Chinese prisoner walking into an execution chamber
China’s human rights record is, by many accounts, startling. The communist nation uses a heavy hand in punishing its citizens, as the death penalty is imposed even for crimes that are non-violent in nature. Many times, individuals who have not had a fair trial are hauled off to be killed by a firing squad.
According to Amnesty International, “500,000 people are currently enduring punitive detention without charge or trial, and millions are unable to access the legal system to seek redress for their grievances.” And when it comes to the death penalty, the numbers are even more shocking.
While the Chinese government does not release official counts, a recent CBS News report claims that about 4,000 individuals may have been put to death last year. The United States, which includes some states that still employ the death penalty for violent crimes, only executed 46 people last year.

Earlier this month, Daily Mail highlighted some startling images of women on death row in China. These individuals, who were convicted of drug trafficking, are seen enjoying their final minutes and hours. The photos are particularly striking, due to China’s closed nature.
In what the Mail calls “an unprecedented move,” a civilian photographer was allowed inside the No 1 Detention Center in Wuhan, China, on June 24, 2003. The images expose the women’s activities in the hours and moments before they were killed. The Mail reports:
The photographer was granted access to Ma Qingxiu, Li Juhua, Dai Donggui and He Xiuling from 9pm until 7.21 am the next morning. The women had all been convicted of drug trafficking and sentenced to death.
Now, nearly a decade later, the images captured are finally making their rounds. While the photos were originally banned, as the government feared they would spawn sympathy for the prisoners, they were recently published by Hong Kong broadcaster Phoenix TV.
In one photo, Donggui is seen eating fresh fruit, dumplings and hot pies from McDonald’s prior to her execution:

In addition to devouring delicious foods, the women were also given new clothing. Below, see Xiuling putting on a new pair of shoes that she will wear during her execution:

Here, Donggui can be seen organizing and folding the clothing that she’ll wear during her execution the next day:

You can see more of the images here and watch a news report produced by CBS News that explains the executions and the images:

God is being abandoned, laws are being broken supposedly legally, Marxists and communists are moving into the lime light and it all is leading to no good. The future does not look promising for anyone. The laws are being readjusted as not to offend anyone and the country is losing all of its pride. Changes has to be made before it is to late. OMG

Report Post »For the proponets of the Death Penalty…one little truth you should think about.
Once you give the state the right to take your life. All they have to do is change the deffinition of why they can do it. First Degree murder, premeditated was why you were put to death. Then kidnapping, rape, armed robbery, and yes major drug dealers can face the death penalty in our system.
And you invoke God. Really.

Posted on December 12, 2011 at 10:44pm@Michael – you got it right. God doesn’t punish the way atheists or God haters think… God just gives you what you continually beg for. Normally in His mercy He keeps bad things from you, He understands we are children and unwise…asking for things that hurt us…like kids asking for sugar snacks for meals all day every day… no parent would give it to them…. But when a country continually tells God to get lost, we don’t need you, we don’t want your rules (which are for our own good)… He says, “ok, have it your way and see how it works out for you. I’m tired of your ungratefulness and ingratitude. You will get what you want and you won’t like it. But when you call out to me (after you feel the pain) I will save you again…” And I believe it truly hurts God more than it hurts us to watch it.

frankly, I don’t understand what in your mind God has to do with Chinese executions.
“God is being abandoned,” you said. Well…what about highly Christian Holy inquisition that has had put so many people to burn at the stake? Alive, by the way…
Somebody says here something about Go’d Mercy. What is so merciful in allowing irreligious Bolsheviks to murder up to 50 Million of highly religious citizens of Russia, own compatriots, in 1917-1939? Either God is not merciful or does not exi….what?
Or maybe, just maybe, we the humans assign to God tasks that are not and never were in His list-to-do?
As for execution corrupted officials, rapists and drug trafficking…. what’s so bad about it? Particularly in a society of over 1.3 Billion people? It’s an implementation of social Darwinism that is so much beloved by our dear human rights watchers…

My original post was deleted. I would like to see all addicts rehabilitated. Drug dealers IMHO could be rehabilitated, imprisoned or executed depending where they were in the hierarchy. The higher up they are, the more I am for executing them (like Pablo Escobar).
It all depends on how serious the situation is. China has had a bad history with drugs where nations, Japan & Britain, forced drugs onto the Chinese nation causing much harm.

