‘Don’t Fall for the Jedi Mind Trick’: Beck Takes on Progressives‘ New ’Little Blue Book’

On Monday The Blaze explained the contents of the “Little Blue Book,“ a volume that is being hailed a ”game-changer“ and a ”precious gift” to progressives. Written by U.C. Berkeley professor George Lakoff, a Democratic strategist, and graduate student Elizabeth Wehling, the book is already receiving accolades from the likes of Van Jones and George Soros alike, validating the content’s obvious progressive-chops.
Blogger Zombie provided the following explanation of the book [emphasis added]:
Before you even open the book, its sly self-referential gamesmanship leaps off the cover: the very title itself is a wink-wink-nudge-nudge ironic-but-not-really reference to Chairman Mao’s Little Red Book, the kind of hidden-meaning secret message that progressives like to call a “dog whistle,” although they insist that only conservatives resort to such underhanded gambits.
On Tuesday evening, Glenn Beck delved into the contents of the newest version of this progressive manual, the “little blue book.” He also explained how progressives are co-opting conservatives’ multi-step plan of action that includes committing, activating and uplifting our culture.
After discussing the book’s “rave” reviews, Beck compared Lakoff‘s little blue progressive handbook with Mao’s little red one.
“They are trying to manipulate the way we think,” he said.

What it boils down to to me is Beck believes we should have a smaller more limited Federal Government. I believe that as well. So I like the guy. Plus, he is entertaining. The more the Feds take from us, the more they will take in the future. I for one believe that I do know how to best take care of myself and my family and do not need the govt telling me how to do so. Hopefully Obamacare is not the slippery slope it seems to be, and hopefully we all are not tricked into thinking losing freedom is beneficial.

Posted on July 11, 2012 at 6:45amBought the book yesterday to read for myself and see what it had to say. Haven’t finished yet though it is not a large book, so any analysis is premature. However, right from the get-go the author makes the same mistake in his thesis as looney lefties have been making since the idiocy began as an organized movement. Making that mistake leads me to believe that his entire book will not bring anything new to the table.
Report Post »The mistake is that he believes the reason people reject the message of looney left is that they don’t understand the looney left message and thus it needs to be expressed more clearly. They don‘t comprehend that people reject their message because the DO understand the message and don’t want any part of it.
When the thesis is wrong the conclusion is going to be wrong, and what reading in the book I managed to accomplish last night show the author is woefully ignorant of reality (as are all looney lefties), and of history. An example? He claims that conservative language has evolved in the last 3 or 4 decades. He seems utterly unaware that conservative language and ideas (work to eat) go back to our ancestors coming down from the trees, getting up off our knuckles, and developing the reason ability we have, and that is a tad longer than a couple of decades ago.
Looney left theory came along shortly after conservative thought, and it occurred when some lazy and corrupt individuals decided it was easier to steal their sustenance than to work for it.

What happened to this country? Where did these people come from?” I was there from the beginning and, Brother Winston, GB researched deeply as did his staff, and found out the location of the progressive movement, traced its history and its association with socialism, communism, maoism, Soros, 501C3 orgs that promote communism in America, radical islamists, and finally into the Whitehouse itself. Your secret is out and we know who you are. Every effort will be made to remove you from public offices and out of the political arena. You are free to make a living on your own merit instead of out of the public trough. Any Democrat or Republican holding progressive beliefs and holding office requires a firm vote out of office.

Look how they play on the ideals and images of America, our nation is of the idea of freedom, liberty and justice for all; yet that is what the progressives seek to manipulate into their insanity of social justice guaranteed by a domineering and all controlling government. They pass off the image of the government beign ‘there for you’ to ‘set you free.’
In working these ideas and ideals; they seek control of them, thus in success, if we let them do so, from the top down and bottom up; remember that this war we are in with the progressives is more than one of material means, it is ultimately at the base of IDEALS and IMAGES, of PRINCIPLES, and BELIEFS. It is in the simplest context: FREEDOM OR SERFDOM.

To live a life that is only out to deceive others is a heart after Satan himself. I know we all have evil that is part of us. But to completely embrace it so that you can have your own will is just pure evil. I would say that it maybe one of the most evil things a person could strive to do. Most sin condemns ones own self. To deceive others into their own demise is the most evil thing anyone could strive to do. Worse the rapist, murders, whore monger and thieves. I think blaspheming the holy spirit is not so much speaking against God’s truth, but rather speaking against God’s truth willingly, while knowing the real truth.
