If I remember what I had read, in this election, there’s more black Americans running for office since the days of Reconstruction. I’ve had the opportunity to hear many of them speak. These are outstanding candidates.

Liberals better stop demeaning black conservatives and they better get USED TO them, since their numbers are growing daily! Calling them Uncle Tom and traitor isn’t really working. The liberal Democratic stereotype of being ‘government dependent” cast on people of color, is itself demeaning. Conservatives and Republicans WELCOME ALL like minded individuals without judgment.

To Middleclass: You are right the GOP does not support the African-Americans. The GOP does however support Americans regardless of color. When are we going to learn that color is no longer a factor in politics. The “Left” has the black community begging at the feet of the government. So who is the Uncle Tom? The GOP blacks who have taken charge of their own destiny or the ones begging for the Democrat Party to pass out the cheese? Think about it!

All the blacks I know are democrats, however they are social conservatives. Many go to church, raise their kids on christian values, work very hard to give their kids the best life possible. However they all say that republicans do not take into account their interest when they talk policies. The few that I know that are well versed in politics have extensive knowledge of how many of the policies proposed by the GOP will actually hurt their demographic. That made me think, why should blacks vote for the GOP if their policies are not seen as beneficial to the black community?

“Red and yellow, black and white”, and brown and all colors in between….we are AMERICANS first and foremost. Colors only enhance the pattern and design. How dull would fall be without all the colors in the leaves. How horrible would winter be without the contrast of white, grey, black, blues , occasional sunshine (or lots of it, depending on where you live). How beautiful is spring with the various hues of green and multiple colors of flowers, and summer with all its beauty. AMERICANS. Period. Colors, yes! It’s ok to be who we are. The key is WHOSE are we? I vote that we are GOD’s creation. HE loves all our colors. Check out nature, HIS creation by the way, not the left’s.

Ya know… I don’t know how that happened… somewhere along the line, the Democrats, along with the help of their friends in the press, somehow managed to transfer the entire early history of their party onto the Republicans!!!

The republican Party made freeing the slaves one of their main party platforms… it was Lincoln, a Republican whom did it… all the first Black Congressman and Senators where registered Republicans… It was the Democrats that where responsible for passing the despicible “Jim Crow” laws, as well as the just as despicible “poll tax” designed to keep poor blacks from voting… The Ku Klux Klan was a radical off-shoot of the Democrat Party… When to Civil Rights Act came to a vote, only 63% of the Democrats below the Mason-Dixon line voted for it, while well over 80% of Republicans in the same area voted for it… Despite all the allegations, only one party has had a Senator that actually WAS a card-carrying member of the K.K.K. (and a :recruitment Officer in that organization as well) and it sure as hell wasn’t the Republicans!!! How in the hell did WE get branded as the party of racists when all the evidnce points back at those making the allegations in the first place???

From its founding in 1854 as the anti-slavery party until today, the Republican Party has championed freedom and civil rights for blacks. And as one pundit so succinctly stated, the Democrat Party is as it always has been, the party of the four S’s: slavery, secession, segregation and now socialism.
It was the Democrats who fought to keep blacks in slavery and passed the discriminatory Black Codes and Jim Crow laws. The Democrats started the Ku Klux Klan to lynch and terrorize blacks. The Democrats fought to prevent the passage of every civil rights law beginning with the civil rights laws of the 1860s, and continuing with the civil rights laws of the 1950s and 1960s.

Please tell me what the GOP has done for the black community. @ Cog – I’m sure many black people work hard. However, statistically, 27.7% of of blacks are on welfare, compared to 11.5% hispanic and 5.27% white. The only reason I bring up statistic by race is that the black community overwhelmingly votes liberal, and liberals push for entitlements. Conservatives are focused on smaller government, meaning more job growth, not more hand outs. Regardless of race, people on long-term Gov’t assistance tend to vote for more entitlements, siding with Dems.

As for the GOP initiating specific policies aimed at the black community, you are right – there probably are none. Not because the GOP hates blacks, but because conservatives look to better the society as a whole through freedom, limited government, and job creation. Liberals on the other hand depend on dividing citizens into groups to rally them against the “oppressors”, buying votes through race-specific initiatives and programs. Dems want you to continue to struggle if you are a minority, so that you will always have the rich, racist white man to blame for any failures.

