‘Race Wars’ Part 1: The Shocking Data on Black-on-Black Crime

Black-on-black crime is a sensitive subject in this increasingly polarized nation. While covered in academia and occasionally addressed by talking heads on television, some believe it rarely, if ever, receives the type and depth of attention it deserves. Instead, critics argue that this national tragedy is usually swept under the rug by powerful interest groups and individuals more concerned with elevating their own racially-driven agendas than addressing the real issues at hand. The Trayvon Martin case is only the most recent example of this grim hypocrisy.
Indeed, statistics support a very different narrative than the one usually offered by “race hustlers,” as Pastor C.L. Bryant calls them, who routinely portray an America where members of the black community are selectively targeted and brutalized by white racists.
A 2007 special report released by the Bureau of Justice Statistics, reveals that approximately 8,000 — and, in certain years, as many as 9,000 African Americans are murdered annually in the United States. This chilling figure is accompanied by another equally sobering fact, that 93% of these murders are in fact perpetrated by other blacks. The analysis, supported by FBI records, finds that in 2005 alone, for example, African Americans accounted for 49% of all homicide victims in the US — again, almost exclusively at the hands of other African Americans.
To put these number in perspective, recall that over 6,400 U.S. service men and women have been killed in Iraq and Afghanistan combined over the course of a decade-long war fought in those nations. During the Vietnam War, which lasted nearly 13 years, some 58,000 Americans were killed — nearly 13 percent of whom were African American.

Extrapolating black-on-black crime data reveals that, by comparison, approximately 100,000 African Americans have been killed on our own streets at the hands of other African Americans in roughly the same stretches of time. It is difficult to find anyone who would white-wash these mind-numbing statistics.
Equally as startling, the same study reveals African Americans were victims of an estimated 805,000 nonfatal violent crimes in just one year alone.
What’s more, blacks comprise roughly 12.5 percent of the U.S. population.
While fatalities persist in every major metropolitan area across the nation, there are of course certain cities most impacted by violent crime. Take Cincinnati, for example, where, after the fatal shooting of a young black man by a white police officer in 2001, a wave of riots ensued. Since that time, Cincinnati has set the record for the number of murders carried out each year, with a persistent violent crime rate at a staggering 88 percent.
The now all-too-familiar statistics reveal that black males are killed far more often than any other demographic: “The vast majority of people being murdered are African American in the City of Cincinnati,” said Hamilton County Prosecutor, Joe Deters in an interview.
“The vast majority. Well outside the 40 percent of the population it should be. In 2009, the City of Cincinnati did not have a single white victim of a homicide. (That) tells me that we have a subset in the underclass of Cincinnati which is committing a lot of violent crime and they tend to be black. And the reality is, you almost always commit murder within your racial classifications. So when we’ve got a young black man up in the coroners office, it’s almost always a result of another young black man shooting him.”
That same year, 2009, no white men were killed in Cincinnati, but 44 black males and 11 females were the victims of homicide in the city.
Chicago
One city that has perennially come under fire for racially charged violence is Chicago. In just the span of three days alone — March 16th-19th of this year — 41 people, mostly African-American, were shot and killed in Chicago. Ten were killed in President Obama’s former neighborhood. Incredibly, these atrocities on our very own streets barely received a turn of the head by activists, nor did they receive any media coverage.
