‘Real News From The Blaze’ Breaks Down Romney’s Speech and Republican National Convention

By almost every account, Mitt Romney hit on all points needed in his highly anticipated speech at the Republican National Convention Thursday.  Commentators have said the speech was delivered better than usual for Romney, presented a warm and personal tone, while laying out stark differences in opinion with the president for what policy is needed moving forward. But will it be enough to get him in the White House next January?

“We are a nation of immigrants. We are the children and grandchildren and great-grandchildren of the ones who wanted a better life, the driven ones, the ones who woke up at night hearing that voice telling them that life in that place called America could be better,” Romney said from Tampa Thursday. The Republican candidate for president went on to add comments with a ring from the Reagan 1980 “are you better off?” playbook: “But today, four years from the excitement of the last election, for the first time, the majority of Americans now doubt that our children will have a better future.

“It is not what we were promised.”

The “Real News From The Blaze” panel opened Friday’s show breaking down Romney’s speech and debating whether it will resonate with undecideds and independents. In addition to Romney’s speech, the panel analyzed the week as a whole for the GOP. Did Republicans make progress in closing the party’s gap in support with women and Hispanic-Americans? How does the Romney/Ryan ticket look coming out of Tampa?

Every speech has its purpose. An all in one speech is not the best way to get out the message.

The GOP Convention didn’t have enough fake fluff for some folks.
~>The Jerry Springer audience craves angst and nasty; their ‘normal’.

Bamboozling Barack had the audacity to send a picture of the back of his head exposed above the back of the chair with the label “president”, and the words, “This chair is taken”.
~> Transparently, chief narcisist doesn’t think elections apply anymore.

    8^> His term is up.

What‘s the name of the The Blaze panel’s female talking head who sat on the opposite side of the other two?
She alleged that McCain lost in 2008 because of Sarah Palin.

I assume that many will say that I exaggerate, but to me, it’s Sarah Palin who lost because of McCain.
McCain, a so-called “war hero” whose only heroic military achievement, as far as I know (if not to count 5 lost jets), was that he spent 5 1/2 years in VietKong Commie prison, was and keeps being RINO.
    Sarah is not.

never mind the speech, I would like to know why GBTV, aka the BLAZE isn’t saying more about what happened in the rules committee 8/26 and 8/27 and how Rule 12 and 15 were changed to disenfranchise the conservative grassroots of the party. I am a precinct committee person from the state of FL and our 2 delegates to the rules committee were replaced with unauthorized delegates not to mention other grievances done to 13 states of the union. If this happened during President Reagan time there would never have been Reaganomics and no “tear done this wall.” Reagan never would never have made it past the financial power brokers. Where is the so called truth. Duly elected delegates were not seated and replaced with Romney surrogates. The rule of law was not followed that is Robert’s rules of order for parliamentarians. There is teleprompter evidence of votes caste prior and being read by Boehner. And don’t give me a bunch of hogwash about being a beck basher or romney basher or paulbot because in florida I have to sign a loyalty oath to be a REC member, not to mention I‘ve followed Beck since he’s been on HLN and I’m a retired Navy Nurse. Too say I am disgusted with the RNC and disappointed with Beck is an understatement. So much for the Truth Lives Here. But I will tell you this, this fight is not over, not by a long shot. Constitution is worth fighting for. This is not about party, not about candidates. This most certainly is about Rule of LAW.

and who are you? what is your great achievement in life that you can pass judgement on a man like Mitt Romney, who, whether you plan to vote for him or not, is a man of solid accomplishments and high character. Puppet, where do you get puppet? Crawl back under your rock “individualism”. Let the grownups get this country back on track. The U.S. has to deal with reality, and the reality is there are no perfect candidates and Romney must win in November.
Romney gave a solid, truthful accounting of himself at the convention and that’s all he needed to do.
      Romney/Ryan all the way !

      Really, INDI?
It was reported before the convention that he had written and re-written/tweaked his own speech.

Something tells me Indy couldn’t verbally repeat what he just wrote without reading it off the screen…very sad. Just know that when Obama is going we will be watch Mitt even more closely to ensure our vote counted.

if he really wrote that speech he is screwed in november that was one of the worst and most boring speeches ever and because hes boring is probably why he doesn’t have a base and almost nobody shows up for him. Obama is going to merk him in November, not only because more people like him but the election is rigged for him, just look at what company is counting the votes and who its owned by, now that reality is kicked in, go to intrade bet on it and double your money.

      indi;

November is coming where you will be proved WRONG! oblama has nothing to suggest he deserves another term. Mitt Romney (not my first primary choice) did more last weekend to help the country than ‘Big Ears’ has in three and a half years. Oh, and just in case you didn’t notice, you are supporting joe biden. Yes, joe biden the gaffe master and his empty suit (or chair) boss. Good luck ~ will you be leaving the country when the R’s are elected?