Look, there are racists on each side of the isle. If you are insinuating that the GOP as a whole hates minorities because they don’t separate them into their own groups and give selective help to groups based on color, then I believe you have it backwards. To me, racists are those who continue to push for segregation of communities and its people based on color. A community may be overwhelmingly one color, but as a whole, that community needs to be prosperous, with helathy job growth and opportunities for all of its people, not just ones of a specific color. I’m pretty sure 99.9% of conservatives want the country and its citizens to succeed and be prosperous, regardless of race. We would love to see every last person on goverment assistance become self-reliant, employed, and happy. However, we will never get there if minority groups continue to separate themselves and ask for a “better deal” than people of other colors.

Since you brought up the question of what initiatives the GOP have developed specifically for the black community, I’d be curious to hear which Democratic initiatives have been helpful to black communities. At the same time, if you can point out any examples, did those programs positively or negatively effect the rest of the population?

      @BLAZE EDITING STAFF

YOU GUYS ARE BAD!!! YOU REMOVED MY COMMENT THAT WAS A RESPONSE TO “ROGUE.” JGP IS RESPONDING TO MY DELETED POST FOR ANYONE WHO READS THIS ARTICLE AND THE FOLLOWING POST! I THOUGHT YOU GUYS WERE CONSTITUTIONALISTS?! WHY ARE YOU IMPEDING ON MY FREEDOM WHEN I DID NOT BREAK THE RULES?

In the deleted post I mentioned that rogue’s statistics do not show history. Statistics represent a quantifying of events, without the knowledge of those events, those numbers can taken by anyone to mean anything.

In response to his second point about the GOP not having any policies that he can name because they “look to better society through freedom, limited government, and job creation.” I stated that the GOP still does produce policies and if those policies must bring about the three things he mentioned to every one or else then your policy will not be considered effective. When the GOP produces policies that create limited government, freedom, and job creation does it reach to the black community? If you are part of something and it is successful, yet you have not gained from that success will you continue to support it? So while I fully agree the GOP needs to push forth policy that will raise the bar for everyone, they also need to show how they are directly improving the lot of Black Americans through their “rising tide lifts all boats” policy. If like you say they are truly doing that, then it should be easy for them to make an argument against Democrats. All communities should be prosperous like you said, and if the GOP platform is anything like what you say they can surely put forth their record on how they have improved ALL communities through their policies.

Finally addressed his claim about Democrat initiatives. I said that the GOP should not rely on the argument of “Democrats are worse so you vote for us!” because it does not show why, of itself, the GOP deserves the vote. It is a deflection and evasive tactic. I want the GOP to affirm reasons why it is the party that should be voted for. Not use the Democrats as shield to avoid the question!

And I didn’t do this the first time but to JGP, I think the GOP needs to show how it has positively affected the lives of Black-Americans. Then go out there and sell that message. They target NRA members (I am one), they target senior citizens (not one but know a few), the GOP does target people (and policies) to get votes. All they need to do is show how they have helped the Black community and problem solved!

This is a re-post which sort of paraphrases what I said last time because blaze editing staff decided that my original should not be freely there for all to see.

Any race, when given to “freely”, after years of “generosity”, will begin seeing life through the lens of handouts, and begin to conform their lives so as to see the giver, as a friend and anyone who wants to stop the giving, as an enemy.

Democrats founded the KKK, Democrats fought for slavery and murdered both white and black Republicans for demanding Black freedom. Abe Lincoln was Republican, Republicans supported and freed Black Americans and were persecuted for years because of their belief in freedom for all. That is the origin of the change in voting demographics for black Americans. Interesting fact regarding the filibuster of the civil rights act of ‘64:
Only one Republican senator participated in the filibuster against the bill. In fact, since 1933, Republicans had a more positive record on civil rights than the Democrats. In the twenty-six major civil rights votes since 1933, a majority of Democrats opposed civil rights legislation in over 80 % of the votes. By contrast, the Republican majority favored civil rights in over 96 % of the votes.

