Rapper 50 Cent Nets Nearly $9 Million With Just a Few Tweets

Rapper 50 Cent made $8.7 million in one weekend — not from music sales or concert tickets, but from his Twitter account. Rapper 50 Cent Nets Nearly $9 Million With Just a Few Tweets

50 Cent, aka Curtis Jackson, reportedly lent his star power to a no-name penny stock company by tweeting about them over the weekend.

“You can double your money right now. Just get what you can afford,” he tweeted.

On Monday, the company — H&H Imports — paid the celeb for his social networking. H&H is a money-losing venture based in Clearwater, Fla., the New York Post noted Tuesday.

“They are no joke get in now,” Jackson told his 3.8 million followers. In exchange for selling out some ad space on his Twitter account, Jackson received 30 million shares of H&H and a series of warrants granting him the opportunity to cash in as the stock rises.

On Monday, H&H closed the trading day out at 39 cents, giving Jackson’s 30 million-share stake an $8.7 million boost.

Don’t ya just love CAPITALISM? Now Mr. Fifty Cent needs to do what all wealthy people ought to do, provided he isn’t taxed to death first, BE CHARITABLE! How about picking a few poor neighborhoods and paying for the education of deserving kids. Or he could give Jimmy Carter some dough to build some houses through Habitats for Humanity……….Come on FIFFY, give it up!

He has tons of money but he did start the Gunity foundation: http://www.gunityfoundation.org/
which provides a lot for the community he grew up in. He donates food each november to poor people who need turkeys and many other projects. Give him some credit people whether or not you like the music thats up to you but he is a smart smart man who came from nothing and does give back to his community.

I believe there are some serious SEC & FINRA laws that were just broken here……If the company goes belly up or the star is using his star power to trade “inside” that is front running a trade and is subject to a number of rules as Martha Stewart she used her “insider” track, but oh wait she wasn’t fitty…fame comes with a price fitty.. c-

We have been approached by advertisers to add a blurb to our tweets occasionally. We decided to keep our twitter account clean and rely on the revenue generated by our site Politisite.com. There are others who provide political news that do take ads. We have maintained that our followers want news tweets only. We don’t have millions of followers, but a cool 8.7 million could help us out a bit right now… My next tweet will probably say breaking.. buy Acme XYZ today!

A greedy capitalist pig……….Oh, I forgot, he’s one of the brothas…never mind….all bets off….it’s a “feel good” story; a poor ghetto kid gets it all… Only problem I have other than the hypocricy of the left is ….can anyone say “INSIDER TRADING”..? What if a poor unsuspecting investor invested “puts” (money that stock would go down) not knowing about this propagandizing public stock…. Didn’t they send poor Martha Stewart to jail for less than this ???

Free Speech is alive, even if it defrauds people. I hope all of 50 cents fans who invested in this scam get outraged.

Watch how a real artist uses free speech in this 2009 video where Marc Rubin destroys his presidential portrait of Obama in response to Glenn Beck’s expose of Obama using the NEA for propaganda. Its called “Catharsis”, and you too might have one when you watch it.

@WhiteTeaParty “…that all of sudden makes the United States racist free?”

Don’t be so quick to call someone stupid. If you don’t know the difference between NOT A RACIST COUNTRY and RACIST FREE, then the problem is your INABILITY to understand simple sentences. What Akmikeus said is true. America is not a racist country. Just like it isn’t a bigamist country, even though there are bigamists that are American citizens. It‘s not a homosexual country either but we have some homosexual Americans don’t we?

@CURATOR_JDR Free Speech has never protected fraud, with that said there is no evidence that this is fraud, Just telling someone to buy a stock is not “fraud” in and of itself. If there was insider trading or some other scam occurring then it si fraud and the SEC should be involved but just recommending a penny stock you own is not.
