Raw Video: Anthony Weiner’s Wife Appears in Abu Dhabi Traveling With Hillary Clinton

As Rep. Anthony Weiner tries to survive a tawdry online sex scandal, his wife, Huma Abedin, was traveling with Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. Abedin is Clinton’s deputy chief of staff, and Wednesday, officials said that Abedin is pregnant. (June 8)

Politico:

Anthony Weiner’s wife, Huma Abedin, is reported to have sought advice from her boss and friend, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, in the aftermath of the New York Democrat’s admission that he had online sexually charged relationships with other women even after they married last year.

The Wall Street Journal reports an initial talk between Abedin and Clinton took place early Monday afternoon, after Weiner told his wife the truth about his behavior that morning, but the paper doesn’t provide details.

Abedin – who initially believed her husband’s story that he had been hacked – reacted to Weiner’s revelation with anger and sadness, but stayed composed, a source told The Journal.

    I do however, agree that he should not remain in office. He compromised himself, his family and his country to many opportunists out there. Some things you just can’t trust again, it would be like entrusting my e mail account to a reporter, gobby one at that!.

    I am sure in the wiener household there are many things to sort out, much to make amends for and healing to be searched for. In all, lets not forget they are human, right or wrong, To me Huma is a lady of dignity, she is weathering this storm with a touch of class, preserving dignity and privacy i have no doubt that lady is as tempered steel. From the photo’s i have seen of them together in the press, she obviously adores him. Lets hope that, some time in the future he will come to realise what a gem she really is and what a serious, serious mistake he has made, not to mention foolish beyond belief!.

    As far as i can gather, there is a new life on the horizon. New life!. From a loving union. Despite what we (also human) might feel about him and this whole situation, don’t you think these two need a chance to sort it out?, don’t you think the child (an innocent) deserves the chance to be born in peace, a future peace (again, innocent) and, no matter how one might feel about Huma‘s chances of finally reigning in a ’wild’ one, don’t you think she and her unborn child deserve support? as a fellow human being!.

    It would be a sad day indeed if we couldn’t excersise our unique ability to show compassion and forgiveness, support and an understanding of human fraility to those who have temporarily shown themselves to be clowns, foolish, arrogant, prideful and, easily complimented into compromising himself. He was an idiot. Lets hope he is an idiot who has learned a valuab

      I do however, agree that because he compromised his security, family security and, the countries security on a seeming whim of sexual gratification, he should resigne!, or be fired!, thats one area you DONT compromise on.

      As a couple, i do hope they can work it out and he learns from this.

    How nice of the Press, trying to gauge her reaction. If I was her, I wouldn’t be asking Hillary for any advice. Hillary stayed with Bill only because he was President, and she hoped to gain power from that fact.

    Weiner is a just an US Congressman and has to be re-elected every two years. There isn’t any power to be garnered by Huma, since her husband will soon be gone from the political scene. He’ll be a joke from now on, and it‘s no wonder why the Democrats haven’t produced any kind of budget for the USA. They’re just too busy tweeting and twittering their bits and pieces to the Internet.

      I’ve just gotten an email from someone who stays on top of everything of importance. I get the impression that Weiner is about to be history — in the news and in New York. He is no longer effective as the left-leaner Weiner, champion of the Progressive cause. Seems that his district is a bit embarrassed by his private-now-public Battle of the Bulge. He has become a statistic, a tick mark in the list of morally deficient politicians.

      No, I’m waiting for bigger and tastier fish to go belly-up in the sea of corruption in D.C. “The natives are restless,” and rightly so. It is a great time to be an attorney right now! I’m wondering if we shall be dancing in the streets soon.

      Absolutely it is a distraction. It would be nice to get him out of office, but New Yorkers don’t have much in the way of sense. They’ll probably just elect someone worse. Still, it’s good to put the heat on the pervert.

      Yes, I with you on this. I’m not a bigot (I don’t think – there might be some subconscious bigotry), but I am deeply distrustful of muslims.

      That said, I remember the heart-breaking video of a Christian man and muslim woman who were trying to escape Bosnia so that they could marry (with the approval of both sets of parents). A safe pass was obtained from the warring snipers, and they made their break down a street previously swept by sniper fire.

      They were both shot down. They did not die instantly, but crawled together on the road and died holding each other.

      And this may be my subconcious bigotry; I think it most likely that it was the muslims that broke their word.

      And as Weiner himself has admitted in so many words; he is a liar and virtual philanderer of long standing – certainly prior to his marraiage – and his wife appears to accept this (again according to Weiner).

      So why, as a muslim, did she knowingly marry a Jew, a cheat, a liar, and, as events have shown, a coward? Are her left-wing sensibilities more important to her than a happy marriage – thus making this a marriage of convenience?

      I find that hard to believe as they are having a baby. Perhaps the best thing for all concerned is for Weiner to get out of politics and stay out.

      We have a Jew, a condescending one at that, known liar, married to a muslim. Hmmm?! Did she denounce her so-called religion or did he convert to islam?
