‘Real News’ at the RNC with Matt Kibbe: Where Does the Tea Party Stand in 2012?

Stay up-to-date on all the convention news by visiting TheBlaze’s dedicated RNC page. Also find out how you can watch exclusive, live reports and analysis on TheBlaze TV. Get both here.

TheBlaze will be publishing an extensive report Tuesday thats asks if the convention this year in Tampa is the place where the GOP will fully embrace the Tea Party–a movement at the center of an electoral rebound for the party over the last three years. The report by TheBlaze reporter Mytheos Holt attempts to pinpoint the definition of what makes a politician a “Tea Party” leader and what constitutes as “the establishment,” in order to have a clearer understanding of the movement‘s influence at this year’s Republican National Convention. Matt Kibbe of FreedomWorks joined S.E. Cupp and Will Cain in Tampa, and the rest of the “Real News From The Blaze” panel in Texas via satellite, to discuss the Tea Party’s influence at the convention thus far, and where to expect to see the organization’s message resonate through the week.

The debate on Tea Party influence has already gotten off to a hot start as Ron Paul supporters took to the floor Monday immediately after the convention was convened, but only briefly before it was declared in recess due to Hurricane Isaac-related postponements, to declare their dissatisfaction with the presumed Republican nominee Mitt Romney. The spectacle came 24 hours after close to 10,000 Paul fans rallied in the Sun Dome Sunday night to express their love for Paul and frustration with the GOP.

Only fifteen minutes away from PaulCon, fellow former Republican presidential hopefuls Rep. Michele Bachmann and Herman Cain were holding a “Tea Party Unity” rally of their own Sunday night with 1,200 activists. While the L.A. Times reports activists at the event, as well as Bachmann and Cain, said they had “already won” by forcing the Republican Party to adhere closely to the activists’ goals of small government and reduced taxes, the questioned has been raised whether the fractioned off event away from the national party convention is a good thing for the GOP.

Such public insubordination to the national party has led some to ask if 2012 will be the last year that the GOP “establishment” is represented atop the presidential ticket? Furthermore, is the assumption that presumtive vice presidential nominee Paul Ryan is a representative of the Tea Party accurate? Watch a clip from Monday’s show where Kibbe and the “Real News” panel debate these developments regarding the Tea Party and GOP:

~ Paul Ryan is a Tea Party MIRAGE!

Paul Ryan’s voting record: Big-spending conservatism

Paul Ryan rose to the top of the political ranks on his reputation as a conservative budget hawk. But his voting record shows him to be far from a pure fiscal conservative.

Ryan voted for the $700 billion bank bailout, the biggest Medicare expansion in U.S. history, a massive highway bill that included the “Bridge to Nowhere” and other big-ticket priorities when George W. Bush was president — going to bat for a high-spending GOP agenda that the tea party base now looks on with regret.

Where does the Tea Party stand in 2012?
The real Tea Party are those who want a return to a Constitutionally confined size of government. That definition does not define the current Republican party. The real Tea Party demands the character quality of honesty.
Honesty is absent from the RNC and the Romney campaign. They as of last week, the RNC, with full knowledge of the Romney campaign, set in place “rules changes” that will effectively strip all grassroots efforts of a free and open vote for states delegates. Does that sound honest to you? In Ben Swann’s interview with both Romney and Ryan, you can hear with your own ears see with your own eyes::

Where will the Tea Party be in 2012?
    Everywhere.

First of all, the Tea Party has already sold out the core values of most of its supporters. To be perfectly honest about it, the Tea Party is a mainstream liberal (not conservative) organization, only to the right of the extreme leftism of the national Democratic Party. The Tea Party stands for…what? (1.) Defending Zionism/Israel to the last drop of American blood, (2.) allowing this country to turn into Northern Mexico via open borders, and (3.) backing Geo. W(orst ever) Bush‘s senseless ’wars without reason’ in Iraq and Afghanistan (and soon, Iran).
As John Kerry asked of W.‘s positions in 2004’s presidential debates: What is “conservative” about any of this?

Their SOLE OBJECTIVE IS PRESERVATION OF THE ESTABLISHMENT REPUBLICAN MONSTER and to CRUSH ANY, ANY efforts to strengthen third parties. FAKE! CO-OPTERS. Same with Tea Party Express, Tea Party Patriots and Tea Party Nation.

The REAL Constitutional Libertarian Tea Parties are LOCAL, DECENTRALIZED, and FIERCELY UNATTACHED TO R‘s or D’s. They simmered with the republican/democrat AMNESTY and boiled over with the Bush/Obama 08 ILLEGAL TARP/Bailout/Stimulus – THAT ROMNEY SUPPORTED AND RYAN VOTED FOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I’m all for the Tea Party, but Michelle didn’t get the nomination. So, I’m with Romney. Voting for anyone other than Romney would be idiotic. Romney wasn’t my choice in the primaries, but he’s our only hope now. No one could be worse than Obama, except Rosanne, the insane pro-guillotine Socialist. Take away the guns and bring back the guillotine… and I thought Obama and his drones were nuts.
A couple of little girls were screaming, “Obama!” today. Little girls who are too young to have jobs and obviously know nothing about life, taxes, paying bills, raising a family, etc… I think that’s what Democrats basically are. Snooki, Kardashian, Hilton, Gaga… The cult of celebrity. Democrats and kids love the crazy and the famous for no other reason than that’s what they were told to do.

    Don’t Tread On Me!

Glenn, Sean, Rush, RNC, etc., aiding and abetting national security threat and vote fraud by colluding in historic cover-up of Obama ineligibility.

“Obama is ineligible for multiple reasons:
    1. Not a ‘natural born citizen’ as required by Article 2, Section 1.
    2. Born a British citizen pursuant to British Nationality Act of 1948.
    3. Law enforcement has concluded his birth certificate is fraudulent.”[1]

“We hold these truths to be self-evident, … that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, … Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.” – Declaration of Independence

Obama routinely omits ‘Creator’ when speaking of these rights. No ‘Creator’ = no ‘unalienable’ rights! He loathes liberty and our Constitution!

Don’t omit Art 2, Sec 1, of the Constitution when speaking of Obama. Restore economic sanity, limited government and adherence to our Constitution!

    1. Register & VOTE.

    2. Demand Congress depose and prosecute Obama, along with his co-conspirators! Any politician or judge refusing this duty in violation of their oath of office, should also be regarded as a co-conspirator and similarly deposed or voted out of office.

    3. Boycott complicit mainstream media advertisers and inform them you detest their enabling the worst cover-up in American history!

The Only way The Tea Party will be heard is to not accept the choices the RNC gives us. No Lessons were learned in 2008,and after 2010 we were taken for granted again as the Republicans we sent turned in to RINOs.
