‘Real News From The Blaze’ Discusses Drone Wars and Yemen With Sebastian Gorka

The CIA has asked for expanded authority to conduct drone strikes in Yemen, requesting to launch new attacks against terrorism suspects even when it does not know the identities of those who could be killed. Yemen, as discussed on “Real News” before, is an emerging enclave for Al Qaeda activity and U.S. officials have identified it as the most urgent threat as a staging ground for attacks against the U.S. and U.S. interests.
With Al Qaeda in Yemen “attached at the hip” to the insurgency there – the U.S. could be perceived as taking sides in a civil war, as we apply drone strikes without necessarily being able to identify who our targets are with a great deal of accuracy. Additionally, the use of drones in any situation brings ethical and strategic questions.
Counterterrorism expert Dr. Sebastian Gorka joined the program to discuss the situation in Yemen, and The Blaze’s national security analyst Buck Sexton breaks down entering into “Drone Wars”:
