‘Raping Their Innocence’: Parents Outraged After School Principal Allegedly Teaches 5th Graders About Oral & Anal Sex

A disturbing story is making its way out of a small community in Washington State, where residents are outraged over a school lesson that was delivered to fifth-grade children. During a sex education class led by the Onalaska Elementary School principal, graphic descriptions of oral and anal sex were purportedly delivered.
According to Fox News’ Todd Starnes, the 11-year-old students were being given a lesson on HIV-AIDS. However, the lesson took a bizarre turn when a student reportedly asked about other forms of sexual activity. At that point, the principal then delved into subjects many would deem too advanced for the children.
While the school hasn’t offered comment, Superintendent Scott Fenter defended the principal’s actions, claiming that she only gave “factual information” and “no demonstrations.“ Fenter also claims that the lessons that were offered came from ”state-adopted curriculum.”
“In reality, she stuck to the curriculum,” the district leader told Seattle’s Q-13 Fox News. “It’s pretty difficult to talk about STDs or sexually transmitted diseases without explaining what that is, or how it’s transmitted.”
Parents are reacting harshly to the lesson, though, claiming that the principal went too far.
“I’m one pissed off cowboy, I didn’t appreciate them teaching my daughter – who is innocent of that – at all,” James Gilliand said in an interview with Starnes.
“Basically, how I feel is, it’s just the same as raping somebody, but you’re raping their innocence instead of their physical being,” he added in the Q-13 appearance.
Another parent, Curtis Pannkuk, believes that the curriculum must be changed. Echoing Gilliand’s declarations, he said, “children were traumatized.”
Starns provides the graphic details of what the parents claim their children heard in the classroom:
“You take a man’s penis and you put it in your mouth – that’s what the girls do to the boys,” their daughter told the couple. “The boys spread the girls legs apart and put their mouths down on the vaginas.”
Pannkuk said he became enraged as his 11-year-old daughter recounted what the principal had told the classroom.
“Steam was coming out my ears,” he said. “I was very, very upset. I understand that they need to teach these kids sex education – but 11-year-olds? I have a problem with that. The wife and I were very – very upset.”
Gilliland said another child explained to their parents that it “was basically like a lollipop.”

Posted on June 14, 2012 at 1:01pmWhen I was dirt poor and a soldier, I’d eat either saltines, or nothing at all in order to keep my kids in private school. I’d rejoice when I went into the field, as I could eat and I’d save every scrap of packaged field rations to finish off later on.
The kids all went to private schools and mom stayed at home to be with them.
That’s how it works. Dad’s do their duty and die young, but the next generation has a leg up and may have it easier. It doesn’t always work, but one does have to give it their all. “Look good, lead from the front, and die well.”

The Monthly fees; for ILLEGALS!! How insane are those people??? I’m not surprised they allow their teachers to breech this trust between Parents/Teachers…but who is to blame? THE PARENTS who do not get involved in the school board, letting these LIBERAL, COMMUNISTIC, MARXISTS, LEFT WING NUT CASES control our schools who control our kids who control the next generation.
Report Post »Maybe I’m totally naive but I thought that courses like this had to have Parental Signatures!!! Sounds like you WASHINGTON STATE FOLKS need to oust your Teacher’s Unions and for the Parents to get back into control. I wonder if any of those bleeding heart, lame-brained, one-note-Liberals ever thought of sending letters to the parents discussing the problems with STD’s and suggesting THEY, THE PARENTS, have this conversation as THEY saw fit??? No, of course not. THOSE DOPEY LIBERALS think people MUST BE TOLD how to act, what to eat, what to think. Report Post »The left along with their militant homosexual allies have been insinuating the homosexual lifestyle on our children at younger and younger ages. This is part of their plan to make homosexuality “normal”. They know they’ve lost the adults but a child indoctrinated from an early age will likely remain in favour of homosexuals throughout his or her adult life.
But it doesn’t end there…it’s not just about “acceptance” it’s about getting more and more children thinking about adopting homosexual practices themselves. So you “normalize” it early then get them “experimenting” as soon as possible. Yes..“experimenting” is one of the words these creeps throw around. You’ll recall GLSEN wanted to teach school age children acts like f#sting? This is no coincidence. Homosexuals know their practices are perverse and counter to the well being of the human species so they have to erode resistance to their practices. So teaching 5th graders about an@l sex is part of this plan. They’re trying to normalize it.
Obama’s “Czar of Safe Schools” and stealth pedophile Kevin Jennings is the one opening these doors along with “It Gets Better” and “Bullying” militant homosexual Dan Savage. Jennings founded GLSEN. Jennings is an admirer of Harry Hay..a proponent of NAMBLA.
“Bullying” is the door they used to get the homosexual agenda into our schools.

