‘Real News From The Blaze’: Is Obama‘s ’Private Sector Doing Fine’ Remark a Flub or Freudian Slip?

President Barack Obama’s remark Friday that the “private sector is doing fine” went viral and is still being discussed through the weekend despite high profile walk backs from Senior Campaign Advisor David Axelrod Sunday and White House Press Secretary Jay Carney Monday.

Rather than diving deep into the ongoing political debate around the statement, Will Cain and Buck Sexton led the “Real News” panel in discussing where the private sector is now, especially as Moody’s just announced that they will downgrade the ratings of five of six largest banks in the United States. With the “private sector” suffering, the public sector is put in a positon with little room for error or excessive spending. The panel went on to debate whether Friday’s remark from was a gaffe, Freudian slip, or perhaps as S.E. Cupp speculates, the president relying on a receptive liberal media and the idea that “it’s not a lie if you believe it.”

My 87 year old father voted for Obama. Even HE admits it was a mistake. And he rarely admits to a mistake…………..

Now they are in disbelief that 6 words could cost Obama the election. Hmmm. The private section is doing fine. Kinda like, read my lips, no new taxes. Odd how different 6 little words are perceived by the left. Could it be bias? Yes, 6 words could do it and I hope it does.

A certain amount of people out there will believe anything Obama tells them because they’re emotional, confused, stubborn, infatuated, and/or ill-informed by the MSM. Obama is counting on that. I think he flings lies into the crowd because he’s confident the lies will stick somewhere. He’s also counting on most of the media not to call him out on the lies. I do not for one minute think Obama really believes the private sector is doing fine. But he would certainly like us to believe it. Reelection trumps truth.

No way was this a slip……everything this pos does is deliberate, and calculated…..for maximum results….this comment was to lead the way to complain about the government workers….e.g., poor unions having to fire people…..boo hoo, hoo…….sore loser looking at Wisconsin….

It was a policy anouncement. Obama will only put in place policies that will help 1.Public Sector Unions (because they donate to him) 2. Green Energy Companies (because they donate to him) 3. Government Handout recipients (because they vote for him). His policies in a nutshell. The rest of us are screwed.

Possibly, just possibly, critics are taking Obama’s comment out of context. Put it into context. Obama is hobnobbing almost daily with 1 percenters willing and capable of parting with up to $40,000 to gnash with Obama. Those are private sector employees, are they not? And they are doing just fine.

Ya know, I’ve learned more from this website about this country than I ever did in highschool. I don’t remember hearing anything remotely negative about FDR, or that he had any kind of agenda. Thank you thx1138v2 for teaching me someting today.

Obama’s plan to kill the private sector is right on schedule, so his plan is doing fine. He just let a glimpse of his plan slip out a bit. He will run from it a bit and the media will bury it so probably not much damage done.

The private sector IS doing fine according to Obama’s plan. That is not, however, a good thing. That just means his plans for the private sector are doing fine and everything is going according to The Plan.

you can not expand the public sector without the private sector growing. They lost public jobs because the Obama stimulus money ran out.

Your first statement is only true in a fiscally responsible government. We haven’t had that for a long, long time. The Obama administration’s goal is to have everyone working for the government. It’s known as communism. Take a look the the following link. The only thing not yet accomplished in the action list is the last item.

It was definately a flub – you can tell by reading the context of what he was saying. Obama was complaining about how the public sector is not doing well…He used the private sector as a comparison

If the public sector is struggling – we should be CELEBRATING. Instead, we play these political games. SAD

Of course he will say it’s doing fine. For him to take over an industry and Nationalize it, you have to bankrupt it. Look at the Auto industry, the Home Loan industry, the Banks, and if he can take over, the Medical industry. How else do socialist run a country, if capitalism works, things aren’t fine, for Obama and his minions. If the country is tanking, “Hey everyone, going along as plannned, Did you happen to see Snooki has nudie pics????” Go back to sleep Amerika, all is well, things are fine, Madonna flashed her 53 year boobie, and American Idol is on.

I’m glad to see someone is finally getting it. The following link has a graphic showing the plan. It is a 1934 political cartoon about FDR but it looks really familiar. The only thing not completed in the action plan is the last item. Please pass it around.

Obama is the king of doublespeak. He tells groups that he is for Single Payer Healthcare, but then tells the media is is not. That is just one example, there are dozens more. I just hope the last think he ever says on TV is “How could I lose this bad?”

Yep. Most of what Obama means is in what he doesn’t say. Like fundamentally transform America to what?

The other thing Americans aren’t recognizing is that when Obama says “tax the rich” he means YOU. The poorest of the poor in America are rich by global standards. Since there are a lot of rich people in America, most people don’t think they are rich but by global standards they are in the top 5%. So all the nitwits that buy into the “tax the rich” scenario are buying into taxing themselves while all the time thinking that it is someone else that is going to be taxed..
