‘Real News From The Blaze:’ NATO Protests a Preview for National Party Conventions?

Protests have raged in Chicago over the last two days as the city hosts the North Atlantic Treaty Organization summit. An antiwar march Sunday turned violent as anarchist “black bloc” protesters charged a line of riot police outside the summit, resulting in 45 arrests. Earlier in the week police arrested five activists on terrorism-related charges. With protesters arrested for planning to blow up bridges and seeking to build pipe bombs, to being found with Molotov bomb-making materials, some have become concerned for the Chicago Law Enforcement and police ability moving forward to control dangerous activists in a civil manner.

On “Real News” Monday the panel was joined by Aaron Cohen of IMS Security to discuss what the Chicago police were doing right in handling the protesters and Occupy Wall Street “black bloc,” and what could law enforcement learn from for the national party conventions in Tampa and Charlotte at the end of the summer.

Wisconsin has a chance to change the whole focus of our citizen’s rights. Just look at what Walker will do to help: http://savewideerhunting.info/ Hurray. We’ve hit the toxic jackpot to people power and safety!

I live in Tampa and the OWS crowd, et al, are of great concern to the RNC this August. Haven’t heard much of them in this town in the past but come time for theconvention they will show up in droves.

What a sad bunch. They could get jobs. They are out there. They just don’t pay what they think they deserve.

Not too fast POX. Ron Paul will have his “Action Figures” there to thwart any attempt to make them look good. I mean make you look bad. I mean make them look bad and you good.

Ah heck, you’ll probably end up on the same side as usual… forget I said anything.

“Ah heck, you’ll probably end up on the same side as usual…”

I know, right? Can’t the Left and the Right get along for five minutes, and work together… to get rid of these Ron Paul cultists?

Now that would be some bipartisanship.

We already have a bipartisan effort in Washington crapping on the Constitution. We wouldn‘t be so loud an annoying if they’d leave the Bill of Rights alone. Or if they were to obey the laws instead of rewriting them.

I have a suggestion. The Ron Paul barbarians should take this opportunity to show everyone after years of talking tough on the internet, stampeding over Jews in Las Vegas, causing chaos and mayhem wherever they go, disrupting just about every GOP and Conservative event they are invited too (or crash), that they actually have America AND the GOP‘s best interest at heart instead of disrupting the Party of Ron Paul’s choice.

Ron Paul barbarians at the gate, vs the Obama barbarians heading towards the gate. Let’s see if they can actually walk the walk, instead of all the tough talk and do something positive for a change for the Party of Ron Paul… the GOP. Stand tough Ron Paul followers, beat your chests, give your best bluster… and send the other barbarians packing!

The Tampa GOP Convention and well-rounded Conservatives need you and so does America! Lol.

You mean the “conservatives” who just got together and said it was OK for the government to use propaganda on its citizens?

how about they adopt enough of our platforms to attract the bases that Ron Paul gets that would result in Obama losing or never win another presidential election ever again, simple as that.

JUST. Certainly not happy about it, but I’m not going to let paranoia of what COULD happen get the best of me.

INDIV. I’m not exactly sure I would WANT the “bases” that Ron Paul attracts for the “most part”.

The incorporation of about 3/4 (maybe slighly more) of Ron Paul’s platform is a NO-GO where I’m concerned.

This is way beyond paranoia. TSA, DHS, Patriot Act, NDAA, HR347, CISPA… now this? This is full blown tyranny considering the only legitimate use of power by the federal government is to protect the freedom of its citizens.

here is something the cops can learn from Chicago, don’t attack peaceful protestors or they may defend themselves from life threatening attacks on them.

um nothing wrong with being anti war and wanting tax dollars to go to American people instead of worthless foreign countries and warfare. Also nothing wrong with wanting our constitutional rights respected and the willingness to fight for it, its better if they are and it means there freedom fighters unlike you neo cons.
