Rand Paul: ‘We’ve Come to Take Our Government Back’

There is no reason to be openly pugilistic. Democrats still hold the Senate and the Presidency. The main objective has to be to repair the economy from all Obama destructive influence. That will be a difficult task because Obama still appears to be an unrepentant Marxist. Efforts will have to be sophisticated and firm with constant feedback to the American people.

Rand Paul’s speech was no doubt one of the better speeches last evening. The Republicans have won a great victory. Our votes spoke loud and clear to the democrats that have been dismantling the country for the last two years as they have attempted to transform America and spend us into oblivion…you have come this far and you may go no further. The people have spoken.
I gave you the story of Jehoshaphat from 2 Chronicles 20, how he won a great victory against a vast army that had come against him. This King of Judah went before the Lord to ask God for direction, and God told Jehosphat that the battle was not his but God’s. Through a series of events God caused the enemies that had come against Judah to destroy themselves. When the people of the Southern Kingdom of Judah went out to look on the desert floor, all they saw were the dead bodies of their enemies. Not one had escaped. The people of Judah collected the plunder for three days from the enemy camp, BUT on the fourth day they PRAISED THE LORD. The Bible tells us that God had given them cause to rejoice over the defeat of their enemies. We learn that the fear of God came upon all the kingdoms of the countries who heard about Judah’s great victory, and Jehoshaphat’s kingdom was at peace and rest.
GOD GIVES VICTORY TO HIS PEOPLE. We must not lose sight of that fact. God is still in control of nations and kingdoms. This trouble that has come upon us has awakened this sleeping giant of a nation, and we must not fall back into complacency and compliance. We have learned a hard lesson as the progressives have tried to destroy our beloved country. We must never let that happen again. It is time to give PRAISE where PRAISE IS DUE! :)

So what happened in 2008. Was God on vacation? If God actually turns elections why not all of them? If he is so poweful why does he let people like me call him a feeble powerless twit, a figment of the weakminded’s imaginations? Jesus Christ was a homosexual. He hung around with only men and wore a dress.

I think a tea party needs to be held on the steps of the Capital on January 3, 2011 as the new Congress is sworn in to ensure they understand we are awake, aware and angry! Remember, another vote is only 2 years away…33 Senate seats up for election in 2011 and 24 of those are currently held by Democrats…I am sure some of the others are held by RINO’s. They need to know we are not going away just because November 2 has passed.

Government should NOT EVER be allowed to engage in the benevolence business. If you wish to help the less fortunate, then start a charitable organization. Don’t send the government to extort money from me at gunpoint to fund projects for the “collective good”. What people earn through their labor and ingenuity belongs to them, and no one-especially not the government-has any claim upon it.

You do know that most of what you listed would be considered to be a horrible act of government by anyone who knows the slightest about political philosophy. You may consider it noble to give your money to those in need. I would consider it a drain on your life. I would consider it to be the act of siphoning off from what is able and productive to those that are not. Only thats not what Washington or obama are doing. They are giving what they did not earn and could not make. They are not charitable. Does it mater what the highway man does with the cash he takes from you? Do his good intentions sanction his act? You cant be a philanthropist with other peoples money. Only those who look to act out true greatness without ever putting forth the necessity of effort to achieve it try that smut.

Don’t act like your some kind of saint while your hand is in my pocket. Don’t call me greedy, I don’t subscribe to that morality.

      Obama is naive

      Obama is a narcissist

      Obama is inexperienced

      Obama is tyrannical and radical

Obama’s anti-American conduct brought about the tea party

Obama never addresses the real issues or seeks real insight of an issue to deal with

Obama’s health-care plan is going to end up being a fiscal, burreaucratic and medical disaster.

Obama ignored the call for medical care reform to deal with cost but expanded government instead.

Obama has failed to connect with the American People but instead has chosen speak of critics as enemies. Uses Chicago mafia tactics.

Obama in a short time has laid huge economic and politcal problems on America.

Obama has neglected the federal reserve.

Obama did do one thing right for sure.. he united the patriots to change our country back!

All true patriots know that the government has no business trying to help children who are sick and dying, or helping the families of soldiers who died fighting for this country, or soldiers who were disabled fighting for this country.

