This week’s Real History piece focused on the history of the Medal of Honor – originally an idea that did not have a lot of popular support, only to soon become the military’s highest honor, and its recipients symbols of heroism and the highest standard bearers of patriotism.
Our most recent wars have seen only 3 living medal of honor recipients – the least in the history of the award. Despite many acts of heroism that would have qualified previously, the medal is not awarded. Why? Watch a clip from Friday’s ‘Real News’ program featuring a history of the Medal of Honor from its inception, leading up to some controversy that surrounds the award today.

Posted on August 3, 2012 at 7:49pmLet me tell you something. Back in the 1980′s all you people cared about was jobs, jobs, and the economy. The Iron Curtain came down, and you all went back to sleep regarding Communism, and Communism flourished in the U.S. And look where you’re at now. Right now all you care about is jobs, jobs, and the economy. If Mitt Romney gets in there – Islam is going to flourish in the United States. Quite frankly I’d rather see WW3.

Because that’s the same affect as the Iron Curtain coming down. I promise you, there is no wrath like a Father’s scorn.

Posted on August 4, 2012 at 9:27amIf Romney is elected Islam will flourish. Fine. If Barack HUSSEIN Obama is re-elected it will flourish. It has nothing to do with POTUS. It has everything to do with people.
And yes, jobs jobs jobs is important. It used to be what America was about. Why do you think millions of our ancestors got on those horrid boats and sailed here? For medals of hornor or for jobs? We are the beacon of light because of our prosperity. It is our prosperity that comes from our character and our character is shaped by our relationship to our creator and our beliefs in our rights that originate from him.
This has nothing to do with Romney or Obama or any other election. It has to do with generations of people losing who they are and having been brainwashed by academia and political correctness to reject the character that made it all possible. Ask any veteran, they don’t want their children to fight. I don’t want my sons to have to witness war or kill someone for that matter. It stains your soul and haunts you all your days. It robs men of their innocence and it isn’t why God put us here. If you have to then you have to. We ought not seek it out. I want my boys to be engineers, have families, go to church, PROSPER, grow this thing that is America. That isn‘t war and it isn’t plutocracy and it isn’t fascism/statism/socialism (whatever the word for now is).