What do you think nation feels like when they have gone thru this”
“According to Gabriel G. Nahas “The Decline of Drugged Nations” By 1900, China had 90 Million addicts caused by British Opium.
China had become known as the “Sickman of the East”.
17 Millions Chinese addicts died directly as a result of the British Opium.
In 1905, with the creation of lagest drug case in Human History, British finally realized that their More than a century India-China Opium Traffic is morally indefensible and proposed to control it. The Chinese unhesitatingly accepted. “It is hereby commanded,” the emperial edict ran, “that within a period of ten years the evils arising from foreign and native opium be equally and completely eradicated.”
In 1909, an International Conference was convened in Shanghai. All the major countries were invited. 13 states agreed to control the traffic in opium and its derivatives, particularly morphine. In 1911, they met again at the Hague. In 1920, the League of Nations had been established. In 1931, at the Geneva Convention, the Opium Advisory Committee also tried to regulate all production of dangerous drugs.” http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-backroom/1521072/posts

I understand what you are saying. I think any Country that was serious about illegal drugs would put a stop to it. The USA is not serious about it because of all the jobs that would be lost. I think that’s the major issue. Lost jobs. How many people would be unemployed in the USA if we “concured” the drug problem?

Posted on December 13, 2011 at 11:07amI’ve seen worse. I saw before and after photos of Chinese death penalty inmates.
The photo set that I saw was all women inmates. Only men were behind the triggers. It was a line of about 10-12 women facing a brick wall – no blindfolds. The young woman in the front that I saw closely looked like about 25 years at most – a pretty young woman. One man each pulled the victims’ arms backwards while other men held guns to the back of their heads. The last photo I saw, they were all lying dead in pools of blood. The girl in front – the top part of her head from about the nose up – gone.
I looked up a very old friend of mine that I haven‘t heard from in years and learned that she’s become a first through fifth grade school teacher. I was proud of her… until I saw the photo she posted of herself. In it, she‘s sitting at her school office desk with a HUGE gold framed painting of Mao and she’s smiling at the camera playing with a Mao bobble-head. She never was the smartest of my childhood friends, but I was still very disappointed with her despite her successfully landing the job she wanted. She never cared about politics before college. She was more of a “girls just want to have fun” type. Liberal schools seem to have mastered the art of brainwashing children and young adults.

Alan West is 100% percent correct. Muslims engaged in Jihad with the goal of destroying the Constitution and my Bill of Rights are enemy combatants and not protected by the cloak of citizenship. They are traitors and deserve the punishment they get.
Beck, as usual displays an infantile understanding of the enemy we confront. Muslims engaged in Jihad have destroyed more of Western Civilization than any dictator spawned of Marxist thought.
The muslims are not here to participate in our culture, they are here to replace it with Islam and Sharia. They have repeatedly stated this goal and have done everything they can to achieve it. And they depend upon naive fools like Beck and yourself to help them achieve their goals.

You better hope that it passes. WE must not allow the enemy to conceal themselves in the cloak of citizenship. What the muslims are doing is war. You do not recognize it as such because you have been deceived. Jihad warfare is not born of the Western mind and does not adhere to Western sensibilities.
I have repeatedly urged muslims to self-deport since 9/11. Indeed, they number have only increased on our soil and their demands have increased. And their Jihad attacks have increased. After 9/11, there was a dawa campaign of epic proportions involving even our President. And were again deceived and told to look away, that Islam is Peace.
I would suggest you do a crash course in Islamic Jihad.

Glenn complains that this bill treats the entire country as a battlefield. Don’t the jihadists already do that? Unless this bill strips us of our rights to protest against abuse of this law or to vote out the politicians who allow such abuse I see little threat in it. The only real remedy we have against an abusive government is the ability to vote it out, to counter it politically in some way, political power against political power. Posted on December 13, 2011 at 7:13pmSpies caught in wartime, even in this country, even American citizens working for the enemy, didn’t get trials. Check with history. All rights have exceptions, and there is no God-given right to a trial. It’s “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness”, or “property”. But even those rights have exceptions. If you murder some one the governmnet has the right to take your liberty and even your life.

