NEW YORK (AP) — Sarah Palin’s publisher says it has settled its lawsuit against Gawker Media.
Alleging copyright infringement, HarperCollins sued Gawker last Friday for posting leaked images from Palin’s “America by Heart,” which went on sale Tuesday. Gawker pulled the images over the weekend after a federal judge granted HarperCollins an injunction pending a Nov. 30 hearing.
According to the publisher, which had sought financial damages, Gawker has agreed to keep the images off of its website. HarperCollins declined to give details of the settlement.
Gawker did not immediately respond to phone and e-mail requests for comment late Tuesday.

Posted on November 24, 2010 at 9:49pmHey guys, where is your story about how she spoke out about North Korea being our allies? I mean, if you thought that Obama making an off-hand joke about making a pit stop was page one news, surely her making such a HUGE error is too right? I mean, that is, unless you are just grossly biased and you are just going to ignore that, right? Right?

Posted on November 24, 2010 at 11:07amwell, neverending, maybe intellectual private property rights dont ‘rate’ with the sexy like other topics, but they are usually where the first abuses occur…its easier to confiscate a persons ideas than their car…we must stay vigilant on all fronts.

This whole thing was a ridiculous waste of time, the book was released yesterday anyway, just more BS for attention, as always when it comes to Saint Sarah.

Posted on November 24, 2010 at 10:16amIt took a federal judge to tell them that this was an illegal activity. What a shame.

Posted on November 24, 2010 at 11:05amThe person who leaked it broke the law, or at least violated a contract they had signed. A news site reporting on information they’re provided with is just doing what news outlets should do.
