‘Real News From The Blaze:’ F&F Update as DOJ Refuses to Pursue Holder Investigation

During the House vote last week that would hold Attorney General Eric Holder in contempt of Congress regarding cooperation in a congressional investigation of Operation Fast and Furious– Oversight Chairman Darryl Issa added a letter to the congressional record which gave explicit detail of the information contained in wiretap applications that would suggest senior officials at the Department of Justice were well aware of the gunwalking.

“The enclosed wiretap affidavit contains clear information that agents were willfully allowing known straw buyers to acquire firearms for drug cartels and failing to interdict them — in some cases even allowing them to walk to Mexico,” The Hill reports Rep. Issa said in a letter sent to his panel’s ranking member Elijah Cummings (D-Md.), which was put into the record on Thursday.

“In particular, the affidavit explicitly describes the most controversial tactic of all: abandoning surveillance of known straw purchasers, resulting in the failure to interdict firearms.”

Despite this, the Department of Justice informed Rep. Issa Friday that they would not be pursuing a prosecution of Holder, with one of Holder’s subordinates Deputy Attorney General James Cole writing to Speaker of the House John Boehner that the attorney general’s failure to turn over duly subpoenaed “Fast and Furious”documents “does not constitute a crime.” Cole went on to cite the president’s invocation of Executive Privilege in its reasoning for not pursuing investigation of Holder.

On “Real News” Monday the panel reviewed the recent developments in the Fast and Furious investigation and controversy surrounding Eric Holder, speculating what could be the reason for inability to find any middle ground between House Republicans and the Department of Justice.     We, the People have been used to living by rule of law for over two hundred years. When government officials deliberately flout the law, ignoring summons, threatening judges, having people killed, etc. we don’t know where to turn. The colonists gave King George a Petition of Grievances. When he ignored it, we declared independence from a tyrant. We have told Obama our grievances. He replied that it made him smile to look at people marching about taxes. “You would think they’d say thank you”
    When a man claiming to be president makes such a snide, arrogant remark about the American people, he needs to be removed from the office he is infesting.

    Bull, there is motive. way back when the report came out that guns were coming from the citizens of the United States . . . which caused Obama to put forth the regulation that the southern states on the border must go through hoops in the sales records of gun sales . . . what is there in hiding???? THE FACT THAT THIS WAS ALL DONE AS A SET UP TO TAKE OUR SECOND AMENDMENT RIGHTS AWAY. If there had been no whistle blower, they would have proceeded from those sales records to divisively concoct proof that the citizens were not responsible enough to have guns. AT THAT TIME, I POSTED one of my targets from the range with a small grouping to get attention to it, and asked the question . . . WHO REALLY BELIEVES the guns in Mexico are coming from American Citizens? No one is even going to steal my gun.

    Many of you do not like Romney for one reason or another, but can we really let this type of corruption stay in place? I will vote for Romney just to remove the evil that is in power at this time. Another four years of this and we will have to raise our hands in our homes to go to the bathroom. All of our freedoms will be taken away, the only upside is people will stop coming to America because it will be worse that their country.

      You think a moderate RINO Republican has what it takes to change America’s course towards Socialist ruin? We’d better hope he does: because, if he fails, the Liberals, likely under Hillary, will be back in the WH in 4 years – under the banner of “Our way WAS working! It took decades to put the US in the hole: You just didn’t give us enough time to work things out”! We are attempting to elect what may turn out to be the last Republican administration this Nation will ever see. Their failure to do what is necessary, instead of what is politically expedient, could make this election a win for the left even if they lose!!! We need a President, and a Congress, that will work to END that which is bringing us down, not just knock it back a step or 2!

      Obama is a true racist. Why does the US President hate the advancement of the standard of living for Mexico’s poor? Barrack Hussein Obama; how dare you deprive Mexico its young educated and motivated people? These illegal aliens now in the US are the only hope for Mexico and you want to keep them here in the US. They could start businesses, create jobs, and improve the standard of living for the poor people of Mexico. Yet you want to be selfish and deprive Mexico of these talented youth who could make life better for all the people of Mexico. SHAME ON YOU! Have you no compassion for the poor now living in Mexico? Gustavo Arellano, Steve Gallardo, Nicky Diaz Santillan, and La Raza need to insist that all these young educated and talented Mexicans be sent back to Mexico to help improve the standard of living for the poor Mexicans.     You balless son-of -guns pardon any pun or referances to the topic. But I hold Washington DC IN CONTEMPT of AMERICA for not doing the job’s that you were elected to do in the first place, You make laws and impose new regulations uopn the people but exempt your selves. How frigin’ convenient, most of you are collage educated and studied law or the courses that taught how to get around them and then use this knowlage to protect your self. Pick up a copy of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights They were writen so the layman could understand them 236 years ago!
    If the average American citizen lies in court or to a court depending on the crime that they are lying about is going to cost money or jail time! how the hell are you above the citizen part here “ well obama” I can understand I still dont belive he is but that is another editorial.

      We are occupied by a lawless regime. Or perhaps more accurately, their laws apply to us, but not to them. Sounds like the old Kings and Princes routine.
      Ancient Rome hated kings after all they kept killing them off.
      What about “the land of the free, and the home of the brave”? So far we have been sheep so we will probably stay sheep. Every year our lords and masters will shear us like sheep, then herd us to our culling like sheep (Obama Care), and then allow certain of us to breed like sheep.
      All the time while singing the lullaby entitled “We Can Fix This With The Next Election”. Sure we can, sheep!

    Department of Justice or Department of Corruption?..I’m leaning towards the latter. Maybe it’s time to bust out the tar and feathers, along with charges of treason, and the punishment that ensues, of course. I’m sick of all the cowards not enforcing Justice for the risk of being labeled a racist. Pathetic..

    Maybe the real news crew should read this article if they are not going to speculate on why they did what they did in F&F. I’ve known since day one of the first report on TV. And I’m pretty sure that the agent Zapata and the other agent he was with in Mexico were sent on a wild goose chase and targeted because of this operation. They and Brian Terry were somewhere where they normally would not have been!?
