On Tuesday, “Real News” aired a special report “Showdown Wisconsin,” that featured Ami Horowitz’s interview of Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker and extensive analysis of the interests in play behind his recall. With Walker’s Democratic challenger now set in Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett, polling shows the two candidates in a statistical dead heat as out-of-state groups have expanded to both campaigns giving further evidence that the Wisconsin election may serve as a precursor to the general election and have lasting implications for the future of entitlement reform and workers’ rights.
Heated discussion on the race continued on “Real News” Friday. Check out this clip from today’s show:

Posted on May 14, 2012 at 9:59amThe truth is that some Unions (Wisconsin Teacher Union) are as corrupt as the corporation they love to chastise. Through collaboration, Unions, School Boards and Arbitration officials has made it so in the small community of Chippewa Falls WI, 5000 students, the local tax payers spend 2.75 Million so 113 teachers can retire at 57. We pay for their health insurance and give them a stipend. This is true in virtually all public school districts and hardly no one in this knows this as the media is not telling the people. It will be interesting when the tax payers get informed as they work till 65 or later but have been subsidizing early retirement for teachers.

Posted on May 13, 2012 at 6:26pmWe are under asault by these damn unions. I had to join a union in order to get my job – a job I desperately needed here in Missoula where it’s hard to get hired no matter how qualified you are.
Report Post »So I work in the clerical side of a teachers’ union – and I’ve never realized so many teachers are so plain a** stupid. English teachers don’t know punctuation; business teachers don’t know how to keep inventory; math teachers can’t teach a freshman simple math. It’s scary to me – I was always a very good student.
I’m in a State that I HAVE to pay dues and it really makes me angry because my union is completely socialistic, communistic, and thousands of dollars go every year to the democrat party.
The current day school curriculum is very leftist – my daughter, who lives in California, just told me today that her daughter, 6-years old, is now being taught about being fat and how she has to restrict her diet. EXCUSE ME – this is kindergarten!!! And here is this little child now afraid to eat because everything she eats can lead to obesity???
I am so angry. Excuse me, teachers – get on to teaching the three R’s and leave the getting fat or skinny up to the parents.
And, while the teachers are spending all this time on weight and appearance, they’re sending the kids home with homework that the parents now have to partake in 5 – 10 hours a week IN KINDERGARTEN!
When I was a working mom, I didn‘t have 10 hours a week to spend on my daughter’s homework!
This has got to

Posted on May 13, 2012 at 3:27pmHistorically, America has had differing needs in differing eras. At one time, Unions represented the workers on America. They did a heroic job, and deserve their place in the history books. Today, it is the era of the individual. Men and women, who are now able to make choices as to who, and where and for how long they will devote to a given job. We chose where we live, under what conditions we live and even have the new choice of ending ones life. Living wills are a classic example. The era of the individual is now….as such, now is most certainly not the time to be paying some archaic institution part of our monthly pay…..again, that should be by choice…….Our choice.

Posted on May 12, 2012 at 8:46pmA Walker win is, in the long term, not important until all Democrats—Communist, plain Jane Socialists, Useful Idiots, Union robots, and Fascists, all so-called Americans—are not just defeated at the polls and thier political party deconstructed forever. That may mean a few deaths, but call it collateral damage.
With schools filled with socialists teaching socialism from texts that are incorrect and untruthful, an occasional “victory” by genuine Americans is simply not enough. Think otherwise? You fool yourself.

Posted on May 12, 2012 at 10:56amRemember that the unions have billions to spend on this and they defeated John Kasick in Ohio.
Recalling a Governor is a MUCH bigger prize for the unions and it is the last opportunity to stop them.
If you can support Walker in ANY way, please do. This is one we cannot afford to lose.

Posted on May 12, 2012 at 7:21amWalker is the man. He wins by seven. On victory night he quotes Louis XIV, “Apres moi, le deluge”. The unions lose here and they are exposed as paper tigers.

Posted on May 11, 2012 at 9:13pmSee how great Unions worked out for Detroit and Flint, MI! Oh, they are both black ghettos that even blacks want to escape from. I guess that wasn’t a very good example. There must be some other cities they can destroy in the future that are untainted by these Communist impregnated groups.

Posted on May 11, 2012 at 7:28pmUnions leaders want that dues AUTOMATICALLY collected by the State of Wisconsin. Obama sent in Trumka to “organize” the unions to get the damned union dues back on the Obama track! There are a whole bunch of teachers that really like to have that $85.00 a month for themselves.

Posted on May 11, 2012 at 7:21pmNote that in this week’s primary, more folks voted for Gov. Walker than all Democrats combined. Not a good sign for Walker’s opponents.

Posted on May 11, 2012 at 7:18pmIt’s very important that Walker wins,it‘ll show the union pigs their way is wrong and outdated and that we need to get beyond unions because they’re so destructive.Wisconsin has a surplus now and is moving forward without the pig unions causing the state to go broke.
Defeat all politicians across this country that support unions and pretty soon the scourge of unions will be erased.I don‘t think Walker’s going far enough he just wants the pigs to pay a little more,no the answer is union busting and it should be a national sport, see which Governor can terminate the union scourge from their state first.

Posted on May 11, 2012 at 7:37pmCompletely agree. Unions have outlived their usefulness.
I deal with union workers at one hospital and non-union workers at another surgery center. The non-union workers are generally more amibitious and better prepared for surgeries.
This is the elections of all elections. Will we go down the socialist road, or will we return to freedom and personal responsibility?
