Ever Think You’d Hear the Liberty Bell at Dallas Cowboys Stadium? Here’s a Preview

Glenn Beck Rings the Liberty Bell at Dallas Cowboys Stadium for Restoring Love

Everyone familiar with Glenn Beck knows he has a passion for our nation’s history.  From his “Founders’ Fridays” to his partnership with men like David Barton, Beck’s audience undeniably knows more than the average person about the history of our country.

Now, the audience is getting a chance to see the nation’s most memorable artifacts– first-hand.

“This afternoon at Dallas Cowboys Stadium, a few armored cars are going to be arriving with some extraordinarily valuable and rare– priceless, priceless artifacts– as we do a rehearsal later this afternoon, and we have to get these artifacts in…” Beck teased.

“The security for the artifacts [is] much higher than the security for anything else around here,” he continued.  “One of the things that was sent Federal Express is the Liberty Bell, the copy of the Liberty Bell from Philadelphia,” Beck said.

Watch as the bell is rung from the field, and hear the echo as it reverberates through Dallas Cowboys Stadium (skip to the end of the clip to just hear the bell).

And let’s just be clear.  This isn’t the cracked Liberty Bell that everyone knows, but it is no makeshift imitation.

“This is the sister Liberty Bell,” Beck reiterated, made by the same people who made the original.

“It’s the same bell,” Beck said, and it was shipped to Dallas for the opening of Restoring Love.

“This is…I kind of don’t even know how much this thing costs… one of the priceless artifacts that you’re going to be seeing…there’s about $30 million dollars worth of artifacts– if you could even put a price on some of them– that are going to be here.”

After discussing the irony that today, you can “FedEx” the Liberty Bell, Beck gave a little more information on what’s to come.

But first, here’s another peek at the priceless artifact:

“This is one of the ways that the show is beginning tomorrow, at the end of [a] Star Spangled Banner which I think will rival Whitney Houston’s…this is done by Alex Boye, who has wept every time– he can‘t get it right because he’s crying all the way through it, because he just became a U.S. citizen.”

Alex Boye is the same man who flew half-way around the world to perform at Restoring Courage– without making any arrangements beforehand– and miraculously ended up singing at a place where Beck just happened to be the day before the event.

“All night I was tossing and turning thinking: this guy has got to [end] the event in Jerusalem.  I meet him an hour before– there’s no rehearsal, there’s nothing,” Beck explained.  “Him and his piano player walk out– they had not rehearsed… And he told me the story [about] how ten years ago, he was trying out for a Broadway play… and he used this song, and he knew he had the gig, and he didn’t get it.”

Beck continued:  “He’s walking down the street, and he was praying to God, and he was kind of pissed at Him.  He’s like: ‘I know You told me to prepare this song, and I thought I had this gig.’ And he said he was overwhelmed by the Spirit, [saying]: “not for this, this is to be kept ready-to-go because it will be performed at the end of a very special event.’”

That event was Restoring Courage, and now the same man– having just received his U.S. citizenship– is performing at Restoring Love.

“At the end of his song, the Liberty Bell is being rung … and that’s just the first five minutes.”

Obama said the Muslim evening call to prayer was the sweetest sound he knows.
    To me;
This replica and the sound it represents resonates in my soul and rings with every beat of my heart.
It is uplifting and rejuvenating and fills me with a charge of responsibility for embracing my inherent God given rights.

It brought tears to my eyes also. It was good but nobody will ever beat Whitney Houston,s. Not in my lifetime anyway.

Beautiful! Thanks Glenn! Freedom is ringing! That sound gives goosebumps to freedom lovers, and makes Progressives tremble in fear.

Some people study history. Others facilitate the understanding of history. And then there are those that just completely rewrite and extort it for their own personal, finacial gain. And for Glenn Beck, the First Ammendment to the U.S. Co…nstitution makes that all possible. But just so we are clear, Glenn Beck will NOT be ringing the Liberty Bell in Dallas. It is safe and sound here in Philadelphia. He will not even be ringing the “sister” Liberty Bell. Those are also still here in Philadelphia (Germantown and Villanova.) If Glenn Beck’s bell was made at White Chapel then it is not made by the same people as the Liberty Bell. John Pass and John Stow made the Liberty Bell, here in Philadelphia (with metal that came from White Chapel). Maybe it is more appropriate to call this the evil, twisted step sister bell. And that doesn’t make it the same thing!

Clearly… A Demitasse would fit your head like a sombrero. How do you manage to miss the significance of a replica being there? You let hate blind your view of Liberty.

Amazing. It’s indescribable. It’s-It’s… how to say… No words… tears in my eyes… nose stinging and everything. I was at the rally in DC at the Lincoln Memorial and witnessed the flock of geese flying in formation at eye-level over the reflecting pool toward the stage at start of the program. Not sure about everyone else but I felt the presence of God there watching and I hope smiling. This is powerful. Thank you Glenn and everyone for making this possible

I wouldn’t know the difference between a Canada goose or any other kind of goose but is really was as if as if on cue. They weere honking and everything as if to tell us sorry the park service refused to allow a fighter flyover but we are still free to fly wherever we choose. Welcome to our park.

I’ve been listening to the Glenn Beck Show since he startedd here in Tampa with 970WFLA. From the beginnng you could hear, and see that his show was on its way to stardom. The main reason for this is because is bull-proof, it tells the truth, and liberals can’t fathom how Glenn is capable of taking the rabbit out of hat without touching the hat. If you ever get the chance to listen to Glenn Beck you will immediately sense somebody with very, very religious convictions, and one of the most truthfull deliveries on talk radio which is very, very rare today. So, Glenn keep it up you have another two or three hundred years of radio left in you. Thanks.

The Liberty Bell should be put into storage like our rights we’ve allowed to be taken away from us. I’m ashamed of most Americans these days.

So sad true sounds…oh ye of little faith. God rewards those who diligently seek Him, and not meaning to sound judgmental, Glenn has been called by a higher power…Glenn didn’t do this…Our heavenly father did this to awaken us in these desperate times. What, God call an alcoholic Mormon to bring light to a dark and perverse nation? Paul was an enforcer against Christians, and look what God did with him…think about it…what can God do with you?

“Glenn does things first class doesn’t he?”. Yeah how much of this will be passed on to the tax payers when this stunt fails miserably?
Rent out Cowboy’s stadium and ¼ of the people show as expected. File bankruptcy for your company but keep your wealth and run like hell!

That’s pretty awesome and he should send the thing around the country on a tour like they do with the Vietnam Wall replica, that thing comes around our area in Chicago regularly it seems, this could be the same.

Most kids will never see the real one, I have back thanks to me &my sibling’s parents in 1976 seriously for the bicentennial while living in upstate New Jersey, but today I‘m betting most don’t get the chance.