In response to President Obama’s decision to raise the profile of the Trayvon Martin case, T. Willard Fair, president of the Urban League of Greater Miami, recently told The Daily Caller that the “the outrage should be about us killing each other, about black-on-black crime.”
He asked rhetorically, “Wouldn’t you think to have 41 people shot [in Chicago] between Friday morning and Monday morning would be much more newsworthy and deserve much more outrage?”
More than 500 people under the age of 21 were killed in Chicago in 2008. This figure fell only slightly in 2009 and 2010 and, of course, does not represent the many others who have been shot or injured as a result of these attacks. Records reveal that nearly 80 percent of youth homicides occurred in 22 black or Latino communities on Chicago’s South and West sides.
In just the first three months of 2012, 109 people have already been murdered in the city of Chicago. So rampant are the killings in fact, that crime in the President’s adopted hometown was even the focus of an April 5th report featured on The O’Reilly Factor:
In the poignant words of one man interviewed for the segment, “We’ve got to stop referring to people as African-American, Hispanic-American.”
“These are American kids and they are being slaughtered by other American kids.”
An epidemic
According to recent studies, Illinois isn’t the only state in the Midwest to see a marked rise in the number of African-American homicide victims over the course of just the past few years. A study conducted by the Washington D.C. based Violence Policy Center revealed that for the third time in the past five years, Missouri is vying for Cincinnati’s role, leading the nation in black on black violent crime.
Perhaps surprisingly, Wisconsin, too, is ranked as one of the top ten states with the highest percentage of black murder victims. Spanning the rest of the country, the other nine states found to have the highest murder rates among African-Americans include Michigan, Pennsylvania, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Indiana, Tennessee, Missouri, California and Nevada.
Where is the outrage?
Recently, The Blaze featured a report on Rep. Corrine Brown, who, after professing in an interview to care about “all the children” who fall victim to murder, could not remember the name of a little girl from her district who was murdered and then dumped into a Georgia landfill. While Brown fumbled to find the words, she ultimately could not recall Somer Thompson’s name. She did, however, have much to say about racial profiling and how Trayvon Martin was selectively targeted for his race. For some reason, Brown and others who have followed suit in this case have failed to address or acknowledge the epidemic of murders occurring within their very own communities.
But Brown is not alone. Not by any stretch. Which begs the questions: where is the outrage from prominent members of the African-American community? Where are the words of condemnation and sorrow from Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, or Rev. Al Sharpton, over the fact that members of their own communities are summarily executing each other? Critics believe that acknowledging the unfortunate, irrefutable statistical truth negates the left’s narrative about a black community selectively exploited and targeted by white racists. Some might also argue that fanning the flames of racial discontent, especially in an election year, serves a useful and powerful campaign purpose.
Thus far, hundreds of thousands of African Americans have been slaughtered at the hands of each other since the dawn of the Civil Rights movement. Is this the realization of Dr. King’s Community of Man?

