Rachel Maddow Mocks Beck & His Fans For ‘Courage’ Event in Israel

When Rachel Maddow heard that Glenn Beck was planning an event in Jerusalem, she sarcastically uttered “oh good” before launching into a short diatribe mocking the plan. And by mocking I mean insulting the intelligence and political views of Beck’s followers.

After warning that any “American insertion” into the volatile Middle East must be done with care, she played Beck’s announcement. Then the jabs started: “And don’t worry Glenn Beck Followers, there will be travel deals for you to get yourself physically to Israel, to make it convenient for you to bring your subtle, nuanced, political understanding to a part of the world that really needs you.”

Then she asks a couple questions:

“What could be worse than Fox News exporting its end of the world conspiracy theorist who sees Communists and George Soros as a Jewish puppet-master in everything? What American export could be less helpful to the Middle East than that?”

She eventually does answer the question with the founder of the private-contract military group Blackwater setting up a new fighting group in Abu Dhabi that doesn’t allow Muslims. But then again, the digs aren’t meant to be found in the answer, they’re couched in the questions. See for yourself below:

      Yep, nothing like a “Love flotilla” carrying rifles, rockets and ammunition to the poor starving residents of the Palestinian territories. The food cases are on deck for public viewing, the armaments are in the hold below decks.

      The good that this will do, is let Israel know that our government is not representing most of the citizens of this country at this time, that they are are friends, and our allies, that they are not alone…..And that we like the fact that Jerusalem is open to all religions while Israel is in control.

      Now why is it okay for you to be a hypocrite? WHy is it okay for anti-Israel flotillas to go over at such a sensitive time? And if you are not for it, why are you not as upset…..or more upset that they want to try to tempt Israel to attack them again?

If he holds it, and no real Israelis bother to come or the few who show up get bored and leave, it could wake some of his zombie army up to how little regard there is for his crackpot notions in the reality based community, and make them realize that only Americans are ignorant enough to swallow his snake oil. If members of the zombie army follow him to Israel to listen to him babble, it will be the first time some of them have bothered to get a passport and visit another country. Experiencing the rest of the world as a real place and talking to the citizens of other countries in person can only make you less stupid. Any stunt that he pulls that doesn’t have any real effects and that nobody but his dwindling core of supporters cares about brings us a little bit closer to the day when nobody even remembers who he was.

A few patriots, myself included, stood up for him, one poster even compared Glenn to Jim Jones.       Apparently the mayor of Jerusalem is okay with Beck”s planned rally but Maddow isn’t. You can think what you want of Glenn Beck but the one thing the media can‘t handle is that he’s innovative and always stepping out of the box.       It is sad that Maddow learned nothing from Lara Logan’s experience in Egypt, where she was actually shocked that a group of Muslim men would sexually abuse her in public. After all, didn’t they realize she was on their side? The fact that Maddow is gay would only make her assault more brutal. I pray that she never has to find out, but these people are so naive and ignorant about what they’re supporting. They’re a it like the guy in Alaska who thought he could be friends with the grizzly bears if he just showed them he meant them no harm.       Obama has made Mockery a standard operating procedure in this administration and in the Media.

      Followed closely by yelling Racism when you either don’t understand the argument or are losing the argument altogether.

      So to summarize; the goal is to get the media and the unions to:

      1) Mock your opponents
      2) Call your opponents Racists
      3) Scare the elderly and tell them that the Republicans are going to take away Medicare.
      4) Say you are going to allow drilling but put the EPA in charge of slowplaying any activity

      Which is a change from the previous playbook of:
      1) Blame Bush
      2) Whine about how bad it was when they came into office
      3) Scare the elderly
      4) Put moratorium on drilling and kill jobs.
      5) Kill other private sector jobs and denounce companies as greedy.
      6) Tout government jobs as “helping Americans” rather than being a burden on the taxpayer.

      I watched her show for five minutes once, but most of what I know about her I’ve read in the news. I got a good enough idea of what she‘s all about and I’m not interested in anything she has to say, quite frankly. She’s not logical on many assertions she makes, while others are way beyond bizarre.

      I never read this article either, but I wanted to contribute my two cents on why I believe she’s worthless, hoping everybody with at least half a brain will no longer watch oddballs, misfits and kooks like her either.