I agree. For all of you here that CARE about your kids, TAKE YOUR KIDS OUT OF PUBLIC SCHOOLS NOW. Homeschooling is the ideal choice for most and most economical.
You might have to “sacrifice” not driving a new car, or down size the house you can’t quite afford to have someone stay home with the kids and educate them.
You have only a few years and ONE CHANCE to raise your kids right.
You can either take the time while they are young and KEEP THEM AWAY from public schools away from both from brain washing from the teachers/ curriculum. Not only that but also away from the other unguided children that are even a worse influence.
TAKE CONTROL and your children will grow up with a strong God fearing character, get married with children and continue the cycle that made this nation great
LEAVE IT TO PUBLIC SCHOOLS, & PEARS, and they will loose their childhood, have STD’s before they are 15, they will be tatooed and with a fact that looked like it fell in a tackle box. They will believe that homosexuality in noble and random hookups, is a hobby. They will feel entitled, as though the government is there to be the parent. They will learn about recycling and global warming and how the world would be better of if 80% of people died, and we ran out of petroleum.
Think about it they are spending 30hrs plus in schools, compare to the 2hr in church and 6 hrs at most engaged with you as a parent!

Amen to your comments. I am in the Army, and my wife and I decided early on that our girls will never see so much as a day of public school. We do not want their false evolution, their multiculturalism, their lack of morality, their lack of discipline, and their lack of real education.
We homeschooled the first few years, and then put them in Christain private school. The home school for the first few years has some real bennefits. for one, they lear to be independent, and build a good work ethic. When they do go to school, they are not looking for leadership from the kids to the left and the right, and are able to stand alone and do what is right.
My 12 year old just finished 9th grade (she skipped multiple grades). Just recently we ran into her science teacher, and it was a real treat to hear him talk about my daughter. He did not brag so much on her academic ability at such a young age. What impressed him was her knowledge of right and wrong, and self discipline to do what is right, even when it is not popular, or not what the crowd is doing.
We live in a nation where doing what is right is getting very unpopular. Sometimes it feels a little strange to teach young girls that oneday in the future, standing up for what is right, may get you killed or tortured. Even if the cost is that high, we want children that would rather stand on truth, and die, then to be wrong and live. Many might think that odd, but if you study the early christians,

The “raping of innocence” experience happened at our daughter’s former school (Episcopal). I cannot repeat here some of the things my daughter heard and saw in the class room. One new teacher (from a very liberal part of the country) was a very sick individual and after speaking with the headmaster of the school about the issues going on in the classroom, the headmaster sided with the sicko teacher only because not many others complained. Needless to say we pulled our daughter out of the school. Home school worked for us.

First let me agree on the congratulations for the soldier, if more Dad‘s cared that much we wouldn’t have this kind teaching sex ed in the public schools because the school boards elected by the majority of districts wouldn’t hire them.
Then, may I suggest you check with your state Ohio has a free Online Charter school, I’m told many other states do too. My daughter had the same problem with her husband as you but after 4 kids. When she was having problems with the school she decided to take her twins out and put in the online school and is very glad she did. When 1 of the older sisters was threatened by a group of girls in the high school she enrolled her too. She’s able to schedule their classes around appointments. You might have to have someone oversee your son while you work, but it would be worth it in the long run.

Our children are so far ahead of their peers it is crazy! But the biggest difference is in behavior. I don’t know how parents can expect to be the biggest influence on the behavior and developement of their children when they spend less time with them than the public schools get them. After spending time with my family and others in our church who homeschool, a friend of mine decided to pull her children out of public school and homeschool. This week was their last week at school, and guess what happened on the bus on the way home, her 7 year old daughter was felt up and kissed by a 12 year old boy (who undoubtably just finished his manditory sex classes). I told him “I don’t care what you do with the public schools because my children will never attend them, just please stop raising my taxes to pay for them”. He became curious and asked my what I thought was wrong with them and boy did I give him an earfull. He was wanting to do the usually conservative reforms…cutting the unions, cutting adminstration, etc. I told him all that‘s great but it still won’t make a difference in the quality of education at those schools. See here is the problem…as a homeschooling mom, when my child gets a “C” on a test, I say “she must not fully understand the material”. And we go over the entire lesson again, until she GETS it. This is called getting an education. What we do at the schools is graduate students, we do not educate them. This cannot be down in large buildings with large classrooms. Until we take the model that IS working (homeschool / Monessori school) and model our schools after that, you can reform all you want and spend all you want, won’t make a difference. The WHOLE SYSTEM NEEDS TO BE SCRAPPED! He sighed and said you know I think you are probably right, but how do we go about doing that? I said “you’re the politician, I’m just a mom”.

