‘Real News From The Blaze’: Did Che Guevara Plot to Blow Up NYC?

During last night’s inaugural episode of the ground-breaking nightly news show on GBTV, a powerful and historical piece aired about Che Guevarra.

Che‘s image has recently been the subject of controversy as the violent Cuban revolutionary’s image was used by Mercedes-Benz in a presentation at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.

Che Guevara Plotted To Bomb NYC Real News From The Blaze

Guevara’s image is also popular among many in the Occupy Wall Street movement and the hipsters in Hollywood. But what is the real story behind Ernesto “Che” Guevara?

Real News From The Blaze tells the story of a plot by Che to bomb several highly-trafficked tourist sites in Manhattan. The terror plan was dangerously close to reality. Had the Feds not stepped in, the deaths could have easily eclipsed those from the 2001 attack on the World Trade Center.

Buck Sexton reports and the Real News panel discussed the topic.

Watch Real News From The Blaze, weeknights at 7pm (eastern) on GBTV.

Some people say, that New York would not be missed if the bombs went off.
There are allot of people that live in New York. It would be sad to see them dies this way.
But, where else would a gang set off bombs to make their point.
New York has invited this upon themselves. I think we should move New York to Russia.

I don’t understand the people of this country or the free world for making a hero out of this piece of crap. This is an idiot from a failed government system that I spent more than half my life defending our freedoms from. I can’t believe the people of California paint his face along with other commies on walls all over and even worse federal tax dollars paid for it. Immigration reform could fix a lot of this spend the 1.8 billion dollars to deport all illegals and it will save our nation 1.1 billion a year and then make sure we have a shoot to kill border.

Ironic, considering my avatar photo. I’ve been preaching this for years. I lived in Argentina and it was there that I was first introduced to the Che Guevara stencils on the walls that we now see all over the Occupy movement (see the avatar to the left). These guys have no clue what Guevara was about. He was known to be famous for two things: saying “che” all the time (hence the nickname; which is the Argentine version of a stoner saying “dude!”) and his other idiosyncrasy was never bathing (yes that too has a certain irony, considering Occupy inadvertently identifies with that part of his character).

What these clowns nowadays see is the vision of a revolutionary. They think that’s cool. It’s the new thing to be. Only it isn’t new. G.K. Chesterton described it back in 1908 in his book Orthodoxy:

“Men have tried to turn “revolutionise” from a transitive to an intransitive verb [from revolutionizing something to just revolutioniz-ING, or being a rebel, just to rebel]. The Jacobin [French Revolution] could tell you not only the system he would rebel against, but (what was more important) the system he would NOT rebel against, the system he would trust. But the new rebel is a Sceptic, and will not entirely trust anything. He has no loyalty; therefore he can never be really a revolutionist. And the fact that he doubts everything really gets in his way when he wants to denounce anything.”

      Occupy, in a nutshell.

You assert that Che was involved in a plot to blow up tourist spots in Manhattan in 1962, and that the Kennedy Admin. then went after anti-Castro individuals. But the talking heads go off on other tangents. What was the Che link to the terrorists? Why did JFK go after the anti-Castroites. Did these events of November 1962 have any connection to events of November 1963?

Nothing anyone can say removes the fact that Che was a VIOLENT communist.

The good story about Che is he died a chicken thief in Bolivia. the US helped the Bolivian government set up a good COIN campaign. Che lost the support of the population and had to start stealing to survive. The people ratted him out and the SF trained Bolivian Ranger Bn hunted him downwind killed him. Moral of that story keep your wars small and have have the host nation do most of the killing and dying.

I missed the show but I hope among other topics they put to rest the MYTH that Guevara was a physician. There’s no evidence whatsoever that this piece of filth ever attended, much less graduated, from any accredited medical school anywhere. That lie was concocted by leftist revolutionaries to give him some sort of “street cred”. The fact is he was nothing more than a sadistic communist mass murderer.

Even if it is true, then it is just a part for the “history” books. There is no such thing, as far as I know, as retroactive punishment for a crime that was in the planning from another country or individual, who in this case is no longer alive, which happened from a long gone ideology that might have been a threat to us more than 45 years ago. I do have a problem with the article however. Highly trafficked tourist sites? at around 1965? in Manhattan? empire State Building, Statue of Liberty? Chrysler building? exactly what time of day or season, etc.? there is a lot of variables that just doesn’t seem plausible here. I’m assuming most of the tourists would come from within the USA during this time and if they visited those sites, with the means and money available to them, I don’t think they would all group together unless they were in a crowded line. I’m just saying my opinion here.
