Radical Bill Ayers Speaks to Occupy Chicago Protesters About Revolution & the Tea Party

Bill Ayers Speaks to Occupy Chicago ProtestersFormer terrorist-turned-university professor Bill Ayers (you may remember him from his ongoing presence in 2008 presidential campaign theoretic), made an appearance last week at Occupy Chicago.

The former radical, a member of the infamous and violent Weather Underground, discussed his experience with “revolutions,” gave advice about how to handle the Tea Party and took a solid jab at President Barack Obama — a man many believe he was once friends with.

Considering the Occupy movement’s ongoing calls for “revolution” and a major push for a fundamentally changed system, it’s no wonder Ayers was brought in to address the Chicago protesters. Among their many questions, his audience wondered how they should handle the media’s continued comparison between Occupy Wall Street and the Tea Party.

“A big bright line running through the Tea Party movement is Jingoism, Nativism, racism,” he told the protesters. “A big bright line is funding from the Koch brothers.” Of course, Ayers didn’t mention anything about the large-scale progressive groups that are assisting with Occupy Wall Street and its sister protests.

While he characterized the conservative movement in these terms, he also said it‘s important to remember that those who associate with the Tea Party aren’t the Occupiers’ enemies. ”Even when they’re huffed up with false stupidity and manipulated by all kinds of forces,” he reiterated.

Rather than violence — a tactic his Weather Underground was never afraid to employ — Ayers directed the students to rely on their natural “tools”:

“I think you should use your brilliance, your humor, your wisdom, your body to dramatize the violence that exists. But we do not live in a neutral — not when there’s a trillion dollar military budget — the biggest in the world, not when they’re recruiting kids to be in the service, not when every athletic event begins with guns and marching…that‘s a violent culture and that’s where we live…”

And, very oddly, he was sure to slip in a dig at Obama. ”Somebody like Barack Obama who drone strikes American citizens is saying ‘I want you all to be non-violent.’ Well, I want you to be non-violent,” he quipped.

    Aw, Billy! You know, you haven’t changed a bit? In the sixties, while you and your other parent-subsidized friends were building bombs, smoking dope, screwing everything that breathed and, generally, hating this nationand everyone in it, I was working my way through college, volunteering at many places and abiding by the law.
    Instead of going to prison, where you still belong, you found a group of Marxist professors who offered a ‘get a Doctorate in a Day’ program for anyone without an original thought, and ended up doing something you are completely unqualified for…teaching kids.
    You and your friends decided you could make the word better by spitting on returning GI’s…like all these kids just woke up one day and said, ‘Hey, Lets go to a foreign country and get shot at, get eaten by bugs and maybe get captured and tortured…Wanna?’
    Yes, Billy, there are hundreds of millions of us out here that wished your parents had loved you…just a little. I‘m sorry for your pathetic unbringing and I’m sorry you didn’t have anyone in your life who cared enough to teach you how to smile or how to love or how to think for yourself. Your parents let your ‘professors’ raise you instead. No, BIlly, you haven’t changed a bit. You’re still the same sad, needy, angry little boy that never understood the good side of anything.

I too was a 60′s kid—but when I went through College, even though my parents paid the way……they loved me and made rules that I had to abide by in order to keep the tuition coming. I turned out to be the opposite to Billy baby, thanks to my wonderful parents. I have been a hard worker and lover of this country my whole life. You don’t have to join in with drums beating, chanting or repeating what people tell you to say when you go through college.—If you choose to think for yourself, you can be a normal person and not a ROBOT. I saw one on Fox and Friends this morning….a gal (loud and angry) who has turned into a Bill Ayers type–Robot—sad very sad. The young folks of today who do this protesting and spend all their time with this and not learning anything that will help them in the future job market will really hate themselves someday. They will be left with an empty shell of a body that only can protest the establishment, whatever it looks like in the future. They will not be able to acquire or hold a job. Did you see some of the aging 60′s people on the video and picture? They are excited about the OWS protesters-they looked pitiful –the kids of today doing this should look at them and see them as a mirror image of themselves, because that is your future kids if you don’t wake up!!! :(

    How strange, I’ve not received one cent from the Koch brothers (the Left seems obsessed with these people don’t the, I don’t even know if I know who they are honestly). The few people around these parts who organized tea party events were college students who, if I’m not mistaken, didn’t need major financing for their emails.

    As to racism…what a load of crap. They keep telling themselves this, over and over, like good little robots.       Why do they allow this type satanic person to teach our children? We’re so proud of our children who go off to college, and this is the type slime who corrupt our kids. If I had it to do over, I’d rather set kids up with a business college background in finance and bookkeeping, needed in what ever business they choose.. More businesses fail because they don’t understand finance and paying their bills on time, especially the gov’t.

      Even high schools have questionable teachers. The Unions have corrupted teachers whom many seem to be in it for pensions and no questions asked after they get tenure. Christian, charter and home school best to know what they’re learning. No more blind eyes to your children’s education.

      Most of the youth he is connecting with are more interested in getting stoned and playing XBox than revolution. Revolution takes commitment and focus and these kids have neither. There are already radicalized elements that will take advantage of the situation.