The progressives have cultivated a culture of hate, fear, racism and disenfranchisement in the black community all in the name of an historically horrific political agenda known as Marxism. Futility and death are the result. What the liberals have done to the black culture is a crime against all humanity. They’ve striven to take down capitalism culturally and have used black lives as fodder to do so. Through the soft bigotry of low expectations, and the constant whispers of “unfairness” black children have been cynically used as tools of the left to take down the U.S. And who Marx called “the useful idiots”, academia, unions, environmentalists, etc. have unwittingly helped. I wish there was a way communicate to the black community how much conservatives value all people and their God-given right to pursue happiness, that the rights “individual” of any color, are the keys to this nations survival. But the waters have been so muddied and the lines of communication so irreversibly cut, that I fear peace is slipping away before our eyes. People of the black community: while the left is telling you that you have been kept down by the white man and that rage and despair is to be expected, conservative say – we believe in you and all individuals. Each person has the opportunity to enjoy the blessings of liberty if we can hang on to it. You’ll have to decide.

Rape is the most freightening statistic. Over the past 20 years, generally less than 50 black women per year are raped by white men. Per year, generally between ten thousand and thirty thousand white women are raped by black men. As the black folks say, the MSM keeps that on the down low. They would hate to do anything that violates reality and PC.

We al know who I’m referring to. Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton et al. “Rainbow Push” and the like. For this industry a thriving self destruction machine “IS” vital. But the occasional inclusion of ‘whitey’ as in the Trayvonn® case adds a level of racist hatred that propels the industry and violence forward.
Young black people are deep in denial. And black leadership seems to foment that denial. There are people out there who really care, though, too. The problem, though has gone on too long. It “IS” now self perpetuating. It’s out of control. And the black community doesn’t know how to handle it. I don’t blame them, I’ve got no idea how to stop it either. Except to say: just stop.
This crap comes from THINKING ERRORS. “I think I needs to smoke a blunt and sell some crack, so I can by some Nike Jordan Airs.“ ”I think I need to whack that kid on the corner and take what he has on him.“ ”I need to get this b_ _ _h pregnant and leave her with my baby.” Thinking stupid only increases more stupid thinking. Hanging out with hoodlums only creates more crime.
I know everyone knows this stuff. It’s just so frustrating and so disheartening. Life is so precious and so valuable, it hurts to see it in this kind of a condition. Which “IS” as much a mental disorder as it “IS” a tragedy.

The author leads with the observation that “some believe [black on black crime] rarely, if ever, receives the type and depth of attention it deserves,” but then doesn’t examine whether this belief is justified.
In my experience, black leaders are very concerned about black-on-black violence. You can walk into a majority black church on any given Sunday and likely hear a sermon addressing the issue. When violence occurs in the black community, black leaders quickly speak out.
The problem is, when black leaders speak about black-on-black crime, the only people listening are black. For most non-black people in America, black-on-black crime is Not My Problem. They don’t attend majority black churches. They don’t have the same news sources as black folks. And so they get a distorted view of how black people are dealing with and addressing this serious issue.
They only listen to black leaders when they’re speaking about white-on-black crime, because then it feels relevant to them. As a result, the leaders who speak often on that issue are elevated to national stature. Here on The Blaze, it’s the same list over and over again: Sharpton, Farrakhan, Jackson, Wright. As if a community of millions of people only had four leaders.
If you want to know how the black community is handling these issues, you have to be involved in the black community.

Report Post »Exactly and the answer is to alter, these “programs” to break up the government housing, perhaps as a habitat for humanity type program to allow people to build their own homes in areas with real jobs. Education that would lead to jobs or college. Expectations that the student will succeed and are accountable. With welfare applications parenting classes and expectation of 30 hours of work, clearing trash, shoveling snow, painting the senior center, school crossing guards, teachers aide work to supervise exercise for kids, library assistants at the local school and municipal library, the list could go on and on. The military is the great equalizer.

It is very easy. Black on Black Crime does not receive very much attention. We just have to turn on the TV, turn on the Radio, read the Newspaper on the internet & the MSM, Democrat Politicians, and leaders (read race-baiters like Al sharp Tongue, Clovis Farahkhan & Jesse Jackson) pay way more attention to any white on black crime than to black on black crime. They score many political points that way. The MSM is in on it. This was proven when the list server scandal was made public.
You go into a discussion forum and there will be handy-dandy liberal to cry “Southern Strategy” to declare the whole Republican party & any Republican voter racist. After all that there is all the motive you need to be suspicious, angry & worse of the dandy.
Sorry but the reality is much different than presented by the MSM. As a person made to a minority, I am very sensitive to white racism. After I was married, when we moved we researched many things. One of which was activity of known white racists groups. I don’t do that anymore. Now my main concern is black racist groups. I know damn well that the MSM will on;y grudgingly report on them & most politicians will ignore them.

I(we) were beat up a few times for having a black friend, out in the park, and even by my Dad when he saw us once…. I wish I knew the exact answer…. But I do know where it stems from, and it has nothing to do with ‘money’ or ‘race’ for that matter….. It is an inbred attitude, instilled from a young age by all races, unfortunately this will never change, only get worse…. Most people hoped that Obama’s slogan “Change” would make things better, but again unfortuantely, the people now realise that this is a ‘False Hope’…. People DO NOT CHANGE…. you are what you are…. for example, once an Alcoholic, always an alcoholic…. (( Sorry, my brain thinks faster than I can type))…. In Mexico, it’s Spanish against Spanish crime…. you see where I’m going with this?….. I could go on and on, but who’s listening anyway…. Cheers.

