Protesters Claim Police Used ‘Tear Gas & Rubber Bullets’ to Raid & Disband Occupy Oakland

The situation at Occupy Oakland intensified this morning, then came to a close, with police officers entering Frank Ogawa Plaza and Snow Park in a successful effort to remove protesters.
Around 4:30 a.m., cops — wearing riot gear and with shotguns — arrived at the scene and announced, via a loudspeaker, that the protesters needed to vacate. The penalty for refusing to leave? Arrest. Of course, there was a mixed reaction, as some people left willingly, while others resisted.
MercuryNews.com reports:
Early reports from police say the raids went smoothly, with all protesters cleared out of the downtown Frank H. Ogawa Plaza in less than 30 minutes.
After the raids concluded, Mayor Jean Quan said the plaza will remain open as a free speech gathering place “for peaceful protest” during park hours, from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
While “peaceful” by some accounts, the scene was also chaotic and confusing. Cops claim that the protesters set off tear gas, while the protesters claim that the police were responsible for this action. Below, see a picture of smoke at the scene:

One officer allegedly claims that protesters threw objects — bottles, skillets, kitchen utensils and even rocks — at the cops. The cop also said that the protesters “threw plates at us like Frisbees.” CBS News has more:
Additionally, Occupiers were said to have chanted, ”Police go home, cops go home,” with some even saying, “Police are the biggest gang in America.” Here’s how the Occupy Oakland Twitter feed characterized the police action earlier this morning:
While Quan says that many Oaklanders support the Occupy movement, there have been concerns over safety and sanitary conditions. In a written statement, Quan said:
“We want to thank the police, fire, public works and other employees who worked over the last week to peacefully close the encampment. We also thank the majority of the protesters who peacefully complied with city officials.”
City workers plan to clean the park now that the Occupiers are gone, with police barricading the scene to prevent them from re-entering. KGO-TV has more:
While Occupy Oakland has temporarily come to an end — at least at its previous locations — KGO-TV is reporting that protesters are telling supporters to reconvene at the Oakland public library’s main branch around 4 p.m.

Whaaaaa is right!, poor lil commies. In this day and age and especially with this OWS fiasco cops know they are on cam. There is noway they will draw first blood and just fire rubber bullets, use tear gas flashbangs whatever. The only way these things get put into force is as a result of resistance. There is no doubt in my mind the Occupy_ drones were told repeatedly to get out their activities were detrimental to the city and in all likeliness ILLEGAL. Break the law and told to get out and then resist what do you think is going to happen!?
Occupy clowns are looking for a fight and you can be sure there will be countless cleverly edited videos pop up from this. They always seem to leave out the trigger moment, the initail event that causes things to get lifted to this level. Again cops KNOW they are being recorded with this grass doormat movement.

The OWS organziers want a confrontation, they‘re constantly calling for media attention everytime there’s an incident so that they can cry “police brutality” (similarly, they want the tea parties to attend as well)…so it’s not a stretch to believe that the protesters set off their own gas canisters to create an incident. In any case…they seem to be “wee wee’d up” for being told to obey the law and leave the park. Poor babies….I’m sure their Poli/Sci professors will console them with cute bedtime stories about the “dialectics of hegemony” and other therapeutic rage-based degrees in PC so that they can grow up and become good community organizers- in whatever lucrative field you can enter with that degree- and pay off those $100K student loans…cough..cough.

Just because he was working late and he was caught by a mob, of mostly dark-skinned, black people. They beat him to death because he was light-skinned and white. No sympathy for Oakland. They enforce socialism, are anti-American (because they enforce socialism) and aren’t smart enough to understand Capitalism (since the Law is their religion).
Until more conservatives and other freedom-loving Americans understand that the cops are not pro-American Freedom and are the chief lobbyists for the opposite (hence, promoting law enforcement profits via Laws and Regulations), America has not a chance of a prayer for reinstating its birthright.
Cops are not your friend. They are only a necessary evil. And they’re working more towards evil these days than necessity.
Remember just who will be eagerly enforcing all that socialism you claim to be against!

If you want true enforcers of socialism, you need look no further than the state and federal departments of education and union leadership (particularly of unions for public sector workers). Sometimes you can find them in the upper echelons of the FBI too.
I’m not saying all cops are sterling examples of capitalism and the American way, but grouping them all together would be wrong.
