Radical Muslim Cleric Caught Trying to Sneak Into U.S. via Southern Border

A routine border check yielded a big surprise earlier this month when U.S. border guards searched a Mexican BMW and found a hardline Muslim cleric hidden in the trunk.

Said Jaziri, a Tunisian cleric banned from entering France and Canada, gained international notoriety after calling for the death of Kurt Westergaard, a Danish cartoonist who drew images of the prophet Mohammed.  He is also known for having lied about his criminal past while seeking amnesty and being forcefully deported from Canada in 2007.

While in Montreal, Jaziri served as head of the Al-Qods mosque and called for Shariah Law for Canada.  Upon deportation, Jaziri left behind a pregnant wife who protested his punishment.

Jaziri and his driver were both arrested as they tried to sneak him across the border into southern California.

Jaziri is currently being held as a material witness in relation to criminal immigrant smuggling charges facing his driver. According to the UK’s Daily Mail, the Muslim cleric allegedly paid a Tijunana-based smuggling cartel $5,000 to get him across the U.S.-Mexico border and to a “safe place” in the United States.

According to the court documents, a Mexican guide led Jaziri and a Mexican immigrant over the border fence near Tecate.

They then trekked across the rugged terrain under cover of darkness to a spot popular for drivers who pick up immigrants for smuggling runs into San Diego.

He allegedly told officials he had flown from Africa to Europe, then to Central America and Chetumal, Mexico, on the Mexico-Belize border, where he took a bus to Tijuana.

News of Jaziri’s detention comes just one day after border officials reported finding a book celebrating suicide bombers in the Arizona desert, just north of the U.S.- Mexican border.

    We need to bring all our people home from Iraq and Afghanistan and place them on the boarders of the US. Next we need to pass an amendment that says someone here illegally wanting to gain US citizenship between age 18 and 30 can do so by joining our military and then we send them all down into Mexico to clean out all the druggies and Middle- Easterners that are working their way north.

    If our own government won’t concede that the muslim religion is a threat by now….will they ever? We talk just to hear ourselves talk. We all need to just hide away until the right time comes. No one is listening now. I was at Glenn’s 8/28 and what a beautiful experience. The reality is, no one gives a damn. Given the choice of an all-expense paid trip there, and meeting a football hero, most would take the meeting a football hero. Most of my family and friends are OK with going through life with their heads up their as@es. I am not. Over several years I have found that you can’t tell some people anything because they know it all. So, i have a new approach. I just tell them to stand by their man (Barry) and stick to their code. Maybe the day will come when they wake up. Maybe it will not. But I, for one, am done talking.

    You tell ME what this says. I ‘m pretty confident in telling you that this was LUCK catching this guy. Surely he’s crying into his prayer rug even as you read this that with well over a thousand miles of unguarded border miles that he got caught. Do you suppose he‘s thanking Allah for the Fifth Column that’s already here? I think that’s a given.

    IDEA!!! All my American brothers & sisters, grab your families, grab your firearms, set up a perimeter, hold the line. Then, if we are attacked from with in all we’ll have to do is turn around, and wa-la, got em surrounded. Then the illegals can once again do the job Americans “won’t do”, and carry their cold, dead, radical asses back across the border.

    Since the policy now is to release illegals when they are picked up. Tell them they have a hearing in 6 months and they must promise to show up for it, I’d say the guy will be out and about the Land of The Free shortly.

      Actually, If I read the story correctly. It says he’s going to testify against the smuggler. Do you wonder if he’s going to be given immunity for his testimony? Probably! After the trial he can carry his merry way to the nearest sanctuary city!!!

    Like I said before, build Army and Marine bases along the border every so many miles apart. In between those you create live fire and missle ranges. Target ranges for fighter practice and bombing ranges.

    and the “martyr book” found in the desert means nothing, huh? we need to put military training bases along the southern border, where soldiers could practice desert warfare, security procedures, tunnel detection, and etc.! after all, why on earth should we have signs up, down there, telling Americans that we are not safe in our own country! this situation has gone far past the usual problems of keeping illegal aliens, looking to work, or to draw “benefits,” from crossing into America!

    America. There are 35- Muslim camps in the USA now.
    Some camps are 3-acres,other camps are 300-acres.They are all gated with armed guards.
    The FBI know all about these camps,but will do nothing about them because of their religion.
    Obama is still out to bring in more of his chosen people,this is his agenda.

      The question was posed to an American citizen who worked in Saudi Arabia for over 20 years. His reply:
      Theologically – no. Because his allegiance is to Allah, the moon god of Arabia.