Of that total, approx.68%-72% are White, 12%-15% approx. Black. (These are ballpark figures) Still black on white HATE CRIMES are 10x greater than white on black HATE CRIMES. Also, there are many black on white crimes that may have been based on racism but feds didn’t pick it up.

So if it seems as if only white on black crime are the only hate crimes, that’s because there are. I’m convinced there are far more black racists than white ones. Recently a 13 year old white boy was attacked on his porch by a group of black youth who poured gasoline on the white boy & set him on fire as they told him ‘that’s what tou get for being white. Before that scores of blacks ran around a lot @ the fair, bypassing all blacks while assaulting whites, elderly , young, male, female. Not a hate crime.

The government paid single black women to stay home to take care of their children. The more children they had, the higher the payment. If there was a man living in the residence, the payment stopped. Thus, the exit of black fathers from the family. It goes for all races. When a boy reaches his early teens, he is bigger and stronger than his mother and he can and will do as he pleases, if she does not have a husband to protect her and measure out consequences. Daughters follow their mother. Married parents in the black community are a minority of the minority.
There was at one time a severe social consequence for producing bastard children. It needs to come back. When actions have severe adverse consequences they tend to be seldom done. The community needs to help the children and shame unmarried parents. If these black men titled reverend would preach against the unmarried parents and for personal responsibility of children and their civilization, socialization, and education we will get a positive change.
Christianity is the basis of western civilization, and respect for women. All the social dung thrown at us by the MSM undermines civil conduct, mutual respect, and the strong family. No government program can do what a strong cohesive loving family can to correct the social and economic ills society suffers in this day and age.

The federal, state and local governments MUST go hand in hand in this. 1) Clear a 5-10 block area in the inner city. 2) Offer hefty tax incentives to any company [ zero federal corporate tax for 10 years on that plant] willing to build a plant there. 3) Minimal local tax sewer, water and protection only. 4) Hire only people within a 30 block radius of the facility [ especially young unemployed people]. 5) Provide technical training for the youth so they can be hired.
If Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, Louis Ferrakhan and even Obama really cared about the future of the black American youth and their communities, instead of constantly race baiting and stirring up hatreds, they would be working to promote such a plan to allow the young to integrate into society and strengthen the family unit so children can grow up with both father and mother who will provide direction and disclipine.
When the young grow up into the “Plantation society” generated by our welfare system and they see no future for themselves except drug dealing and gangs in order to try to escape from the inner city, this is what you get. Unfortunately, Lyndon B. Johnson’s “Great Society” has exascerbated the problem in stead of fixing it.
We can repair the damage. It won‘t be easy and it won’t happen overnight but it can be fixed.

The 78 year old man beaten, Dennies riots, McDonalds riots, a balck girl in the class room. Violence is all they seem to know. That and how to cry racism. Blacks put themselves in the position they are in, the have the opportunities afforded other, they just chose to ignore them. The thinking they are owed something because of things that happened before they were born facilitates this behavior. Black leaders should be educating on personal growth, not racist points of few or the hatred of other races. Black males need to learn, but if they do not fear jail, how can they be made to learn? Blacks look at jail as a badge of honor, a college, there is no punishment for the them. so what do you do? I say lock the offenders up for life and start teaching the young there is a better life for them , through hard work and education.

Thank God some one finally said something that makes honest sense. It bothers me that many posts on this site seem pleased with the statistic that blacks kill each other more often. Somehow that is pleasing information?!? It’s as though there is a sentiment that it is “their problem”.

Some of the Pravda networks must have inadvertently touched on a part of truth in the last couple of weeks since we had the consigliere(Valerie Jarrett) give her speech about how much the One had done to tone down the violence in Chicago. Really??!!
