‘Real News From The Blaze’: Fast and Furious Report Puts Large Blame on ATF

Republican investigators released a joint congressional draft report Monday night on “Operation Fast and Furious,” that puts a large portion of the blame for the botched gun-tracking operation on officials in the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF). The Hill reports that the scathing draft comes after an 18 month investigation into the scandal, and makes the announcement that the House will move “soon” to “commence legal proceedings” to enforce the resolution that placed Eric Holder in contempt of Congress, while making further recommendations about the future of the ATF.
“Strong leadership is needed at ATF to overcome the deep scars left by Operation Fast and Furious,” the report states. “Greater accountability within ATF would underscore that ineffective supervision and recklessness both have consequences.”
While discussion surrounding the Fast and Furious scandal has mostly revolved around the Department of Justice, “Real News From The Blaze” Tuesday examined the role, history, and culture of the ATF in 2012, in addition to the bureau’s involvement with the gun-tracking operation. Finding the truth about the mess has brought those investigating Fast and Furious to false and curious. My question is this. Why isn’t the investigation a standard criminal investigation? Fast and Furious was illegal by any definition of illegal. It is not legal to give guns to known criminals who will obviously use the guns for criminal purposes. If we have people in positions of law enforcement who can’t figure that much out, why are they still working in law enforcement?

The “save thuh” groups are tying up courts and causing expense and using taxpayers money to play “save thu” anything but human babies games they play. It is all being used as part of a financial drain on this country to block fishing, farming, waterways, corporations and keep Americans without jobs or ways to supply their own families.
