How much longer will the United States, the West, and the rest of the world watch without acting with force as part of coalition, or even as a sole actor, in attempting to end the horrific and extensively reported atrocities in Syria?
That question has been asked by many over the last few days as it was reported that over 100 people were massacred Friday in Houla, a small farming village close to Syria’s third city of Homs. Activists say the Syrians were killed by pro-government thugs.
The U.N. said Tuesday that entire families were killed in their homes, including children, with most of the victims shot at close range.
The Economist reports that UN Security Council met on Sunday evening to condemn the killings while Secretary of State Hillary Clinton called for an end to president Bashar Assad’s “rule by murder.”
On Tuesday, the United States in coordination with Australia, Britain, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands and Spain, expelled Syrian Diplomats from the country, over what it says is the Syrian government’s responsibility for what happened in Houla.
As the UN’s diplomatic attempts at peace led by Kofi Annan look to have run their corse without showing any major results, how much more horror can the world witness without attempting an alternative policy?
S.E. Cupp updated “Real News” viewers to the massacare Friday in case they missed the coverage over the long weekend. The panel was joined by Christian Whiton of D.C. International Advisory to discuss the failure of UN policy in the region, and whether if at this point; is there anyway Assad walks away from this without being detained as a war criminal.
“If this isn’t a war crime, I don’t know what is,” commented Whiton.
Cupp went on to question current American foreign policy regarding Syria, asserting that “if we are willing to put our money where our mouth, now is the time.”

Posted on May 30, 2012 at 2:12amWe celebrate Halloween here. We dress up in costumes of police officers, military soldiers,, etc.. Are you telling me that some here are soo stupid not to realize how easy it is to dress up in a Syrian military uniform and commit murder?? The people who witness the murders saw uniformed Syrian soldiers… So nobody is intelligent enough to think that people dressed in Syrian uniforms did these crimes and were not Syrian military at all but individuals dressed in Syrian uniforms.. How hard do you think it would be for someone to get a Syrian military uniform??? Who would benefit by overthrowing the Syrian government??? Would it be that an election of Muslim extremists would take over and be elected and therefore unite against the west and Israel?? Are we witnessing the fulfillment of Arab Spring for which they irony is they are using our own UN and our own U.S. troops to do it?? If our leading military strategists are too blind to see what is happening then we are all in trouble.

Posted on May 30, 2012 at 2:02amThe ease of Iranian troops gaining access to Syrian military uniforms is what is going on here. What does Iran have to gain??? Iran wants a united middle east united against the west and Israel. They want the US and the UN to overthrow Syria so elections of Muslim extremists can rule. Iran is using our own troops to complete the Arab Spring and unite all Muslim nations in the middle east against the west. Russia should send battleships and weapons of every nature into Syria and I believe they will and have. The Russians are not not stupid. This has all been a staged action to draw us in.
Report Post »Since Russia is aligned with the Syrian government, it should be Russian troops that enter into Syria and I know that Russia already has 10′s of thousands of Russian troops on the ground in Syria already. It should be the Russian government who investigates the murders of the innocent men, women and children in this recent incident and I have no doubt they will discover Iran is behind it.

Posted on May 30, 2012 at 12:05amI am so tired of America being the world’s police force…not falling for it no more, give it up. Let Russia spend their money since Syria is their neighbor. Besides, America is bankrupt.

Posted on May 29, 2012 at 11:58pmMaybe we should bomb and invade Mexico while we are at it. Why don’t we go into China and Russia at the same time. Darn, we should just let the UN and NATO send my buddies serving still to these countries and just kill all those bad guys. You know something SE Cup…I am all for sending you first. I served my country…even in a time of war for nearly a decade and I am quite tired of people like you volunteering us to go out and rescue the world.

Posted on May 29, 2012 at 10:50pmPull the troops out of Iraq, Afghanistan. No troops to Syria. In Iraq we liberated them from a murderous dictator and what did they do, bite the hand that helped them. In Afghanistan, it is a money pit. Tunisia and Eqypt ,, well at least under their old dictators, life was a little better, but once the muslims take over, heaven help the population.. The mullahs are far worse than Kadafi, Mubarak. At least during their time in power other religions, and cultures were “allowed” to exist. Under the mullahs just islam, sharia law.

Posted on May 29, 2012 at 9:29pmIf not now, when? NEVER!!! Syria is not our problem. We (NATO) has caused enough havoc & instability in the region. Egypt, Tunisia & Libya to name a few. Welcome Muslim Brotherhood. I am sorry men, women & children are dead. How about we solve the problems in our own country FIRST! Chicago reported 40 shootings & 10 dead just this weekend, including a 14 y/o boy. My city has had over 100 shots fired by gangs & 3 dead teens.
So let me get this straignt: Earlier in the Blaze Real News segment they were talking about how the UN is nothing but a group of disfunctional liars & cheats, then the next segment we are to believe reporting from the UN on this. HYPOCRISY!
Just last week our wonderful members of the House of Representatives passed a law allowing propaganda to be released to US citizens. Coincidence? NOT! I believe nothing anymore.
Once again, the news (and the Blaze) is reporting that Iran is at fault, as if Assad can not do something like this on his own. He needs Iran?! Anyone consider the Al Qaeda backed rebels that our gov’t is supporting? Idea:Overthrow the current regime…GRAB POWER! Al Qaeda would never do something like this? It is not like they have never done this type of thing before. This gov’t, the media and the “lets go to war with Iran” crowd WILL STOP AT NOTHING to get us into a war with Iran and ultimately WWIII !

Posted on May 29, 2012 at 9:27pmWe should STAY OUT OF SYRIA. It‘s very sad that children were executed but I don’t think we should intervene. We are already running our troops ragged in Afghanistan and we should leave now. We should secure our own border because the people our troops fight for don’t even care about America!! Is Iraq better off now? Is Libya? Instead of trying to help every country that doesn’t have civil rights, why don‘t we support Israel when they decide to bomb Iran’s nuclear weapons program?

Heck, Iran even said that WE had a hand in this massacre… so let’s teach Iran a lesson on what a real massacre would look like eh? We will do everything possible to leave the women and children out of the equation so the Ron Paul folks and the other left doesn’t call us baby killers again etc..

Yea I know you say you’re a Santorum guy..whatev… I’ve never seen a conservative so negative on another conservative. God help us with Romney… I predict he will set back the conservative movement 40 years. Anyway move on Time2, your liberalesque rhetoric towards Paul was getting as old as Encicoms nonsense. I’m no Ron Paul zombie but, I do believe America needs to get back to it’s conservative ideals as we possibly can. Romney isn’t that leader. Nor was Santorum. Romney won’t fix a thing. Neither will the Rhino sorry ass Republicans in the Senate and Congress. Even the so called Tea Party guys caved on so many issues.. ie; NDAA etc.
