‘Real News From the Blaze’: How Will Tea Partiers Affect the 2012 Election?

How will Tea Partiers ultimately affect the outcome of the 2012 election? Why haven’t they consolidated behind one of the candidates currently seeking the Republican nomination? Is former House Speaker Newt Gingrich merely an attack dog conservatives can deploy to level the harsh blows against President Obama while his rivals keep above the fray?

All were questions asked and answered in Friday night’s episode of Real News From the Blaze. Watch S.E. Cupp, Buck Sexton, Will Cain and Amy Holmes along with guest co-host Jedediah Bila weigh in with their thoughts. It’s a quick-paced, thought-provoking segment you won’t want to miss!

Also discussed Friday was the topic of Iran as a nuclear threat, not just to Israel, but the entire Western World. Watch the crew, along with guest Erick Stakelbeck break down the issue:

For the past 2 years all he ever preached was freedom, the Constitution, and Liberty, yet every article about Ron Paul(the only candidate who is for all 3of of those)is a negative hit piece. Wise up Beckistani’s. The media(including Beck) is using FEAR and manipulation to brainwash you. Ron Paul…The only candidate that is for “We The People”

Remember the heroin addict example he has given several times. Next we have Newt. Newt deserves all the critisism he gets. He has given more than enough ammo to do so. How is a person that can not run his own life able to run the country. Character matters, you can make mistakes but mistakes over 30 years of government “service” no thank you. All people need to get the facts for themselves and make up their own mind. May have heard that before.

The tea party is losing it’s credibility not because they are backing Newt. It is because Glenn and his people are so against this guy. They have made it personal and have lost all impartial reporting. Here we are 3 months into GBTV and the truth appears to have an agenda. So if Glenn and company are supposed to be a spokes people for the tea party that ruins the credibility of the whole party.

Please note that I am for Newt as the only person that has balanced the budget in my lifetime and I am in my 40s. Clinton was president for 8 years only 4 were balanced the ones with Newt as speaker.

What do we want small government or right government. It is not the size of government it is what they are doing. Newt has had real solutions and if Glenn got his head out of his @ss he might see it.

I’m near 60 same thing only Newt ever got it done period.

Beck was very close minded when he interviewed Newt. Newt explained I did what I did because it was the most I could do. Medicare Part D was done because people would not take medications because they could not afford them thus they got ill and needed very expensive care. My parents did this or went to Canada or Mexico. The question is how do you end it the answer incremental change. This was that. He got Medicare Advantage to start privatizing Medicare. He got Health Savings Accounts to start ending it altogether. Only small steps will pass period.

He also looked at what Gore was doing and said how do we stop that. His solution was to push Nuclear and CO2 sequestration combined with using it to get more oil and gas. He got results with a Democrat President that hated him. He knows how to get results.

I talked to the man once. I honestly believe he is strong conservative and will get results for a smaller government with far less spending. Will he make America into what it was at it’s founding. No. But then too that would take a very long time probably forty years at least. I wish he wore religion on his sleeve and really believed in GOD. But like most Catholics he is weak there but I believe he can win more so than any one else.

Hossua what do you plan to cut. Newt has talked about making government more efficient who else is doing that? That is how smart people balance budgets, stupid people go at it with a hatchet. Smart people try to see how to get the same services with less money. Newt has mentioned Lean Six Sigma techniques in achieving this. I have studied and am starting my own business helping other companies save money so I know what I am talking about.
What don’t you want? police, construction, military, entitlements, what part of this are you going to start cutting. Think for yourselves.
We have all seen how inefficient the government is so if you could get more services such as border patrol, social security in a stable state, medicare etc with less money that is the goal.

I am all for ending the welfare mentality but that is not what our major problems are at least not until obummer got there. Social security is something good hard working people earned, and paid for. people that have paid for this should get it and those that don’t want you to get money that you paid are crooks. The budget was never balanced. Google is your friend.
Newt was the first speaker of the house to be run out of town on a rail because of his ethics violations? Or maybe being speaker while Billy Bubba expanded on Jimmy Carters plan to force banks to lend money to people that couldn’t pay them back and instituted the assault weapons ban and raised taxes and gave North Korea a nuclear reactor and attacked and killed people at Wako and Ruby ridge and allowed a group of Saudis that had over stayed their visas to stay in the country and learn how to fly multi engine commercial jets but not land them. Newt supports the individual mandate for health care and he believes in man made global warming and he supports the cap and trade bill. He is also a self confessed liar and traitor. He stated that he didn’t give a damn what the constitution said. he would do what ever he wanted or felt he had to do to prevent another 9/11. Have you heard him speak out against The John Warner Defense act, the Patriot act, the homeland security act or the NDAA? Of course not.
Barack Newt Gingrich are all the same person with different rhetoric and different ways of delivering the lie. Gingrich is a proven liar and a proven loser. So are Mitt and Barry.

Ask yourself why are Toyota, Honda and Hyundai making a lot of money. Because they are more efficient at doing what they do. they all use lean six sigma techniques, which only one candidate has even mentioned Newt.
Ron Paul even admitted in the debates that you cannot do what he wants to do so it is fool hearty to even talk about eliminating 5 departments. This is why 1 bill was passed in 20 years started by Dr Paul.

@elpzee you are right about the disparity in wages but that is not the only reason they make money. I helped to make a plastics manufacturer that used 167 people create another plant that out produced that plant using Lean six sigma techniques and automation with 48 people. Not only that since they were making more money tithe the new plant they opened up another 9 plants around the country.

If we are to compete with other nations we need to be better, and more efficient because we have a high cost of living and average wage. Germany is the only country in Europe that is solvent they also have a wage that is close to if not slightly higher than ours. They can do this because they also use lean techniques.
We need to have a competitive edge and we do not want to compete on wages so the alternative is in automation, and being efficient. If we fail at this we will lose our whole country to up an coming nations.
Newt is the only person that realizes this and has a plan to get us there.
Cut cut cut does not work, find any company and there are a lot to chose from, whenever a new CEO or CFO comes in the first thing they usually do is eliminate jobs (like Ron Paul is proposing)so it looks like they are saving that company millions of dollars when all they did was create a vacuum and overload duties on someone else. Multiply this times 10000 companies and you know why the American worker is working more hours and has less to show for it.

The only candidate I will vote for is Ron Paul. If he’s not the candidate, then I will stay at home. Let Obama win. He won’t do any more damage than Romney or Gingrich. Most Republicans are religious and do whatever Israel tells them to do. If you elect Romney or Gingrich, you will get WW3 because these idiot neocons will attack Iran. The Republicans all talk about civil liberties, but with NDAA and the Patriot Act, they are destroying our civil liberties more than Al Qaeda could dream of. The Tea Party is a joke. They don’t even have the balls to form their own party. Instead, they let the RINOs co-opt their own movement, which is very very weak at the moment. My advice to the Tea Party is grow a pair and form your own 3rd party. Let the Republicans end up where they end up. At the rate the GOP is going, they will be a small regional party at best. It is hilarious how Romney is so “electable” when that moron couldn’t even beat McCain. McCain is the reason Obama is president in the first place and all the GOP is going to do is pick another weak candidate like Romney or Gingrich. Has beens.

Romney had a budget deficet in his state. and Santorum is quite fiscally liberal, and socially conservative. Newt is the only one to balance a budget and he did it with a democratic president as well the other branch of congress. So it was not perfect but it happened and was the only time in my life time. The Tea Party is taking this time to further educate ourselves and build our credibilty back that the progressives have tarnished and attempted to destroy. Being prepared does not mean that we are going to be silent. Allowing the OWS their time will certainly be to our benefit. The OWS have shown their true colors and the American people are watching. Right now our main concern is to support anyone that wins the nomination . Though it may not be the perfect candidate we must take care of business and have our priorities straight. The progressives have taught us that patience is necessary to accomplish our goals and to be prepared with the facts that can not be questioned. Beck has shown us how to do this , it is up to us to see it through. If any of you think that we will sit back and be idle after the election you are mistaken. That is when the we will dig in our heels to hold whoever is in office accountable. The last thing we need is to have the mainstream media on our backs right now claiming that we are ruining the republican party and any chance that they have to beat Obama. The Federal gov’t can not do squat unless they are invited in like a vampire. The whole Federal medling in everything would come to a screeching halt the moment a State government has the balls to tell them to take their money and shove it some place uncomfortable. I won’t vote for Ron Paul. He is my representative, years ago he held a town hall meeting (the only one in 20yrs) in my town. Several retired military (myself included) asked about suddenly having to pay for medical insurance. After all ,we were promised health care for life as part of our retirement package. One of his aides took our names and addresses and Paul promised to get back to us. No one ever heard a word. I attempted to follow up by calling his office in DC and was hung up on several times.
No one, republican or democrat will run againts him. I just skip over his name on the ballot and don’t voter for representative. This squeaky little man has a few good ideas but his Foreign Policy will isolate and sink this country. Don’t be decieved by his promises, he would not work with anyone in the house, why would he change. You will be getting another President who wants to rule by fiat, because he knows what is best for us.

Don’t get it … We had a TEA Party movement back in 2007 in support of Ron Paul which came to its height on Dec 16th as the largest one day fundraiser in American history. Yet in 2010 the origins of the modern TEA Party movement have been erased as the media now appoints “official” TEA Party groups and promotes “accepted” TEA Party leaders. The TEA Party is now just a media tool to control public opinion.

Northern, You are completely ignorant. Back in 2007 I was part of the TEA Party movement which was an extension of the Ron Paul R[evol]ution campaign. We had the pocket constitutions, the Taxed Enough Already signs, and every hall mark of the media’s TEA Party movement !! IN 2007 !! and talked about every issue the media‘s copy of the TEA Party claims as a ’core’ belief of the movement. There are a crap load of the 2007 Ron Paul TEA Party videos on Youtube.

The day so-called “TEA Party” supporters talked down Ron Paul (TeaParty member 0) and supported Newt Gingrich was the day I realized that the movement was dead and just now a tool for the media.

