Radical Islamic Group Opens Shariah Court in Belgium

A shariah court has been established in Antwerp, Belgium to handle marriage disputes and inheritance issues if requested by the parties involved in lieu of a civil court hearing.

The courted opened at the insistence of a radical Islamic group called “Sharia 4 Belgium,” according the Belgian news outlet Het Laatste Nieuws (HLN).

HLN news listed the following as the responsibilities of the Center for Islamic Services in Borgerhout:

“It handles all cases of divorces, annulling marriages, reconciliations or matrimonial disputes in accordance with the Shariah of Allah, and can deliver a certificate where necessary.”

Monica De Coninck, Alderman for Diversity in Antwerp, has said that in itself it’s a good thing that religious groups mediate their communities. The court cannot pass sentences, it merely acts as a “moderator” in the types of cases mentioned above (think “Judge Judy” in the United States, in which small claims court is replaced with binding arbitration).

De Coninck did concede, however, that it would have been better if this particular Shariah court weren’t championed by radical fundamentalists– in this case, with a history of calling for the Islamization of Europe and  support for the proclamation of Al Qaeda terrorist Anwar Awlaki.

In the past, Sharia 4 Belgium has promoted online Jihad videos and invited Belgians to convert to Islam lest they wait for the Islamic conquest and become forced to live out their lives as dhimmis (distantly second-class citizens).

Despite that ideological background, the group claim to be non-violent.

Belgian right-wing politician Vlaams Belang does not accept that this Shariah court is merely a benign mediator, and said recently that (translated from HLN):

“This court is a new step in the Islamization of Antwerp… you certainly can’t have a parallel system of Sharia courts developing besides the official judicial bodies, which judges based on principles which clash with the values of our democratic constitutional state.”

    Until you have been subjected to abuse by Muslims, you don’t really understand what is coming. I have been at their mercy before and mistreated by them. They are brutal and make fun of hurting infidels. I was neutral until I suffered from them. Now, I hate them. Believe me, you just don’t know what they are capable of so you should take this to heart. They will kill you and your family like you are rats. Like I said…………… I’ve been there.       I’ve been there as military and I had a chance to work with some folks who were Americans living and working in both Saudi and the UAE. This was back in 91 during Desert Storm. Many of them had been working there for several years….yea the money was good so they put up with it, but when they saw us there, boy were they so proud that we’d come to kick some Arab azzes. They told me how they were treated, like you said very second class and I felt it there as well. They see the world through the eyes of race unlike most Americans. If your a White person then your filth not fit to even look at or speak kindly to. Lucky for me I was obviously an American visiting with the military so they were careful with how far they would go, but I wonder how exactly my family would be treated if I were living next door to them everyday? Not well I am sure of it.

    Sounds like most on here don’t know that it IS here —- it’s just not reported — not even by Fox I’ve noticed. Check out Dearborn, MI and Detroit. They call Dearborn the Islamic capital of the U.S., Dearbornistan. And for good reason. Already having big problems and I’m sure will grow….,right now negates our “freedom of speech”.       Thank you for the link MOM–I have recently spent some time on the “Muslims Against Crusades” site which is under the Sharia4America banner. You have to thoroughly read the entire thing and their justifications or half-truths about their actions and what they believe allows them to do. The one sentence that struck me more than any other was that unlike Christians, the Koran does not guide them to love their enemy or turn the other cheek, they are required to fight the enemy in the name of Allah. So, personally, I don’t buy the peaceful Muslim mantra—especially when I read on about how they are NOT required to follow man-made laws in other countries and WILL NOT. No doubt, some Muslims would never commit these atrocities—but they call those Muslims out on this site. It is a veiled but definite threat to them saying that following the laws of man is against Allah. So while those “peaceful Muslims” may never engage in this, I have to wonder when they will give in…?? We have to stop this in its tracks. Can you see our nation operating with two sets of laws? They murder us, they walk free. We murder them, we spend the rest of our lives in prison. Never mind if it was self-defense, our moonbat progressives in their quest to rid the world of any “hate speech” will ensure that they succeed in what they have said they would all along….use OUR laws and our stupidity to overtake us. Wake up America.

    Not only that, but it sounds like they don’t even have any legal power:

    But “Oh God, the scary Muslims and their scary strange Muslimy-ways!” Quick Oklahoma you better ban that super dangerous practice they have of arbitrating their marriages and inheritance within the religious community!       The last time I was in Brussels, I couldn‘t find a place to eat that wasn’t stifling from pot smoke. I saw a guy catch a pickpocket and the cops made him let the prep go. When he complained about the pickpocket the cops told him if he didn’t shut up they would arrest him for creating a public nuisance.     Looks like we’re gonna have to bail out Europe again. Every one of these damned fools needs to be taken behind the woodshed and smacked around.

    We don’t mind bailing your narrows asses out, but when you don’t have the common courtesy of learning history, that’s what makes it nearly unforgivable.

    For some reason the masses don’t want to realize they are trying to and want to do this all over the world. What do these people really believe will be the next step once this has been enacted and people get used to it, then they’ll take it the next step. It‘s gonna be much harder to get rid of it after it’s grown roots. I really hope the US is smarter then Belgium in this regard, not holding my breath though.

    The foot is in the door. Full control over most of Europe is the goal. When will the Muslim population be so large in Belgium, France, or OK that they gain a majority in Parliament? 20 years? 10 years? The blink of an eye!
