lost 30% of it’s value in just 4 years while the US money supply has nearly tripled…..if it wasn’t the reserve currency of the world his predictions of hyper inflation and the complete collapse of the US dollar would happen much quicker. That being said two major developments that were claimed to be “extreme” by GB’s naysayers 2 years ago have already come true (unfortunately), the first is the FED monetizing the debt ( a claim that was met with derision and laughed off at that time by the left/MSM) and second, that the ME through the Arab Spring revolutions would see the rise of a new age of the Islamic Radicalism, another claim met with ridicule from the usual (clueless) suspects in DC and the MSM.
When one speaks the truth and those predictions (which are easy to predict becuase they are backed up by hyistorical facts) come true then maybe just maybe folks that continue to write GB off as a kook should actually listen to the man for themselves…they might just find themselves agreeing with what he is saying since what he is saying reflects what is actually going on. His opinion on the direction the facts and actions he observes often time rub folks the wrong way but and this is the important part, those facts and actions he is reporting about are all to real. Don’t shoot the messenger is the lesson that the left loves to claim as thier own …maybe they should follow their own advice for a chancge and listen, really listen.

Posted on July 8, 2012 at 11:28pmWhy is is some people want to “ex-terminated” others or do away with with other people ?
They could be Democrat, Republican, Conservative or Liberal Progressive Communist/Socialist. And they come up with these ideas that some how their life or lives would be better, if the people that disagreed with them where disposed of or jailed.
The best we can hope for is to have a country, where we can make our own choices in our lives, even if there bad choices.
Doing away with other people or jailing them will have no effect. In fact, them that you would do away with, would learn nothing.
Pray for Jett……………

Posted on July 8, 2012 at 9:49pmUniversity and college professors in America are 95 % liberal, childish jerks who talk and think about little more than how smart they are, waving their GRE scores about to each other in narcissistic pedantry while collecting amazing salaries, considering the little they contribute to society. Most of them have graduate assistants teaching the classes they are paid to teach, while they flitter about on“sabbaticals” to exotic parts of the world, accompanied by worshipping coeds.
This POS is just another one.

Posted on July 8, 2012 at 9:44pmTake solace in the inevitable end of these types. When the libs have weakened and destroyed what little is left of this country, when it is being torn apart from within, and when foreign invaders are closing in to try and finish us off from our skies and landing on our shores, dirt bags like this will be some of the first to get greased, either by Patriots, their own inability to survive reality, or by the invaders no longer finding these useful idiots useful. History always seems to be a lesson easily forgotten.

Posted on July 8, 2012 at 11:21pm@IMPrepared Actually Glenn Beck has many, many shows dedicated to the FED and bad/evil, corrupt banking.
Dating back to CNN, FOX, GBTV even the his radio show. He even proclaimed that the FED is one of if not the most dangerous entities that is harming America and our freedom.
So what is your point again? It seems your just a troll who is ignorant of facts. Do some research maybe actually watch or listen to his show before you attack.
You make you’re making yourself look foolish.

Posted on July 9, 2012 at 10:35amLACKOFREASON, So, in your mind a patriot would allow his troops to walk into known ambush, but not a known location? Yep, his choice in this matter might have been extreme, but after garnering the information. He himself reported his actions through his chain of command. He was offered nonjudicial punishment for his action and that $5,000 fine was a percentage of his pay for a designated period. He chose to retire when he did. He was not forced to resign or retire. You are again telling your usual pack of lies. Granted, you don’t like the guy, but at least do some real research and absorb all of it, instead of the crap you only want to believe.

Posted on July 9, 2012 at 9:09pmMaybe it is you who needs to do your research. West fired his pistol near Hamoodi’s head, after which Hamoodi provided West with names and information, which Hamoodi later described as “meaningless information induced by fear and pain.” At least one of these suspects was arrested as a result, but no plans for attacks or weapons were found. West said “At the time I had to base my decision on the intelligence I received. It’s possible that I was wrong about Mr. Hamoodi.”
There was no “bad guy” he was a police man and he was terrorized by the most dishonorable Mr West. It is no wonder he spoke in defense of the soldiers who are serving time for executing detainees.