      @ Wakeup Maggie,
      1. Ron Paul has either been in a statistical tie or has beaten Obama in every national Poll done of a 1 on 1 election between them, just like Mitt Romney. Thus, Paul is just as ‘electable’ as Romney.
      2. “[...] we will vote for anyone but the destroyer in chief [...]” , and that is exactly what the establishment is counting on. The TEA Party is anti-establishment, or at least it was from 2007 to 2010, not just anti-Democrat and certainly not Republican. Do you honestly think someone like Newt is going to be any better than Obama in the White House? The man is a flat out liar and manipulator and has zero regard for the constitution. now if I’m not mistaken, wasn’t the entire point of the tea party to bring attention to the fact that our government has gotten too big and out of control? If that’s the case, then what is ANYONE that is for limited government doing even thinking about voting for a Gingrich, Romney or Santorum? These 3 have a history of being a part of growing government bigger than what the founding fathers have intended. Ron Paul is the only guy on the platform that has been consistently limited government, pro constitution, for a strong defense, and the only serious candidate about cutting spending….. We have an opportunity as a country to get ourselves out of the status quo, and at least give ourselves a chance to get back to what made this country so great. Anyone that votes for Gingrich, Romney, Santorum or Obama is basically saying that the status quo is OK, and tea party will have happened all for none. This is our time to stand up! Let’s do it! It’s not about Ron Paul, it’s about getting back to the constitution and what our founding fathers intended, something that Santorum, Romney, Gingrich or Obama have no interest in doing

Newt was stuffing taxpayer money into his pockets well before there was a TEA Party. Since the TEA Party, Newt had to change his rhetoric to suit his possible voters. The political landscape changed to where these big government republicans had to start hiding their true intentions. Power and control. I would rather be patriotic towards my freedom than to a central government that doesnt know when to stop seeking more. Don’t expect Newt to change one thing for any of you. You will elevate him to the most powerful chair in the world without looking at who he trully is on the inside. Power hungry. You think his arrogance is needed to defeat Obama, but what will you have afterwards? Another arrogant President. Wonder how many times we will change out First Ladies while he is in the White House.

Everyone on here has such great foreign policy arguments for not changing our current path. Yet you don’t know the first thing about being there and patroling the streets. Many of you have never even had a bomb explode next to you, heard the snap of bullets passing by, or had to tell your family goodbye for a year. Not knowing if you will get to see them again. You have no idea what its like so do not pretend that you know jack about foreign policy.

You have your minds made up already and are bigoted in all your statements. Unwilling to see the otherside or even failings in your own perceptions. Look beyond what you read and look at the men. You are what you do.

Now if you were to attempt to quantify how much each candidate liked big government for a comparison, Rick Santourm scores a 10,000 for big government; Mitt Romney a 9,000, Newt Gingrich a 8,900; and Ron Paul a 10.

If you want to qualify them on most dangerous, Ron Paul would lead the list.

Ron Paul the only one man enough to abolish the Federal Reserve. I see that being gutsy. Brave. Not the rest of these candidates. I’m not slave.I am not afraid of the Fed like you are.

Hey Republicorp, maybe Dr. Paul wants our tax dollars to go to building American bridges, not bridges in Iraq. Or maybe he wants our tax dollars to go to Americans….not Israel. Or maybe he would rather see our tax dollars go to We The People, instead of the Banks. Your just another brainwashed Paul hating coward. You my friend are part of the reason why this country is going to S$%T.

      @at republicorp
I live in his district and the money was well spent on the recovery from IKE. You should be as well represented by your Congressman, as Paul represents us. Like most that really understand what Paul stands for I will give him my primary vote. Everyone else will vote for the candidate that the media, including Beck, wanted you to vote for form day one. Get in line and follow the sheep in front of you.

It’s hard to be a R. You have to think, have values, respect others views.

To be a DEMOCRAT is easy
All you have to do is say yes to any perversion
      Yes to any criminal act
      Yes, to dishonest dealing
      Yes to election cheating

      Very Easy

Agreed. Tea Partiers don’t really know what they stand for and it is fracturing the party. True conservatives want small government in all matters (foreign policy, personal privacy, and economics) and support Ron Paul. Cultural conservatives want big government in personal privacy and foreign policy and thus support Santorum. Libertarian wing of the conservative movement v. the Culture War wing of the conservative movement… It’s Civil War on the right and Obummer is going to waltz past the finish line.

It sounds like you liberal losers are still suffering from a November 2010 Tea Party landslide hangover. We CRUSHED you in those elections and the only reason we didn‘t do better was because the other half of your pathetic little democrat politicians weren’t up for re-election. If you think the last election was bad, forget about a hangover, we’re going to put all of you democrat losers into a coma this November!

@Quagaar, I’m not so sure that 2010 really did anything. Look at how many of those so called Tea Party folks voted for the NDAA and voted to increase the debt ceiling without any real cuts. Seems those guys were just posers to me.

@Wireman24, I believe that the OWS will control elections next fall, but not the same way as you. I believe that the administration will direct the OWS to begin their rioting and will (with the aid of the MSM) call martial law, and suspend the elections.
