Ratings Hit: Palin‘s ’Alaska’ May Return for Second Season

The television popularity of Alaska’s “mama grizzly” former governor may mean a second season for TLC’s “Sarah Palin’s Alaska.”
According to PopEater, the rugged outdoors and folksy charm of the Palin family have been “such a huge hit” for TLC that the network is working to get the former governor to sign up for season two.
Last week’s episode — guest-staring reality TV diva Kate Gosselin and her eight kids — drew more than 3 million viewers for the cable network. “That is more people than are watching Bravo‘s ’Housewives’ series or most other cable shows,” PopEater reports. “For sure the network is doing everything it possibly can to convince Sarah to do another season, but at the end of the day it looks like it will all come down to money.”
“Sarah knows to strike when the iron is hot and started talking about season two right after the show debuted to huge numbers,” a friend of Palin’s reportedly told PopEater. “She knows that celebrities get millions of dollar for each episode of their shows and thinks she’s worth it too.”

Posted on December 21, 2010 at 7:51pmGo Sarah! And please consider having more guest celebrities. We’d love to see you take up Bill Oreilly on his offer to come up for a trip. And you might also consider showing off how the oil companies protect the environment. I see nothing wrong with you using the show to make political points for yourself, your state, and conservative family values. Ya know, those values shared by the vast majoriy of Americans

Posted on December 23, 2010 at 10:25pmyou betcha. me too, would love to see conservatives, as well as liberals. let’s not forget all her fans(and some of the naysayers), they should get to spend some vacation time with her in Alaska as well. she’s a great ambassador for the state. actually she’s the only one i know. but that state is still a little too liberal, how the hell did they re-elect Murkowski? tells me it not all peaches and cream like it is in Texas.

Posted on December 21, 2010 at 7:48pmThe more the liberal media tries to hurt or discredit Sarah Palin, the more popular and well known this woman becomes. An ex-Governor who fought corrupt and won, who is a Patriot, and is a fine woman who loves country, family, and God. Keep it going MSNBC, do al the cheap shots you want but Sarah Palin’s goodness is shining while you boneheads creep lower and lower in the public eye. Sarah Palin is coming to Washington DC one day, and these DC elite are scared to death of her. Hooay for Sarah. Sarah Palin 2012!!

Posted on December 21, 2010 at 7:44pmSarah dumb? ….only like a fox! McCain’s staff allowed the far left media to define Sarah and the rest of the country went along…she’s taken it out of their hands now, and is defining herself…giving the American people a chance to see what it’s like to be an Alaskan…and that helps them understand the independence it takes to be chosen to lead them too. I know you’ll hear the old guard Repubs lamenting this move on her part…but, they were clueless in 2008 and they are clueless now. She’s won respect for her spirit, an undestanding of her background and family, and admiration from many Americans because they can see her in her own element and realize she’s genuine…the real deal! Brilliant move Sarah. Congratulations.

Posted on December 21, 2010 at 8:08pmI think youre using that fuzzy math. Let’s see 5 weeks(so far) vs 6 years, which one is longer? As for your, and number of others’, contention that this “burns liberals rear ends”, why would it bother liberals that 3 million senior citizens(ave. age of viewer is 57) spend their Sunday evenings watching Sarah Palin? And just to put these ratings into context, South Park (which I know you all love) averages over 3 millions viewers so I guess that means America loves Cartman as much as Palin.

Harvesting Salmon by hand. Catching and processing Halibut. ATV riding in the mud. Shooting clay pigeons (some thrown by hand). Hiking. Camping in tents and shooting Caribou. Dogsledding. Camping in the rain. Etc.
These are Millionaire activities?
These are rugged manly and healthy activities that liberal folks and Obamaites don’t understand. And sneer at frankly. Money has nothing to do with it. All one has to do is compare Sarah (America) with Kate (Hollywood liberal Obama type) to see the illustration.

Posted on December 21, 2010 at 7:30pmI love her books and I dig the show. At the same time, I hope it does not minimize her value to lead and run for office. Obama can write two books and still be fine for president, Obama can turn up on cable shows and comedy shows and still be viable. Palin has a show that is real and helps her state, she is villified, Palin can write two best sellers..and they call her a sell out. The standards are not the same for a conservative woman vs a lib man. Palin out ranks Obama in all areas but gets hammered for doing, better, the same things that he does.

Her ever present wide, black belt might serve double duty – to anchor her to the side of the boat, otherwise she might fall into the ice-cold water!
Besides, where would the 15 or so Michelle assistants sit and sleep?
