Prom Picture Pandemonium: Deck Collapses Underneath Students During Photo Op!

Deck Collapses for Prom Pictures in Fort Wayne, Indiana | Churubusco High SchoolLast week you may have seen video out of Wisconsin of a dock collapsing under a group of students taking pictures before their prom, leaving most of them very wet. And now it’s happened in Indiana, where an elevated deck gave way during a pre-prom photo op.

It happened in the town of Fort Wayne to students from Churubusco High School.

“We were waiting on our friend, she was running late, so we were waiting for the 13th person, and as we were all waiting up there, we saw her come, she went actually under the balcony first,” Tori Harris, one of the students, told WANE-TV. “And then as she was coming around the corner, we heard a really loud crack and then we basically all fell through.”

No one was hurt, save for a few scratches and a couple of bruises. But those involved now have quite the story to tell, especially since video of the incident has gone viral:

And just in case you didn’t see what happened last week in Oconomowoc, WI, here’s the report:

    First I would need to know if these students were mostly Liberal or mostly Conservative, and then I can decide whether I enjoyed watching them fall through the deck. That’s how it works, right?

      We know they are conservative because they were gracious. Also there are men taking women and women taking men to the prom….

      ….. not limp-wristed freaks and hags taking the same freaks to the prom and then suing when the deck collapsed.

      That answer your question, salad-tossing child molester?

      The camera man on the first video missed the best shot in history – never put the camera down when something unexpected happens – he did get a few nice shots of shoes!

      Curious Visitor, yes, that’s the way it works. And good question.

      Watching the video itself, you can’t tell whether these kids are conservative or liberal. The additional fact that these kids were high school kids also doesn’t give an a firm indication one way or another, as there are many conservative kids who graduate from high school, or at least are eligible to go to the senior prom.

      I am from Wisconsin and my younger brother is friends with the people who fell through the lake pier. Just to answer your question, these kids are probably mostly conservative because Oconomowoc, WI is located in the right leaning Waukesha County.

    Don’t recycle crap from Huffpo on this site please. Especially the videos that don’t allow you to shut them off. Love that. Make it like you step into a really crappy web site from 1995 that has some really bad tinny music that you can’t shut off. I also don’t think you should be giving Huffpo free hits by rebroadcasting their crap.

      @GETTIN

      I don’t really have a problem with the person taking a bad video. She obviously had something more important on her mind than making sure she was getting good video. It just shouldn’t be linked to in the story, because it doesn’t actually show anything.

      Most normal people with any degree of compassion will stop recording or put their camera down when people are injured so they may attend to them. That’s how it ought to be. Unfortunately most people with fancy phones dont do that.

    Saturday was prom night for a special beauty in our family, and I cringed when I saw her group’s photo on a bridge. All went well, and it was a beautiful setting, but a collapse could have put a damper on the evening. I’m glad all these young people were uninjured!
