Report Post »So I don’t want to do any less than stomp Unions into the ground for good. They’re nothing but a shadow government making their own communist niche in America…….Time to send them back to Russia where they belong.

Posted on April 8, 2012 at 6:27pmAn easy way to end the unions threat is to make it a law that they cannot deduct dues from your paycheck, that all dues have to be mailed in by the member,The other thing that needs to be done is that currently you can join a union anytime you want but they will only allow to to get out during a small time window before the contract is do to expire,There should be a law saying that you can get out anytime you want.,

Posted on April 7, 2012 at 6:51pmAs a nurse I could not work anywhere in town without joining a union. It cost over $ 500.00 a year and I basically received nothing. What really made me very angry was when the SEIOU was using my hard earned money to support obama. I never voted for him nor would I ever. Its unbelievable how these thing are brought upon us and we are so busy just trying to earn a living we dont stop and think about it. I have to thank Beck for waking me up to all the corruption. Well I knew from 30 years ago about One World Government coming. Now wew are in the process of putting it in place.

Posted on April 4, 2012 at 11:16pmBig unions are like the big Fed monstrosity: big, bloated and needing to go into the night; they have served their purpose, now they need to pass. We need to take back the Fed and tame it once and for all back to serving the people, not the other way around, and unions are but one part of the problem.

Posted on April 4, 2012 at 7:48pmPlease everybody read this:
Report Post »I am going to try to put this into a common-sense perspective. I agree that public unions have become more than detrimental to the citizens of this country, and they should be at least severely restricted. The Dept. of labour needs to be stripped of most of its power and made to adhere to some type of “passive governing body”.
Private unions on the other hand, while the leadership lately has turned too political and needs to be stripped of a large part of thier power, has a constitutional right to exist. Workers should be allowed to band together and bargain with their employers; of course the employers should be able to hire non-union if they believe it is better for them.
I am a proud private union millwright, and just to let everybody know; we do not make a lot more money than our non-union counterparts (we do have better retirement because we manage our retirement accounts ourselves)! There are two main reasons that employers hire trade unions, we do not make near as many mistakes, and we do not have near as many accidents. Oh yes, and one more thing; we train ourselves. Most college graduates can not even pass our entrants tests!!!

Posted on April 4, 2012 at 9:11pmBeg to differ on one point about one group of malcontents. IAM has an astronomical accident (accidentally on purpose) rate compared to non-union shops. The dollars spent on short term disability is outrageous compared to shops where people work for their paychecks. I don’t know about your shop.I can’t speak for your shop. But, IAM aircraft assemblers have a huge parts rejection rate. Mostly because they don’t care. You can’t fire them. You can’t make them turn out a quality product. If something does delivered on time, its a miracle.

Posted on April 7, 2012 at 11:56amWhat you say sounds good if taken at face value, but if WE the PEOPLE had a NATIONAL RIGHT TO WORK LAW then WE THE PEOPLE would have a choice as to work Union or not. AS it is many states have no right to work laws and UNION THUGS DICTATE to the workers what when and how they can work. Plus force members to pay for and support political groups we would other wise not have anything to do with. WE the PEOPLE want a National Right to Work Law and CHOICE! NOT DICTATES from COMMIE’s and UNION THUGS!

Posted on April 4, 2012 at 3:57pmVery simple! Get rid of all unions and legislate with the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) fair pay and conditions according to time, talent and special skills expended by laborers as categorized. Provide health care and pensions by tweaking the present programs already in place. No dues, no extra costs to workers or employers, just straight on fair day‘s pay for a fair day’s time and effort. Everybody wins!

Posted on April 4, 2012 at 3:41pmVery Simple! What we need is to get rid of all unions and legislate (NLRB) labor with fair pay and conditions so laborers can earn a realistic and livable wage for time, talent and skills expended. Revamping Social Security would provide a pension. Everything is already in place.

Posted on April 4, 2012 at 3:00pmThe reality about government union contracts is that the elected representatives who negotiate them for “us” are too often working for (literally have their campaigns funded by) unions. In law, an attorney only represents the party that pays him/her, and any contracts flowing from such a relationship are more often than not deemed to be a voidable self-dealing transaction. Our public policies regarding government union contracts should reflect similar wisdom.

Posted on April 4, 2012 at 2:14pmIn the words of coach Lee Corso. “Not so fast my friend”. Look at the symbiotic relationship of the Democratic Party and Labor Unions, one does not exist without the other. Democrats will fight tooth and nail, hammer and tongs (choose the cliche you enjoy most) to forever cement the role of unions in politics. Truth is the only reason for unions to exist in this country is to donate to the Democrat agenda. Look at Wisconsin, SEIU Andy Stern and Obama, Teacher’s unions and local school budgets.

Posted on April 4, 2012 at 1:16pmWell said Chicagoland76…”The unions took the billions GM gave them for retirement benefits and blew it, then when GM went bankrupt the unions went to the government demanding a second retirement funding by the government and the government gave it to them.” and when Obama ‘caved in’ to the unions by stripped the bond holders, democracy went out the window, America became a tyranny and Obama the tyrant in chief.

Posted on April 4, 2012 at 10:28amA big reason union membership is down in the private sector: productivity gains. The only way to offset higher unit labor cost is to invest in machinery, materials and procedures that require fewer workers. Unions never acknowledge that their ‘gains’ for their members will necessarily result in fewer members. Of course the public sector is very slow to improve productivity, and in fact often makes it worse, so when government’s costs go up, especially at the Federal level, they can just borrow and keep going without cuts. I really think BO’s vast expansion of Government is a favor to the unions that help keep him in power, because those unions have tapped out the private sector.

Posted on April 4, 2012 at 8:28amYou forgot about the corruption. On leave before going to Vietnam, I remember news stories about union officials murdering one another. Jimmy Hoffa, his ties to organized crime and his disappearance. Teachers sitting in rubber rooms making $100k. The union mantra is that the contract trumps law and morality. The unions may have provided a service at some time, but that does not justify ongoing criminal activity.

Posted on April 4, 2012 at 8:03amForced payment of union dues is an abomination on the economy. The “right” to remain free of the collective bargaining process shoud be in every state in the union. Public sector unionization is also an abomination on the taxpayers.

Posted on April 4, 2012 at 9:35amUnions are a bunch of gangsters set up to steal retirement. If it were not for the government all GM union workers would have lost their retirement. GM bought out the retirement of the unions. The unions took the billions GM gave them for retirement benefits and blew it, then when GM went bankrupt the unions went to the government demanding a second retirement funding by the government and the government gave it to them. This was one of the biggest union ripoffs in history and no one even talks about it. What happened to those billions GM gave to the unions to buy out their retirements?

Posted on April 4, 2012 at 7:16amHaving once been a part of the labor movement myself as an activist and organizer as soon as the leadership sold out to the communist and Marxist they were done. The heros of American labor Sam Gompers, FDR and George Meany and Jimmy Hoffa, John L. Lewis had their warts but they were proud Americans and patriotic. The current crop of idiots in the leadership are at least Marxist and many are communist and for an American to support these clowns is beyond stupid.

Posted on April 4, 2012 at 1:07amTrade Guilds were created in Europe as City CopyRight to Limit and prevent others from making the same Product… and they became Unions, to CopyRight skill to Limit and prevent others from doing the same work (for less)… where Limit increases the Value of a Product, and results in fewer people being able to have the Product… which results in a Limitation upon an Economic System!