That sounds like socialism to me. Tell those freeloading sick kids to go get a job, and same thing for those soldiers families.

You quoted 32 things..there were actually 38 on that list. Leave out an inconvienient truths, did we?

Not going to waste my time going thru this whole list but are acouple you left out.

“Appointed more openly gay officials than any other president in US history” – Wow, what an accomplishment. I think another Nobel Peace Prize is in order.

and passed “The American Recovery & Reinvestment Act of 2009: a $789 billion economic stimulus plan” – What an absolute disaster and over 65% rejected by America but he jammed it thru anyway.

Maybe he’ll get the “Stimulus Peace Prize” for this one.

He’s a progressive socialist and those policies have destroyed nations.

Wake up people, 2012 can’t come soon enough.

Oh, and dueche bagging Matty(AKA Tea Bagging Patriot). As we all know by now you’re really a lib-tard hiding as a real Tea Party mamber..

I can only say to you that giving money to soldiers is the right thing to do. They actually did a job for us. Remember that? Oh you don’t? Well, get a clue. They were our soliers. As for the non govt employee soldiers, Americans already give their hard earned money to help these people out. It’s called CHARITY, and us Americans give more than any other people on planet Earth. An act that didn’t go far enough in investing in infrastructure and direct employment of Americans in constructing a new set of economic firms and industrial capacity.

Treating gay people like humans does not make one socialist. Subsidizing infrastructure development, a tax and spend program that is what government has always done, is no socialism. Socialism is some form of public ownership of the means of production.

      @The Third Archon

Didn’t go far enough, are you kidding me? Is OVER the cliff far enough for ya?

I think with this election we may, and I mean MAY barely have saved us from going over that cliff. Still too early to tell right now.

Wrong, taxation without representation is what the BHO administrantion have done.

They took the “general welfare clause” and made a mockery of this nation. Promoting socialism all the while disguising it under that clause. It’s not what the founding fathers intended and it needs to be stopped and reversed.

Here, I’ll even quote it for you.

“The Congress shall have Power To lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises, to pay the Debts and provide for the common Defence and general Welfare of the United States; but all Duties, Imposts and Excises shall be uniform throughout the United States;”

Hmmm, does 80% tax for one group of people and 10% tax for another group of people seem uniform to you?

Not just Obama, but every admistration has taken these words to mean something they were never meant to be. And every year it gets worse and worse. The BHO admin. is just the lastest and the WORST.

No wonder the people finally uprose and took back at least some of congress. 2012 can’t come soon enough.

Ok, I’ll be back later. Have fun.

No one in this country is taxed 80% of their income. The uniformity clause references taxes being equal ACROSS THE STATES not that we’d tax everything and everyone the same amount. Why would we do that?

You can‘t possibly believe that everything on the list of Obama’s accomplishments is bad.

I think a great exercise for the new Congress, and all of us, would be for everyone to list five good things about the opposite party. We can’t work together without looking for the good. Believe it or not, all of our public servants (well most of them anyway) want only the best for the country. None of them are trying to bring evil, ans many of you seem to believe.

None of that is the Gov’s job! That is the responsibility of the people through values, tithing, and charity. Also it has been proven time and time again that stimulus (keynesian economics) doesn’t work. Letting the FREE MARKET do it’s thing and weed out the failures and reward the success stories HAS worked.

Bankrupted the country and devalued our currency, spending more money faster than anyone would have believed possible.

And there was less economic disparity then as before–billionaires couldn’t exist in a state of nature–without the government to create a right to property and back it up with force rich people couldn’t be rich; we’d all just be people…probably murdering each other for bread…

If you aren‘t smart enough to save for retirement move in with your kids don’t force me to support your dumb @ss. Health care is not a right. If you get sick you get the care you can pay for even if you’re old. You got to die some time. I don’twant to ppay while you do it slowly in a nursing home losing your mind and control of you bowels. Charity is a private affair. If you want to help the poor, old and homeless it should be a choice not a forced mandate by the state. Minimum wage laws are unconstitutional. Dismantle the EPA, Dept of Education, HUD, and every other socialist agency. Let the states make the laws not enumerated in The Constitution.