Since she homeschools her girls, they are not exposed to all this garbage, but this was a church function. She opened my eyes…Hello, there are public school children in our church and at one such event, one of these children asked a question about a sex act that her girls at their young age had no idea what it was. Opened a can of worms they didn’t want opened. All sexual education needs to come from parents. Children develop at different rates. What is appropriate to talk to one 12 year old about, is completely inapropriate for another. Children should be allowed to remain inocent as long as possible. But if you send your children to public school and let them watch cable tv and movies you have not screened, chances are they will not remain inocent for very long. My four year old just discovered that boys have different “special parts”. My friend was shocked that she didn‘t know the propper names and hadn’t been told that earlier. I looked at her and said one word, “why”. I like to keep my children completely inocent as long as possible (and don’t worry, she will know what they are called before she hits High School – LOL)

Posted on June 15, 2012 at 12:26amAs a father of 5 well adjusted children 2 of which are grown, I am certain that they experienced a much better education and experience attending private school.
This kind of sex education crosses the line, it is not the birds and the bees. It is teaching children that the only reason not to have sex is STD’s, but if you use a condom then chances are you won’t catch HIV or another STD.
This is how the progressive socialist have torn our country apart. The have infected the minds of public school children so inherently they no longer see where the line is drawn. Anything goes and anything is possible if you have an interest. This is why the children whose parents aren‘t attentive to their child’s education suffer the worst.
It’s time to do away with federal school education and give it to the states so the citizens of the state can determine what is the best curriculum for the students. At some point a teacher needs to say to children, these things are best discussed with your parents.
Anything above and beyond the birds and the bees needs to be left to parents to explain.
There is a reason you can’t take and 11 year old to an R rated movie. Some subject matter is not appropriate for children. It should be up to the parent to decide when and how to talk of these other topics, not a teacher in the class room.
She could have just as easily have said if you don’t know or understand please discuss with your parents.

When my grandparents were alive, and my parents went from a pop up to a motor home they GAVE the pop up to them. That’s supposed to be our goal, to have our children better off than we are. Posted on June 15, 2012 at 1:34pm@leader.. Courses? I finished my graduate courses about 4 years ago.. I’m finishing my dissertation right now. I’ve spent enough time arguing and presenting evidence in favor of evolution on here.. The only thing that is proved here is your lack of understanding of the concept of “proof” in science. You cannot “prove” anything in science… Germ theory is not “proven.“ Heliocentric theory is not ”proven.” Why don’t you play the devils advocate for yourself and dig deep into the literature and read books to understand evolution. I recommend Daniel Dennets work “Darwins Dangerous Idea” which sites many references. Do you not find it interesting that the head of the NIH Francis Collins is an evangelical christian but has come out publicly to exclaim that he in fact accepts evolution? Why do evangelical christians who are NOT molecular biologists conclude evolution is a lie, yet one of the very very few that is a medical research has come out to ACCEPT evolution is true… He has also written a book trying to spin the existence of a god into compatibility with evolution..

@RangerP Again you come of as potentially intelligent yet you choose to be a complete Dolt!! “We do not want their false evolution, their multiculturalism..” I don’t have a problem with the fact you homeschool and I laud raising moral kids… great! But what do you know about evolution?!?! Nothing?!?
In science an idea can be a hypothesis, a theorem, and finally an established fact. Evolution is a theory. Do you get that? It is a theory. That means that it is a plausible or scientifically acceptable general principle or body of principles offered to explain phenomena.
A theory is not a fact in the scientific community. Many of the events, places, and people that surround Jesus can actually be pointed at to prove his existence. Therefore I believe that my house will follow Him instead of Darwin the false god.

