Ratings Game Confirmed? Aide Says Trump to Make Prez-Themed Announcement on ‘Apprentice’ Finale

Since the beginning of Donald Trump’s incessant birther talk, daily media appearances, and flirting with a 2012 presidential run, many have speculated that it was all a ploy to boost ratings for his NBC show “Celebrity Apprentice.” Well, the latest news today will do nothing to stifle that speculation. According to a Trump aide, The Donald will make an announcement about his presidential intentions during the show’s finale in May.
CNN reports:
On the final episode of the popular TV reality show, Trump “plans to give an announcement date” for his decision on whether he’ll make a formal bid for the Republican presidential nomination, senior Trump adviser Michael Cohen confirms to CNN.
The season finale of “Celebrity Apprentice” airs May 15. In numerous interviews with CNN and other organizations, Trump has said he’ll make a decision on a White House bid by June.
According to Newsmax, the announcement will be about a press conference a few days later:
If you wonder whether Donald Trump is serious about running for president, tune in to the finale of “The Celebrity Apprentice” on May 15.
Trump plans to say on the NBC show that he will be holding a press conference a few days after the May 15th show. At that press conference in the Trump Tower in New York, Trump will be announcing his candidacy for the presidency.
Even if Trump decides to run for president, this all still seems like a media ploy. Doug Mataconis of the site Outside the Beltway writes:
Of course, the cynical among us will say that leaks like this fit in perfectly with the theory that Trump’s flirtation with Presidential politics is really all about boosting his own brand, and the ratings of his television show. That certainly is a plausible theory.
But Ronald Kessler isn’t convinced:
Even then, many will snicker that it’s all a publicity stunt. But that defies the facts and common sense.
Of all the people on the planet, Donald Trump is the last person who needs more publicity. And if he is riding a groundswell of support, why would he—or anyone else—decide not to run?
Since writing the first story in January to report that Trump will definitely run, I have been amazed at how much the idea of a Trump presidency is catching on across the political spectrum. As I wrote in my story, Don’t Underestimate Donald Trump for President, he can be outrageous and boastful. But when it comes to a successful run at the presidency, don’t count him out.
What do you think?

Posted on April 14, 2011 at 1:06pmDonald Trump doesn’t need any of this.
His life is bigger and better, than any politician’s life, including President.
That is why, no one can skeptically, question his motive.
He loves this country, it is heartbreaking for all of us to see her decline,
in clarity, Trump is just a beloved citizen, a hard worker paving his own way,
in a country, once full of opportunity.
I believe him, when he says he wishes others were doing their jobs,
retaining glory and strength.
His recognition & desire to “pay it forward”, by commanding our country
is sincere….a gift horse, to be taken seriously.
I have a feeling, our Founding Fathers are smiling at the thought.
Off with the politicians, lawyers, and academia who steer power, in careless, endless fog.
Trump will surround himself with the best of competent people-
he will have it no other way.
Unlike the present Idiot-in-Chief”.
Trump will not let anyone make him look bad….hence, America will be better!
He will not allow the leaders of Mexico, China and others to lecture America.
He will regain Israel’s faith. as one of our strongest allies.
He will not suffer fools, gladly or at all……those who don’t like us, will RESPECT us !
He will not bow or apologize to anyone.
This is the chance to board a new GloryTrain, don’t let it pass you by
or derail it, without careful consideration…this is PURE hope & change…make it happen !
America’s leaders need Strength and Wisdom…“Presidential Timber”.
Donald, please bring the strong, wise & admirable Allen West on board, as V.P.-
he will take the reins, from you, after eight years and guarantee America’s revival !

Posted on April 14, 2011 at 12:28pmWhy will people vote for Trump? 1. He is politically incorrect (meaning he has balls, morality, care for America to tell the truth). 2. He is not a professional politician or an attorney (meaning he is not a liar and we can believe he says what he means. 3. He is a businessman ( he knows how to be responsible with money and will try to keep this country out of bankrupcy). 4. He has his own money (he won’t have to turn into a political whore like everyone else in Washington. 5. He has a birth certificate (so he is legal to run as our president, unlike the muslim imposter in the White House). 6. I almost think it is pointless to attempt to convince anyone, any further, that Trump is not a Conservative champion. full force, as he will during the campaign.
Yes..there is a handful of TEA candidates we truly love and

and literally hand the election to the Republicans!!!
Yes, that could very well happen. We will all gauge this over time.

Soetoro has the unions in his pocket, all dem pols do. the black voting bloc won’t desert Soetoro come hell or highwater. If they did not do so for Hillary, they surely won’t do so for Trump.
You must remember, lemmings, white and black (the plantation classes) have been trained/taught to hate rich people. The marxists told them rich people got rich by stealing from them. (the idiots believe that line)
Trump is big business. Lemmings have also been trained/taught to hate big business.
This leaves the independents, which will split 3 ways the republican nom,Soetoro and the indy Trump should this plays out.
Under this scenario, IMO, Soetoro wins another 4.

I liked Perot at first, but he was just down-home-and-cornpone, I soon decided–nothing more than euphemisms and trite little slogans, but no solutions.
Trump will be the same thing. He’s a businessman, not a politician. While it’s trendy among some to go wild with the birther meme, that focus offers nothing for the future. I’m largely disinclined to listen to Trump, so I have no idea if he has a solution to any of the problems facing the country. Far as I know, he has offered nothing. And, if somehow elected, will his bully-boy tactics get anything through Congress if it’s hostile to him? Trump is no Reagan, who can sway much of public opinion to his side. He’s also no LBJ, who was in the Senate long enough and had the wherewithal to twist enough arms to pass his agenda.
Trump would only siphon votes from whoever the Pubs put up. But if somehow, magically his being elected President would be a bigger mistake than Obow.

Given the choice between Obama and Trump I’d vote for Trump as would most of the people here. That is not important. This is what is important: who would America vote for? Not Mr. Trump. Successful businessman, yes. Media star, yes. President of the United States, no. At least not in today’s America. The world is changing so quickly that it might happen in the future. Miracles do happen.
Regarding Reagan, there is a very important difference between him and Trump: political experience as Governor of California. Many people here express the opinion that it’s time for someone from outside of politics. I agree, but the American voter will still see this as politics and elect a former governor to be president. They will not “hire” Donald Trump unless a miracle occurs.

He has more chance of uniting America than Obama ever could. He has great name recognition and he is serious and he is scaring the socialist and Obama to death because he is a real threat. Who will vote for meek and mild Pawlently? Or rino Romney? Not independants. Trump needs to be the REPUBLICAN nominee- no third party or we are doomed with 4 more years of commies ruining our country. He has donated to both parties in the past because he is a business man and it was in his best interest. With an anti business administration he will do everything to change that and create jobs and a strong economy. He is the ANTI SOROS. We need him!!!!

Posted on April 14, 2011 at 4:54pmThe Trumpster is not your typical politician who always wants straddle the line and never take a real firm stand on anything……. He says it like it is…….. He may screw up at times, but he’s made more money than all those idiots combined in DC………. I say, if you like where all these typical politicians have got us so far, then the Donald is not for you……
Trump will piss a lot of people off “Day One” if elected…
The first thing he’s going to do is to confiscate One Trillion Dollars of oil from Iraq for services rendered…
Then he’s going to get real nasty with China…………… That’s for starters
IMHO
