‘Real News From The Blaze’: Obama Executive Order on Deportation Takes Effect

Tens of thousands of young illegal immigrants lined up across the country Wednesday to begin accepting applications for deportation deferrals as the Federal immigration agency began to initiate part one of President Obama’s executive order following the inability to pass the DREAM Act. Once again, Arizona Governor Jan Brewer has responded with an executive order of her own.
The Republican Arizona governor ordered state agencies Wednesday to deny driver’s licenses and other benefits to young illegal immigrants who obtain work authorization under this program, in order to stop “…unlawfully present aliens inappropriately gaining access to public benefits contrary to the intent of Arizona voters and lawmakers who enacted laws expressly restricting access to taxpayer funded benefits and state identification.”
Finding a way to sensible Immigration reform and improved border security is a pertinent yet highly divise issue in American politics. Is granting deportation deferrals a move by the federal government that increases the burden on states already experiencing a fiscal crunch? Is it time, as Brewer suggests, for States to defend themselves against policies like Obama’s executive order? Watch a clip from “Real News From The Blaze” Thursday taking on these questions.

Posted on August 19, 2012 at 11:57amEven though the the young people cannot vote, their friends and relatives can. Obama is buying their votes. If Obama wins the election, he will need those trillion rounds of ammunition the administration has recently bought for government agencies.

Posted on August 17, 2012 at 4:55pmLiberal commentators are in a frenzy about Gov. Brewer essentially countermanding Obama. Some even saying she is breaking the law (shows their depth of understanding on what a law is). An executive order is not a law and has NO effect on how States choose to operate. The rest of the governors should follow suit. If yours hasn’t, you should call or e-mail them. This will (no doubt part of the strategy) play havoc with attempts later to determine residency.

Posted on August 17, 2012 at 6:55amThe sins of the father are visited upon the children. It is not our fault that these kids were (dragged) here. Did we not already pay for all their schooling, welfare, medical, food stamps, school breakfast & lunches.Estimated cost to this country for illegals is over 600 billion dollars. Most who turn 18 still don’t bother to become legal. They are a blight to this country as much as roaches are to your home. Our citizens are going hungry and without jobs, welfare, medical help, housing etc. That 600 billion would go a long way in taking care of our own.

Posted on August 17, 2012 at 7:26amI don’t see our “citizens” standng in grocery store parking lots all day looking for day jobs. I don’t see them showing up ay 4AM in fields ready to get $20.00 cash per hour for backbreaking labor picking produce. I don’t see them buying old lawn mowers and working from 5AM to 6PM as gardeners. I dont see them doing any number of things to get work and take away these same jobs and more from ilegals. I don’t see them living in small old houses with 6 people per room in order to pay their OWN way and live within their means.
Oh, oh… I get it. If the illegals were not here, then we could save those billions and instead give it to our “citizens” who’d prefer to sit on their couch watching ScoobyDoo cartoons all day and get a free ride.
I don’t want them here either…but I‘d rather spend the money on those helping themselves rather than more freeloaders who won’t even try.
And yes, there are a percentage that are druggies and criminals…about the same percentage as our own fine “citizens.”

Posted on August 25, 2012 at 7:01amTo the Almighty response; You are correct in your comment and I agree to some extent. But you are mainly pointing out one group of immigrants. It’s obvious that you are commenting on the people from Mexico. But this order encompasses all illegal immigrants. The ones that are living in little clicks called terrorist cells. Also the ones who mainly focus on importing and selling narcotics. Even though there are decent hard working family people that fall in this category. The order cannot be exclusive.

Um, no? It will cost them far less than tracking down a bunch of what are essentially Americans, and the allowance to work and be on the rolls means increase tax revenues.

Posted on August 17, 2012 at 7:50amMost are not working, kid. If they were, I personally wouldn’t care about their status. Head to an emergency room sometime, especially in places like Texas, and watch as “services” are consumed by “essentially Americans” aka the words you cannot bring yourself to write – ILLEGAL immigrants.

Since any applicants have to prove they came to the US when under the age of 16, I‘d say it’s because they didn‘t have any choice in the matter and shouldn’t suffer for their parents’ actions. Many of these kids grew up as – and believing themselves to be – Americans. There’s little difference between them and your average natural-born citizen.

I don’t trust the government workers to correctly do their jobs. Some Hispanic could cross the border the day before, and the government worker would certify that person based on being Hispanic
Another thing, why is this program only for Hispanics? Isn’t it possible that other Nationalities came here, illegally, with young children? This smells like discrimination to me – based on race and ethnicity.