My wife stayed home to raise our children (4 in total) and I worked as many as 3 jobs to make sure we could keep them in private school. I have never regretted it a day in my life. Posted on June 15, 2012 at 3:26pm@RANCHO “A theory is not a fact in the scientific community.” See this is the EXACT type of BS that really irritates academic scientists.. The public’s brainwashed misunderstanding of the definition of “Theory!“ It is certainly more complex that I will state here but you need to understand that when scientists say ”Evolutionary Theory“ or ”Germ Theory“ they are referring to 1000s of lines of evidence and results that form what we call a ”model.” The model is based on results!! If I tell within the model of “cancer theory” that DNA damage causes p53 phosphorylation in most cases…. THAT IS A FACT! There are 1000s of experiments to show that the statement I just said is true! google it!
the culmination of results that build a theoretical model are based on a number of “facts” that are observed in the result. DARWIN only presented the IDEA for evolution… Since his IDEA.. There are 1000s of lines of evidence both in the macroworld and molecularly since Darwins time that support his preliminary evidence and hypothesis.. Some are molecularly complex and you would need the formal education to understand the FACTS of the evidence! Or you can take the easy way out say.. “duhhh.. all the evidence I need is in this har biblle..”. and the go drink cool aid on the porch basking in your satisfaction of the answer..

BUT now a days, it is on kids cell phones, FB pages, other accounts, as well in emails, on web sites they go on and on TV. Most have done or participated in it already. It is no surprise to a point. Most I remember when I worked in the office were by age 15 mother of three or two and pregnant with the next one. It does not matter at what age we try to teach them, scare them of all the std’s now. And not the world health organ. is saying gonarrhea is going to be untreatable before long which is very dangerous and deadly. But do you think it will stop NO. There are so many people into internet porn posting naked pics, meeting, hooking up on road sides, married esp. Sites promoting married people cheat. So yeah at times I do feel they need to learn about sex, but you know religion has been taken out of schools and I prefer my kids have it now they are attacking bible sceens on church property. I have to say when religion was every where we did not have all the violence and crime as bad as now. But again we will all sit back type is and never do nothing about it.

But, if parents want teachers and schools to just be babysitters for them, and do not care what they are taught as long as they are not in their hair, it will not work. I guess their children aren’t precious enough, though, to protect them from filth and making themselves (the parents) the center and controlling factors in education. Pass off the responsibility to the school system to do what you should be doing (teaching your kids yourselves); pass the buck to the tax payers to transport your kids to those meat factories; rely on the school to feed your kids. That’s all great right up to the point the real parents, the nanny state, start acting like the Godless trolls they are and suddenly, only then when your little ones are fully corrupted, do you care?

Posted on June 15, 2012 at 10:39amSexual material that shocks is nothing new for Washington state. Washington state introduced the sex education “pilot program” supporting SEICUS in the late 60′s. I know, I was there. The woman who ramroded this was Dr. Mary Calderone, research her. She pulled this program off with the blessing of the United States government. She believed children by the age of kindergarden should be sexually enlightened. IMHO, arbitrarily dismantling information of this nature without fully disclosing its possible consequences reminds me of educating the same age group of how to load a gun, drive a car, fly an airplane or a host of other activities without restrictions and regulations. Children this age do not have the maturity or mental capacity to totally comprehend total sexual responsibility. We have a generation of female adolescents who are sexually active, many of them mothers who are still children themselves. We have taught and are teaching them that being sexually active is their ‘right’ not their responsibility, no sex act is abnormal or unatural, and nothing about what the emotional, mental, physical, medical and financial consequence costs of irresponsible sexual behavior. The annals of history are very clear as to what happens to a society that allows and endorses moral and sexual decline…..we are there.

Oral diseases? and after they are fully and completely educated on HIV/AIDS which is associated with illegal drug use, ‘homosexual life style” (trying to keep this discussion appropriate and not graphic) about rectum tears and weak muscles that cause continual fecal leakage — are the kids taught about other things that are closer to their typical age of health issues? ….oh like say measles, flu, dental cavities, acne, why one should not share beverages with each other out of the same container, etc.
But parents who send their schools to public school should be checking out the school’s agenda at the beginning of each school year — after getting exposed to worldly information its too late to undo the damage.

Posted on June 14, 2012 at 1:12pmParents do not always vote on the curriculum. At least not in NJ they have NO say whatsoever. There is a core curriculum that must be taught in every school, that is determined at the state level, based on what the feds want. If the states want education money from the feds they have to teach what the feds want them to teach. It is not each community decides.
This is why we need to get rid of the federal Dept. of Education.