      Philosophically – no. Because Islam, Muhammad, and the Quran do not allow freedom of religion and expression. Democracy and Islam cannot co-exist. Every Muslim government is either dictatorial or autocratic.
      Spiritually – no. Because we declare “one nation under God.”

    Maybe the administration will start taking this problem seriously after catching this guy, but then again, most likely they won’t.

    At least 5 years ago, I started reading about terrorists training as well as learning to speak fluent Spanish in Central America, then crossing the border from Mexico into the US. I’m no Barry lover by a long shot, but you can’t blame only his regime. If we really knew how many of those pieces of filth are living here, we would be sleeping in shifts.

    I wonder how many other radicals, muslim or otherwise, are in the US that were not caught. Its time you damn politicians start dealing with the reality that we have to do something about the southern border. Stop being cowards. People are coming across that want to inflict harm on America.     Janet Napolitano gets her orders from the Obama administration. That’s how it works. He doesn’t want the border secure, so he can get their votes in 2012. Why do you think illegals get so many rights? Sometimes more than actual US citizens. Disgusting. Every time a Republican wants to secure the border and address the anchor baby situation, they are demonized. It is all by design.

      The Guantanamo Bay prison in Cuba has held terrorist under guard pending their trials since 2001 and just last week the first trial and conviction took place. Why so long and so few results ? The present and former AG’s ineptness comes to mind. All the terrorist need to be tried asap and made exemples for the other terrorists. I’m glad that the muslim terrorist got caught trying to sneak into the USA from Mexico, but I‘m also wondering how many others like him weren’t caught.

      Also, I already grew up and lived most of my life in a free and honorable country…..my children 12&14 …I’m not so sure.

    We need to elect a president who’s not afraid to take care of business behind the scenes. Hire private contractors to do the dirty work that makes Muslim terrorists disappear. They learn a little Spanish from cartel gangs in Mexico, prior to attempting to cross into the US. Bring the troops back from Afganistan and raid all of the Mosques for illegals, arms, ammo, bombs and plans to implement their Jihad in America. These people have vowed to murder your friends, families and fellow Americans. It is taught by Imams and written in their Qu’ran. Infidels have been on their hit list since the seventh century.

      Glad to hear your thoughts. I have been saying the same. How convenient for potus and Big Sis to leave the door wide open for terrorists while TSA feels up granny at the airport. They know exactly what they are doing. According to reports I can find, the number of mosques in the U.S. has increased by 50% in the past 10 years…but the actual number varies from report to report.
      We have long been saying that TERRORIST are crossing our southern border. Many from South America have been caught trying to sneak in. But I agree, they are probably here by the thousands.And our government will do nothing to protect our country or the citizens.

      Thanks to Janet Napolitano for sealing the border so we do not have to worry about who is coming across. Funny, Mexico does not let people cross the border in the other direction without permission. Of course, no right minded American wants to sneak into Mexico!

      We “caught” this one. How many thousands, possibly tens of thousands went unnoticed? Terrorists ARE here, and in growing numbers. All I can say is, until the terrorists rise up, SUPPORT THE BORDER STATES, north and south, and all our waterways, with your donations; aid; and any other assistance you are willing to provide. They need all the help they can get. Afterall, you don’t have to live in a border state to be in danger. Be prepared. Be vigilant. Be safe.

      Our government is allowing a foreign invasion of our country and is doing nothing to protect us! They are intentionally doing this to overwhelm our current system financially and culturally to cause more division in our country. The mass numbers of illegals, foreign nationals, and Muslims have no loyalty to our country and only seek to suck us dry until we are destroyed. They are allowing illegals to continue to pour across our Southern, Northern borders and shipping ports. They are allowing record numbers of foreign nationals into our school systems displacing our own students at the same time. They are not enforcing visa violations, they are handing out record numbers of visas and green cards. Millions of anchor babies and Birth Tourism! They are mass migrating Muslims to this country in which they have no loyalty to anything except Islam! They are actively trying to sell our countries land, businesses, and resources to countries like China.

      It seems that the “iman” had already made it across the border, so why was he in the trunk? I read another account of this incident where someone saw him get into the vehicle’s trunk instead of the passenger seat. Nothing like setting a little red flag reading “Please arrest me, I’m illegal!!!”

      Interesting that he’s not welcomed in France or Canada, either.

      I hope the next president doesnt try suing a state for trying to secure its own border. . . we need all the border states to put their national guard on border duty i think having soldiers on the job would significantly disrupt the flow of illegal traffic through the border.