One would think that minority voters have noticed over the past 4 decades that neither party cares what they think. The Democrat party owns them, so the only thing they do for them is try to rile them at election time because the “boogey man” evil republicans are coming to take away their bennies.

Republicans on the other hand don’t bother because they know that they most they can hope for is 5%, no matter how closely their policies match what’s actually important to these minority groups.

Which means the ONLY way minorities can ever empower themselves is to become INDEPENDENT and vote according to THEIR VALUES AND ISSUES and not simply follow the herd because they’re “expected” to vote for the same liberals who have trapped them in crime/poverty/misery ridden government dependency for over 4 decades.

In other words, minorities need to have the courage to THINK FOR THEMSELVES.

GOP is the new black? If they are talking about the restoration of freedoms too long denyed by the government and the Progressives, then I have news for them – We the People with Gods backing are restoring the freedoms of everyone guaranteed by the Constitution and inspired from above. This tuesday the freedom will ring across the land, and begin the process of cutting away at the powers that have strangled us for too long.

I don’t get why any minority thinks the Democrats are the best party for them anyways. Which party tells them over and over again that they can’t make it on their own that they have to have the government save them in almost every step of their lives, like they cant do it on their own. The Conservative Libertarians believe that every person is smart enough and strong enough to make it on their own and that with an education and some self pride you can do anything and damn the government help when all we need is our own will power to make it.

It is NOT the total fault of the Black voters.. they are fed inaccurate history on the DEMOCRATIC and REPUBLICAN parties in the public schools.. Sad part is that would be the same for ALL our kids.. If you are white they teach you guilt for slavery.. and do not teach what and which party FOUGHT for civil rights..just guilt and if your black they teach whatever part of the civil rights that connects or can be spun into DEMOCRATS were the saviors.. If you listen to the Dems they freed the slaves.. and the only ones who fought for the blacks freedom were BLACK.. and that ALL the white people were Republicans and fought against it..

God I really hate to say this…

You’re going to have to do like Glann Beck says and look this one up for yourselves. It has to do with the Liberal/Conservative Democrat/Republican flip-flop that happened in the ‘60-’70s. Liberals used to be “Republicans” and Conservatives used to be “Democrats”. Like I said, don’t trust me, research it yourselves.

I know, I know… it sucks but it’s true. However, most folks aren’t aware of this so you can technically say “It was the Republicans who freed the slaves” etc and you will still be correct.

You’d think that since the Dumbocrats were the pro slavery, pro segregation party that started the KKK, that most people wouldn’t want anything to do with them. But the Dims are also very good at lying so what-cha gonna do. Rage on! Welcome to the party of normal everyday Americans!

In the words of the esteemed Michael Steele, “What the hizzle?” Ha. I like the billboard. I‘m not black but I wouldn’t want to be a part of any party that told me I was less capable of taking care of myself than another group. I think the most racist people are the ones who have it ingrained in them that certain people need government help because of the color of their skin.

Obama is now burning books like the Nazis did.

I’m not trying to be politically correct – because it simply isn’t my nature to a fault, but let’s be specific and correct in our comments. The Republicans did not free the black man – they were already free because that’s how our Creator created us all. What the Republicans did was to correct the laws so that they were in line with what the Founding Fathers meant all along – that ALL MEN are created equal even though it may have taken years before we saw the fruit of it in our society. Remember, this flies in the face of social justice as the progressives try to remove equal treatment in favor of situational justice based on their feelings. Let’s make sure that we are treating each other with dignity and respect.

To answer your question, that would be black people. Blacks started slavery in America, Blacks captured and trade their slaves in Africa to the Dutch. Just as it is now, whites have just followed in what black people start. Deny it, but do your history first.

GOP is now the only party for all people in the U.S.A. – color doesn’t matter. If you don’t want to be an American – go to Iran or elsewhere – just stop draggin us down! I say close the borders, make English the only language and Christianity our only religion. The rest is messing us up. Founding Fathers plan is the only way to go. Dem’s want World Government – this is un-American. Besides, most of the rest of the World is corrupt. If we keep the Dems in, we will be too.
