‘Real News From The Blaze:’ Anarchy in Tampa?

CNN is reporting that law enforcement officials, including the FBI and Department of Homeland Security, are concerned about possible violence from anarchist extremists at the Republican and Democrat national conventions that kicks off with the GOP event in Tampa next week. CNN has obtained an intelligence bulletin that indicates anarchists could try to use improvised explosive devices to disrupt the event, and “attempt to close” all of the Tampa Bay-area bridges during the event next week.
The Tampa Bay Police Department has been reportedly preparing for weeks, and according to Government Security News, “is deploying behavioral recognition software from BRS Labs on dozens of the video cameras that will provide round-the-clock surveillance at many of the venues where the GOP national convention will take place August 27-30.”
The “Real News” table Thursday discussed how law enforcement is preparing for the events and what attendees should look out for. Should we fear a real threat from these alleged anarchists? Or are we in store for an Occupy Wall Street-style show that is likely to fizzle out? Watch a clip below featuring analysis from BRS Labs President John Frazzini:

There are the general protestors who can — because of good intentions, or just part of the crowd — can be easily moved around from protest to protest, and consume a lot of cop time and effort.
Then there is a second level of committed anarchists who will do quite a bit of the dirty work and be willing to get arrested. They usually do their deeds while the first level is co-opting the cops time and efforts.
Then the third level of the ultra anarchist. These are the guys on the inside where the planning goes on. They are committed to do the big crimes — eg. Blow a bridge up in Cleveland

Gov. Scott told him he could not restrict the firearms and that because the permited carry citizens have a non existent crime rate it would serve no purpose to take their protection away. What a great Gov , and the pink pansys kitty club should be carefull who they threaten when they are in our house people here are getting tired of hearing their bs

Posted on August 23, 2012 at 8:54pmThe Occupy folks are already in Tampa, & in position here; but I heard the secret service will hold them for a week if they’re arrested, so word is out and some (who are actually working!!) are rethinking whether they can afford that. The rooftop scans are uncovering stashes of bricks & pipes that have been prepositioned up there for bombarding cars & traffic; security is heavily scouring for this stuff, and finding it. All government office buildings have been closed & workers moved elsewhere, the windows boarded up. You won’t see this side of downtown Tampa on the TV coverage. Traffic thru downtown Tampa is extremely restricted and anyone needing access will have to take long routes around the city to get anywhere. There’s all kinds of new palm trees and plants that have just been put in along Bayshore Drive into the downtown for the RNC- but I think if this hurricane Isaac is even just offshore 75+ miles, they‘ll be all across the roads and we’ll have quite a muddy, sloshy mess all around the convention center!! Nevertheless, security is pretty darned tight here. And I, for one, have NO plans to go anywhere near the RNC because all of the extreme left of the worst kind WILL be here. It’s gonna be a wild week!

There were only a few bricks found on top of a building a mile away from the convention center. That is hardly a secret stash of weapons.
If there is violence it will be caused by agents provocateurs and camera crews will be given advance knowledge.
Something has to fill up theblaze besides UFO and Bigfooot stories, and Mr. Beck is hoping for video of protesters bleeding to do just that.

Private armed/ unarmed security companies have been posting for short-term contracts the last few months in and around the Tampa/St Pete area. Clearwater seems like it may miss any Convention related mischief due to no events scheduled here (as far as I know) and the relative distance to Tampa but ya’ never know…
