‘Real News From the Blaze’: Democrats Double Down on Bain Attacks

President Obama and fellow Democrats in the House seem to have doubled down on making presumptive GOP opponent Mitt Romney’s career in the private sector the issue of the 2012 campaign. Despite some criticism from Obama supporters like Steve Rattner and Harold Ford Jr. for the tone of campaign attacks against Romney’s time at Bain Capital, as well as the Cory Booker “Meet The Press” fiasco, President Obama still appears eager to go after his opponent’s career in private equity.

During a press conference in Chicago at the site of the Nato Summit Monday, the president argued in defiant support of his campaign’s growing attacks against Romney, who was described in one ad as a “vampire” for making profits as workers were being laid off. Senior campaign advisor David Axelrod also defended the campaign‘s attacks against Romney’s career at Bain while appearing on MSNBC Monday, framing the strategy as a reasonable examination of the former Massachusetts governor’s business experience which the Republican has touted as “his chief credential for running for office.” On Tuesday Rep. James Clyburn, the third-ranking House Democrat, described Romney’s business practices as “raping companies and leaving them in debt” for his own profit.

But is the pubic behind the Obama team taking the campaign in this direction?

During “Real News” Tuesday, Will Cain broke down what he sees as a losing argument for the president, taking time to give a short lesson on private equity 101. Here’s a clip from the show:

Romney should be fighting back harder. All companies lay off people. GE prides themselves on laying off 10% of the workforce every single year and we all know how Jeffrey Imelt is on the Obama bandwagon. Oprah has laid off employees at her cable network. I don’t see any of those employees crying and whining on any ads. Romney needs to stress this and the fact that 80% of the companies succeeded and only 20% didn’t. Keep it simple for the ignorant voter and get the counter message out there! Even Herman Cain was better at explaining this! Do it Mitt….stand up for yourself against the Obama ads against Bain. Don’t throw the election like McCain did. Things should not be off limits. Rev. Wright issue is legitimate as it shows Obama’s dishonesty. There is nothing wrong with your business dealings and nothing out of the ordinary.

I worked for a large manufacturing plant that had been bought by a private equity company. Through their investment of cash, we were able to hire about 60 new employees, thereby increasing the production and ended up selling the plant for 3 times what the private equity company had originally paid for it. Seems like a win-win situation for all involved. The company, in Pampa, TX is still flourishing.

You can’t blame a business for trying to make their bottom line look good. Romney says he will do something about the Chinese manipulation of currency and he will try to make business be more competitive globally by revamping the taxcode. It is not as simple as saying they both send jobs overseas. Obama wants global governance and interference (as does Hillary Clinton). Obama will sell us out to global dominance with the 5 treaties he want to ratify. (Read Dick Morris’s new book “Screwed”..or just google “5 sneaky treaties dick morris” for a short explanation)
I will vote for the American. I believe Romney is more of an American than Obama. Obama‘s vision is more of a global one and my instincts and gut say he doesn’t really understand what being an American means.

What would Romney do? I don’t believe that after sincere prayer and patriotic loyalty, we’d end up with the same result!

Romney at Bain took 44 million in government bailouts for one of his ventures there. I am 100% for venture capitalism, I am 100% against using government funds.

Honestly Romney didnt break the law, while at Bain he used the system. We should be talking about spending, debt, wars, and freedoms. This is going to turn into a garbage thing like gay marriage, birth control, and bullying.

Romney is an atrocious, sickening candidate, who is made of strangled brainlessness. Of obedience, and what always goes along with the unholy type of obedience — of fear. Those terrified surrendering
    eyes.

He is a candidate who is made to lose. The Tea Party must not accept him as a candidate.

Ryan/West 2012. We’re never giving up on getting the best available President. This isn’t dorking-around time, where any fool ought to be President, because any random fool can save America.

We won’t give up. You, no matter how you’re being tortured, be dead honest in your interviews. And you are being detained, by your very solicitous security persons. You know it.

    What’s your ADHD medication?

    The water’s spiked. Drink milk.
