‘Real News From The Blaze:’ Investigating Islamic Extremism in the U.S. Military

Military officials and the FBI are investigating more than 100 suspected Islamic extremists within the ranks of the U.S. military according to a new report by NPR, about a dozen are considered “serious” cases. On “Real News” Wednesday the horrific Ft Hood shooting was reexamined to recall how dangerous radicalism within our military could be–and ultimately how far the problem could escalate. To make matters worse, it appears internal investigations and media coverage of the problem could be being watered down due to political correctness.
Former CIA officer and Diligence LLC President Mike Baker joined GBTV to discuss the problem of Islamic extremism infiltrating our military and the self-imposed obstacles to investigating and eradicating the issue.

Posted on June 28, 2012 at 12:41pmThis is such an important topic, I watched the whole segment and was very disappointed by the guest Mike Baker. Baker brought no substance to the discussion just some rehashed talking points on airport profiling after cracking some joke. I was offended that he led with a joke about the Kardashians, really cheesy. 13 people were shot in cold blood, 29 wounded and this guy leads with a joke? It made me cringe. I really like the Real News panel, but this guest Baker was a waste of time.