Report Post »1st this is The War On Terror, it going to be like the War on Drugs, War on Poverity, etc. Which means it’s never ending. So from now on the Bill of Rights is null and void?
2nd I think you should read the 4th. 5th, 6th, and 7th Amendment of the Bill of Rights.
3rd Maybe just maybe the threat of terror is not as great as been portrayed.
4th “They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety.”

Posted on December 14, 2011 at 2:45am1st, whatever the government chooses to call it, this is a war on radical Islam, and unlike the War on Drugs or the War on Poverty it is an actual war that invovles defense against people trying to kill us and destroy our nation. We might have done better with the War on Drugs if we treated it as a war and killed the dealers and the cartels like we did the Japs and Nazis in WWII.
2nd, I’ve read them. So?
3rd, 9/11, 7/7 in London, the bombing in Madrid, the attack in Mumbai, the numerous attempts since, show that the threat is still real and will be while our culture is perceived as weak toward Islam. We have been at war with them for 1300 years. Until there is a world wide religious movement within Islam repudiating the conquest of the world and the rule of a caliphate we will not be safe treating Muslims as safe. But if we are going to allow Muslims to live among us then we will have to strengthen our watchfulness.
4th, that quote is not in our Constitution or Decalaration of Independence. It has no divine authority, and Presidents and Congresses and the Courts have rightly regarded it as but one principle to guide us in the affairs of government.

Report Post »I see you have almost found the answer to the War on Drugs. You must kill all the users too. That’s what China does. Very affective, but unAmerican.
On the War on Terror, Maybe you should be selling the same, I mean 1300 years of War is a little much. If this War goes on much longer we should all be holding hands with the terrorist and singing campfire songs. “ They Hate Us Because We Are Free” The bottom line here is if your right, then the Terrorist have all ready won. They have incited terror, making us surrender our Freedoms and Liberties and Bankrupting us at the same time.

Posted on December 15, 2011 at 8:31am“They have incited terror, making us surrender our Freedoms and Liberties and Bankrupting us at the same time.”
As far as surrendering our freedom, if this intended law is administered in the same fashion as the TSA screening procedures I would be inclined to agree. But as for bankrupting us, the War on Treror didn’t do that. Ron Paul keeps going on about how we can’t afford these wars. It‘s the entitlements back home that we can’t afford. We are already broke because of them, so of course we can’t afford anything else, but just coming home isn’t going to balance the checkbook.
As for the 1300 year “war” we have had with Islam, we had 275 years of peace since we showed our military superiority against the Turks at Vienna Septempber 12, 1683. They had been in defeat ever since, with monor attempts at fundamentalist uprisings like in Sudan under the Mahti in late 18th cent. It is the wealth that they have from oil, but mostly our loss of confidence in defending intellectually our own culture that has provided the radical Muslims’ opening for resuming the war. The smell our fear and doubt of ourselves. they sense our weakness and this convinces them they will wictorious if they fight us. We need to show them that we ARE willing to put them back in the stone age. Only this will encourage the moderate take charge in the Muslim world again.

Posted on December 12, 2011 at 10:00pmIn the mid-1980′s I was on a business trip to Abu Dhabi. I read in the local paper where the day before a couple had been convicted of adultry and were immediately hauled from the courtroom and stoned to death.
I am opposed to stupid laws, and certainly being imprisoned or killed for speaking out against the government, each country has a right to self rule to a point.
I can tell you this. I taught a training class for a week and read the newspaper article to start the program. The group was young men 28-35 and I guarantee you all of them behaved themselves their entire time they were in the country.

Report Post »This is sick, in my opinion.
China also executes a lot of prisoners due to their burgeoning market of harvesting human organs for transplants.
They also have a nifty ‘death van’ to go into rural areas, grab these people and execute them on the way to the hospital to have their organs harvested.
I can understand this for Violent crimes, but not dealing drugs, especially marijuana.
They worst drug pushers in the world, of the most damaging and destructive drugs, are the Big Pharmaceutical companies, just one of the many tentacles of the global elite.
Also responsible for the problem are greedy, nefarious doctors, lobbyists and the global elite minions in washington D.C.

Just finished reading “The Forsaken”. Great read about the Americans who bought the communist lies in the 20‘s and 30’s and went to Russia because it was the new Land of Milk and Honey. They didn’t escape. Most were either shot or worked to death. That has been the way of Communist China as well. Evil and madness needs to be exposed to the Light in order to vanquish it.