Posted on June 14, 2012 at 12:47pmIt is just like porn. You hear it, you see it, you have it done to you, it sticks in your brain for the rest of your life. When it is done to kids it changes the course of their lives from that point on. What she did should be a crime! She did verbal porn on them. Sex is meant to be explored by two newly wed adults on their wedding night. It is not supposed to be explored in a class room full of kids. Did she tell them amything having to do with ALL bodily fluids can and will transmit STDs? In my book that is all you need to tell kids. If you marry someone that has never swapped any fluid you should be safe if you have not either.

Not all parents just let the evil immoral things in this world into their homes. So stop calling them hypocrites. I didn’t and even though I explained about sex at age appropriate levels and when my son asked questions, I can tell you he wasn’t ready to hear this stuff at age 11. Some kids may be and some may not, but I’m one who thinks parents know their children best and they should be teaching this and not someone at school.

Being told how oral sex works doesn’t even approach comparison to being raped. If you’ve raised your kids in such a way that a description of oral sex is enough to traumatize them, then my guess is that one day my kids will be paying your kid‘s way through life because they’ll be too emotionally-fragile to cope with it.

Posted on June 14, 2012 at 2:00pmLet me make myself clear here. If I had my way, I would immediately eliminate the department of education. I would defund the public schools and move to a market-driven private school system. And I don’t believe teachers should be teaching sex ed AT ALL. That’s for parents to be doing. Personally I think probably at least half the currently-employed public school teachers could be fired tomorrow and the quality of education wouldn’t drop and may even rise as a consequence.
My complaint is with the idea that describing oral sex is comparable to rape and is some kind of traumatizing event. The kids in this country today are by and large the most coddled bunch of babies in the world because for decades liberal psychologists like Spock have been telling everyone that childhood-destroying trauma lies around every corner. You can’t yell at your kid without risking traumatizing the little darlings. And so now there’s a ridiculous number of weak, soft, emotionally-fragile people wandering around out there crying to news reporters about democracy ending because their guy lost a democratic election. When I was a 5th grader, for crying out loud if my teacher started telling us how oral sex worked we’d probably all have been giggling like, well, like school kids. I doubt any single one of us would’ve needed trauma counceling. That’s just pathetic.
Finally, comparing descriptions of oral sex to rape I think is a slap in the face to everyone who’s had to suffer the horror of

Posted on June 14, 2012 at 3:16pmI was both molested as a child (10-13) and raped as a teen (19). I can tell you that I will protect my daughters from sickos of all stripes and that includes within the education system.
Far from seeing the comparison between this and a rape,as an insult, I see it as a legitimate comparison as rape/molestation is not about sex, it is about power. These teachers have power over children who are generally a captive audience.
Secondly well after the physical effects of sexual assault have healed, the mental and emotional remain. You feel like a freak, especially when your friends are sitting around playing with their dolls or talking about how they held Michael’s hand and you know more about functional sex than kids twice your age.
THAT is what this teacher did!!! So yes I think the comparison is a good one.

Posted on June 14, 2012 at 3:34pmWell, to each their own, but I frankly find it as idiotic as saying that a drawing of a gun violates a school weapon policy. My own experiences as a child and a young adult inspired me to go into the medical field, to help children, especially those who were screwed over by adults.

I agree with everything you say here. But that still doesn‘t mean that I’m going think that describing oral sex is the same thing as rape. Feel free to disagree with that all you want. I also don’t think a verbal decription of oral sex should be in the least bit traumatizing to 11 year olds. Again, feel free to disagree. But don‘t sit there saying oh it’s OBVIOUS you don‘t have kids because you don’t share my opinion! It’s frigging obnoxious and what one expects from idiot lefties.

Posted on June 14, 2012 at 6:25pmI was raised in a pretty normal suburban area with a surprisingly decent public school, yet I can say for a fact that I was familiar with the phrase “suck my d*ck” by the third grade, and understood what it meant. And somewhere in the 10 to 12 range I stumbled upon some dirty magazines and got to see what it looked like. But did I feel traumatized or raped? No, I giggled and said oh gross!
Now I agree that kids are oversexualized these days, largely because liberals seem obsessed with sex. But holy cow if we‘re going to go so far the other way that we’re saying a verbal description of sex is traumatic and akin to rape, well that just seems a terrible overreaction.

I’m not sure the philosophy of medieval society makes a real good argument. Besides, I‘m guessing most medieval people probably already had kids themselves at not much older than the age we’re talking about here.
